Also I believe in honest mistakes but most things are reversible to hold on to the client. Telling a client to go to another Nail Garden who excepts gift cards after the booking and session is done is not acceptable. I called ahead to make an appointment and clearly mentioned that I had a gift card and that it would be my first visit. I was referred to Lynn by another client, and everything was scheduled for a set date and time. However, when I finished my $70 service and went to the register, I was told at that point that gift cards are not accepted. VERY Disappointing since it wasn't communicated during the booking call. And one of my nails broke literally a day after. :( Reached out to the manager and he also told me that they accept the gift cards in Encino and Studio City. I got paralyzed from the Covid vaccine in 2021 and a lot of places really don't want to help you. They pretend they do but they really don't but Nail garden of Porter Ranch is different. I was initially communicating with the owner and she was great to deal with. So I made an appointment. The place is situated new I think Ralphs like two stores down or three stores down in Porter Ranch. It's an excellent location for parking. The doors are big enough to walk through or if you're in a Powerchair like me. The inside decor is extremely elegant and it's a very clean nice place. From the moment I arrived staff treated me with kindness and respect. I felt at ease. I interacted with Apple and Scarlet. They were great to talk to. Very calming environment. Everything from the set up to the follow-through seemed perfect for the client. But I'm not going to Nail garden to chat. I'm going to get a service! The real gem here is Toni an exceptional technician who worked on me. Toni is absolutely incredible. Highly skilled and precise in her technique and I've had pedicures all over the world with some of the best in the world. I'm talking about a Mani and Peddi that's $2700. I didn't do that one cause I don't need the diamonds and all blah blah blah but I did it at that place in Dubai. Toni is extremely gentle, kind, doesn't rush you move around to make sure you're comfortable. If she can be so great with somebody who's physically challenged imagine how would be with you? Toni is the real gem here and I've had many treatments in my life but I'm grateful beyond words for the way the owner established this place. I also respect the owner and will support this business because it's female owned and female run from what I've seen so far. The owner deserves a lot of credit for the way they they built the business, including established it and the team they have. Being somewhat entrepreneurial and having built and growing several businesses, I truly appreciate when I see your business built he right way Your business is like an extension of your children so if the owner has four kids with a business you have five kids! Full of Drama, No Professionalism, and Zero Respect for Clients' Time I had an appointment with Sara at 3 PM. The receptionist called and asked if I could come in at 1 PM instead because Sara "had to leave early." I rearranged my day to accommodate her, only to arrive and be told Sara had already left. No apology--just, "Adriana will do your nails." After that, I decided to avoid the confusion and drama, so I booked my next appointment with Fara. Soon after, Sara texted me asking why I switched. I told her it's because she's rarely available. She told me to book with her next time. A month later, I went to book again, but Sara wasn't on the schedule. She told me to book under her sister Paras' name, but that she (Sara) would still come in and do my nails herself. I told her this was too much drama. Without my consent, Sara went into the booking system, canceled my appointment with Fara, and changed it to herself--then texted me saying "I did it" and explaining she booked it under her name. I have the texts to prove it. (See attached screenshots) -- these are her own messages where she admits to switching my appointment without permission and instructs me to book under her sister's name so she could work on me anyway. On the day of that appointment, I arrived at 2 PM and Sara was still busy with another client. I ended up waiting until after 3 PM--over an hour past my scheduled time. While I waited, I told Fara what had happened, and we spoke to the receptionist (who acts like the manager because there is never an actual manager on site). Sara then came up to me and said, "Why are you mad? I came in on my day off for you." I told her I had been waiting over an hour, and if she couldn't take me on time, she should have left my appointment with Fara. I told her this was unprofessional. She eventually did my nails, but also mentioned the receptionist is her best friend--so it was clear nothing would be done. The work environment here is toxic and unprofessional: You constantly overhear gossip about coworkers--who they dislike, who they think is lazy, and how long they work (12+ hour shifts). Receptionists are rude and even talk badly about employees in front of clients. There is no real management presence, so accountability doesn't exist. The day after all this, I called to cancel my membership. The receptionist took my information and then hung up on me without a word. Nail Garden is full of unnecessary drama, unprofessional behavior, and zero respect for clients' time. If you value professionalism, avoid this place. read more

I recently went in for my appt and I had to wait 40 min till I was able to be seen. Online I scheduled the decadent pedicure which was $40. When I sat for my pedicure I was handed a sheet for pedicures and the cheapest one started at $50. 2 days later and nail is messed up and the HARD gel is lifting. I also realized rhe lady doing my pedicure cut my toenail in a way that it ahouldnt have been cut and just left it. This did not happen before when I went to the NoHo west location. Had a much better experience there. Would not recommend this location. For context, my wife and I have been going to this location since their opening week. We have had regular pedicures here for ages, and it's been mostly fine. Except the customer service has been slowly going downhill for months and we've ignored so many things. At first it was little things, like receptionists that were gossipy or techs that were just a little rude. But today, the customer service was appallingly bad. We made an appointment for three services for our daughter, who is gearing up for prom. When we arrived we were told that we were 30 minutes early. I said, "Oh. Our appointment was at 6:30 and the receptionist then said, oh. you have multiple services. It's listed differently." Then she goes outside to call her manager on the phone. When she comes back in she says, "We may not be able to do your brow shaping because we don't have the right tech and the one person who can do it is mid service and I can't just pull her." I am confused. If we had an appointment that you can see for that service, why would you put her on another service of someone who, perhaps, was a walk in? But okay. She asked if we could come back tomorrow instead. Wait. What? Then she backtracked and she said she wasn't sure if they could do all of the services but she'd let us know. Then she told my daughter to choose a color and go sit and wait in a chair. We waited for 40-45 minutes. Someone else came in after us and was taken care of. The receptionist proceeds to gossip with a tech or another person behind the desk and communicates nothing. So we leave. My daughter has a visible disability. I was trying to figure out if the terrible customer service was a result of that or just plain incompetence. It was awful. I guess we will be looking for a new nail place because Nail Garden is definitely not it. read more

I'm leaving this review out of pure frustration. I've been going to this nail salon for two years, and there always seems to be some type of issue with my appointments. Yesterday, I had a booked appointment with Sara at noon, and they called to ask if they could move me to the next day at 10 because she wouldn't be able to do my nails. I agreed and showed up today, 10 minutes early, only to be told she was running late. I sat waiting to start my pedicure and nails, and by almost 10:30, she still hadn't arrived. Very unsanitary my tech didn't change the acetone between clients. My acetone was clearly dirty and she even remarked that she didn't have acetone on her and was asking people if she could have some of theirs. Can't believe that nail garden wouldn't supply their tech with acetone or even have some on hand they could borrow or buy. Acetone can inhibit bacteria but doesn't get rid of all bacteria which can give someone an infection if it's shared between people. read more

I'm writing to express how truly horrified and disappointed I was by the way I was treated during my recent visit to your Porter Ranch location on 5/19/2025. As a loyal customer who has been coming to your salons since the Woodland Hills location was open, I never expected to be treated with such disrespect and humiliation. I understand that not every technician may feel comfortable with every client request, and I completely respected that. When the technician said she was uncomfortable serving me due to the appearance of my feet--which I acknowledge show signs of being an active, athletic person--I calmly and respectfully declined the service without protest. What I am absolutely upset about is not the refusal of service, but how it was handled. Instead of speaking to me quietly or with any sense of discretion, the technician loudly announced her discomfort in front of other clients. This public humiliation was unnecessary, unprofessional, and deeply inhumane. It left me feeling embarrassed, shamed, and completely disrespected. I've supported your business for years and expected the same respect in return.
