The food is quite good, and the kitchen is accommodating with special requests. The facility is clean and the rooms have adequate space. Most importantly, we have been impressed with the involvement between staff and the residents. We had a medical emergency, and I know for a fact that due to the quick action of the staff, our family member received the care she needed and has been making a remarkable recovery. My friend had done a great deal of volunteer work to include Ombudsman for Long-Term Care Facilities so she was well aware of which physicians she wanted to avoid. So we simply started calling Hospice providers while using the speaker phone so we could both be included in the conversation. The first two calls we made were answered by individuals with very strong foreign accents who were difficult to understand and seemed to be in a big hurry as they quickly rattled off answers to our questions. It felt overwhelming. Then we called Hoffman Hospice and the difference was as the night to day! The person we spoke with was understandable, calm and patient answering our myriad of questions. Right then and there we knew who would be her hospice provider. A couple of months later, I unexpectedly became my friend's primary caregiver and experienced first-hand the expertise and care of the wonderful Hoffman Hospice providers. I couldn't have felt more supported during this trying and emotional time.

This place has the very minimum of care. You can't expect a nurse in less than an hour. I'm a…read morepatient and tonight had to wait 4 1/2 hours after requesting a nurse, and then only got one because I got out of bed and went and found someone. Some nights I have had to wait over 6 hours for a nurse. During the day you can usually get a nurse within 1-3 hours. The food ranges from good to something that I wouldn't feed my dog all within the same day. Some of the nurses barely speak English. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate this place a 2. Some of the nurses are nice, and some of them get upset if you require anything. As far as Physical Therapy, some days you get it, and some days you don't. You just never know.

We asked about putting rails on the bed because we didn't want her to wake up & not be able to hold on to something without falling out of bed. The one who was supposed to watch her at night would not assist my aunt in locating her Rosary that fell. She said she didn't hear it fall & would not help her look. My aunt was trying to see if it fell & kept trying to look on the floor. The entire night my aunt was in pain. All they could say was we have to assess her. The next day they were planning on working in her room. Paint, patch holes etc. when we refused they moved her to another room then did it while another patient was right there. The patient was trying to cover her mouth & nose. I honestly never believed that these places exist. But it does.

The care and attention that was given to her while under the care of Divinity was not only extremely professional but more importantly filled with love and genuine care. We consider each of the caregivers our forever friends. Arbi, the owner of Divinity, is a very hands on caring owner. He takes on each patient with attention to detail and takes the time to know them and provide caregivers with the skills to meet their individual needs. My mom would light up when they came in and would always work hard to know their names and talk with them. I cannot recommend Divinity Hospice enough. Your loved one will be in good hands and under great care!
