We came for dinner last week and came in right as they opened. The inside is decorated very authentically and service was very prompt. We ordered a bunch of dishes as they all were priced pretty well and we wanted to try a little of everything. The soup dumplings were great and hot. The sizzling baos were not as good as the dumplings but we still enjoyed them. We also ordered the sweet and sour pork, salt and pepper fish filets, and green beans. They were all very good. Sweet and sour pork was a little dry, though. One of the only issues we encountered was that apps and dumplings came out with everything else at the same time. Would have been nice to enjoy those first before the mains came out.

This place is great and has a good mix of authentic Chinese dishes and American Chinese as well. The soup dumplings are really good and they are pretty massive! They did break a bit easy but the soup and meat portion inside is super generous and the broth was very rich. I enjoyed the rest of the dishes especially the stewed chicken it tasted very familiar. Overall this is a great place and I look forward to trying more things! Service was pretty wonderful too.

We enjoyed almost everything at China Blue. Surprisingly, we really liked eggplant though we don't usually care for the texture. The eggplant paired well with the string beans. The seasoning on the beef and fish filet were delicious. Beware of their dumplings as they're really big. I thought they were a bit expensive, but after noticing their size, the prices were reasonable. I liked the chive and pork dumplings the best. My least favorite were the vegetable dumpling as they were lacking in filling so tasted too much of oil. The soup dumplings were decent.

Stopped by for dinner and wait was about 10 minutes. Menu is extensive with lots to choose from. We ordered the stir fried green beans, spicy fish fillet, and beef bone noodle soup with white rice and everything was absolutely delicious. The fish fillet was honestly one of the best I've ever had, so flavorful and tender. The green beans were perfectly crisp and the soup was hearty and comforting. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated, which made the experience even better. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.

China Blue is located in a super convenient, busy plaza where you can find everything from groceries to bubble tea to salons. There's always plenty of easy parking, which makes it a stress-free place to stop by for lunch or dinner. The food here is consistently amazing -- fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I've tried several dishes on the menu, and everything has been great, but the Guo Bao Pork is hands-down my favorite. Crispy on the outside, tender inside, and the sauce is just perfect. The service is also top-notch. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and always happy to offer recommendations if you're not sure what to try. Insider tip: If you plan to visit regularly (which you probably will after trying it once), be sure to purchase one of their gift cards -- they offer a huge discount, and it's such a good deal that it pays for itself quickly. Highly recommend this place whether you're dining in with friends, grabbing takeout, or celebrating a special occasion. You won't be disappointed!

Found on tik tok! This place is so yummy! We started off the meal with string beans in chili oil and the fried cheese wontons. Our only complaint is that the string beans weren't warm. The orange chicken was freshly made and delicious! We also really enjoyed the spicy pork soup dumplings. Overall we enjoyed the meal and would absolutely return!

China Blue has become a favorite dinner spot for my friends and I! Every time we go we always order the Fried Cream Cheese Wontons. It is the perfect start to any dish you choose to order. The portions sizes are generous and is perfect for sharing with a group if you want to have dinner family style! The servers are very nice and will get your food out to you quickly!

We had a great meal here at this restaurant in an area where many wonderful Chinese restaurants converge. We ordered the beef with broccoli, spicy fish fillet, and steamed pork buns. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and the portion was generous. The beef was tender and well-seasoned, plus crisp broccoli and onions. The fish fillet dish was delicious, tender fish in a spicy, rich savory broth with plenty of chili peppers. The pork buns were soft and fluffy, stuffed with juicy, delicious minced pork. Service was friendly and attentive (don't forget this is a Chinese restaurant :) The interior has a beautiful Chinese decor, with rustic wooden furniture and paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling. If you're into some Chinese food like me, come here and give it a try.

We felt like the food was a bit salty and some dishes we ordered, seemed to have changed maybe for that day or they got a new chef, like the garlic shrimp. Ours was battered and fried but pictures online and our family had them just whole and non battered another visit. We did really enjoy the xiao long bao and cucumber salad though. Service was a bit spotty, at times we were checked on a lot and other times it was hard to find our server. The restaurant is beautiful inside which is super surprising, you wouldn't know by looking at the outside however where we sat in the corner of the front windows, there was a slight mildew smell.

This place has a nice ambience and is a great place to eat with family! We got the dandan noodles, eggplant with minced pork, salt and pepper fish, flat noodles with beef, some sort of spicy beef dish, and their pork buns. Everything was so good, especially the eggplant and the fish. I think this has become one of my new favorite Chinese places in Plano.

came here with my family when visiting dallas and everything was so yummy! the food was nothing special but a great comfort meal we had great service and the interior was very warming!

