The person seving the food today was very condescending and not customer friendly. Tall girl with Twisties in her hair. I bought curry goat and small oxtail we all know that oxtails have very few meet she gave me about three pieces of oxtail some little little pieces then a bunch of gravy now I think that it's ungrateful to have to pay $13 for a small oxtail meal and put three pieces of meat and some scraping in a corner in the rest vegetables and 2 plantings now I'm not sure she was afraid that all the food was going to be gone before she ate but that's totally wrong. in the last week food is ok and i'v been to plenty of different caribbean restaurants. this one has great patties, ok food, super pricy and horrible customer service! i've been 3 times and the last time i just said forget it i won't be back,to make the long story short. just know if shannelle is there it's going to be horrible service, she will throw your food together on your plate she will talk/spit over your food and she will not give you the amount of food you pay for and i paid $20.31 for one plate that feed one person ughh uselly when you spend that on one plate it's enough for 2,but that's not why they got 2 stars they got 2 because they really do have horrible customer service. read more

I am so disappointed. Usually I go to this location McDonough twice a week to get the cabbage and collard greens. The first time I ordered them it was a good deal $6.98 for large container that she drained the juice. Wow this time I went in and ordered the same the lady was giving me all this juice I asked her to drain some of the juice off she did. I then ask her to fill it with collard green and she said no. I started to walk out but I stayed. When I got home yes it was 3/4 filled. I won't be going there again for a while and when I do decide to go back I definitely will be speaking to management. If you ever visit McDonough Georgia you must stop at the Golden Krust on Jonesboro Road. I love Caribbean food and this place was as authentic As It Gets my sister-in-law has never had this type of food so the employees the good time to explain the food to us and what was they were she had the oxtail I had the curry shrimp both of us were very impressed food was amazing the quantity of this food was above what you would expect to get. I would have given 5 stars but sometimes they are out of the item I went to get. The last few times I was there they were out of beef patties. I've visited this restaurant several times and on all occasions they are stocked with food on the line. Yesterday's visit was very rewarding. I had some red peas soup which was very delicious. My husband and I had a taste for Caribbean food, we normally go to Jerk Palace however we decided to give Golden Krust a try... Boy, how I wish I never opened my mouth to say let's check them out. I ordered a small oxtail meal with rice and peas with a coco bread and my husband had their lunch special jerk chicken with rice and peas. The rice was disgusting, it was tasteless and it was parboiled rice... What happened to cooking with real rice VS precooked rice, especially when you're over charging for your food. The only thing I was able to enjoy were the oxtails, it was very tasty. The cabbage was were tasteless and the plantains was a waste of my time eating it. My husband enjoyed the jerk chicken sauce on top of the chicken however eating it without the sauce it was extremely dry, he had a hard time eating just a little of the rice. The coco bread was so DRY served cold and hard, the taste was not pleasing to my taste buds. I put it in the microwave hoping that maybe it taste that way because it's cold. I turned the microwave on for only 20 seconds and it became so hard and broke like a cracker. I will never eat at this overpriced nonseasoning restaurant again. read more

This is a new facility and as a native Caribbean woman I was so excited to have this bakery/restaurant near by ....finally yes!! But not for long I forgot about the poor business of my fellow West Indian people. It is so hard to support with poor management. I arranged to have several cocktail patties picked up for a huge celebration . Made a down payment and confirmed the order only to arrive the day to have no patties ready. Sales girls looked confused and management was no where to be found. I was asked to wait 30 minutes for them to prepare frozen patties. I was not going to get compensated in any way for the inconvenience and mistake on their part. I asked for a refund and left disappointed and frustrated. Glad other food was prepared.