8 Xiaolong Bao-I thought these were delicious. However, the rest of my family did not like.

The food was delicious. There were a few things we enjoyed more than others. And most of the dishes were as authentic as can be in America. We had a very kind server who helped us choose our meal. She gave us free tastings of wine and complementary hot and sour soup. The ambience is very quaint and styled and an upper class Chinese restaurant We got the cucumber salad, the spicy wonton, sizzling, beef, hot and sour soup, green beans, soup, dumplings, and shrimp fried rice. Out of everything I just mentioned I thought the cucumber salad was spectacular, the hot and sour soup was worth its weight and the green beans were absolutely delicious. The other items I mentioned were good, but not something I think I would crave or go back to. We got a bottle of plum wine And it was absolutely divine.

Great spot for fresh and tasty dumplings. This place says dumplings for a reason all of them were good. Also the general tso chicken was some of the best I've had. The plum wine was amazing! Fast and efficient service

We were greeted right away and the restaurant is welcoming with an assortment of booths and some large round tables. The server was friendly and she provided great service throughout our meal. We started with the steamed dumplings which were honestly middle of the road and we the weakest part of our meal. The entrees were uniformly outstanding. We had the Beef Chow Fun which tasted great and was less oily than versions we have had elsewhere. We also had the combination crispy noodles which were well prepared with tender beef and some great shrimp. We capped it off with the General Tso which was delicious. Yes, completely inauthentic but so tasty!! This restaurant is absolutely one of the best Chinese spots in the DFW area. Highly Reccommended!

But the reviews were suspiciously glowing, so curiosity (and hunger) won. We pulled up and I took one look at the building: older, unremarkable, zero curb appeal. Classic "meh." Inside, several large round tables with lazy Susans, red tablecloths, and Chinese lanterns. They first sat us in a booth but I requested later on to be moved to a large round table since we ordered A LOT. But back to when we first sat in the booth - As a Chinese woman, the second I spotted the older seats with ripped upholstery, it hit me like a culinary prophecy: this place was going to serve me some incredible, authentic Chinese food. I don't know what it is, but there's an inverse law of Chinese restaurants: the less fancy the exterior (and the more the booth looks like it's survived several natural disasters), the better the food. Apparently they skip Instagram-worthy renovations and put the budget where it belongs--on the plate! This is now hands down in my top 3 favorite Chinese restaurant in North Dallas - I can even say it's on the very top. I haven't forgotten about the staff. They deserve 10 stars. Super nice!

We arrived on a Wednesday evening around 7 p.m., and surprisingly, we were the only customers there, considering it was peak dinner time. We also discovered that we needed to pre-order the duck in advance. Luckily, the lady informed us that there was one available for us, but it would take about 30 minutes. We ordered the crispy cucumber salad, xiao long bao, and the dry-fried string beans. The dry-fried string beans were my favorite. The string beans had a delightful crisp texture and a flavorful taste. The cucumber salad was also good, but some parts were a bit soggy. The XLB skin was too thick and chewy, and it didn't taste like the usual soup dumplings, which was disappointing. I was excited for the duck, but I was honestly disappointed when it arrived. The portions were quite small, considering it was a whole duck. It wasn't carved tableside, which was a letdown. Some parts of the duck were dry, and the skin wasn't crispy enough. To add to the disappointment, they charge extra for almost everything. If you want more pancakes or their homemade duck sauce (which tasted like black bean sauce), you'll have to pay an additional $5. Another thing to note is that they are BYOB, so you can bring your own alcohol. However, the menu pictures on Yelp are outdated, and they only offer whole Peking duck, not half orders. Overall, the food was just okay, and I'll probably try a different spot when I'm in the mood for duck again.

One of the best preparations yet. The Singapore noodle combo and Xao Long Bao did not disappoint... More importantly, the service we received was attentive, courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt. Sadly, the eggplant with garlic sauce is the ONLY reason a star is withheld for this review...it detracted from traditional Chinese style; notes of garlic eviscerated by the chef's sweetening to satisfy an American palette...Why fix something that's unbroken?...I get it. The restaurant has to cater to its customers who populate this mix use (business/lease residential) area at the NW corner of Alma and Hwy 121, but doesn't that limit its draw? Guess we'll just have to head either further south on Central (HWY 75) to the Legacy & Spring Creek areas or further west to the Preston and Warren Pkwy Frisco TX area to satisfy our authentic Chinese cuisine food cravings.
