Went to Golden Palace for a Saturday lunch with a big family party. Food was ok, they had classic Chinese banquet/dinner dishes but I feel like there's other options in Flushing that are tastier! The restaurant was quiet so food arrived quickly which was nice! Like most Chinese restaurants, service is efficient and nothing more. However towards the end of our meal (~45 min later), it did feel like we were rushed out of the restaurant. There is a parking lot, but fills up quickly so arrive earlier if you can.

Food was absolutely delicious. The Seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly. Service was a mess, but it was LNY, so to be expected. All around a positive experience.

I wasn't super impressed, especially since there are so many great options in the area. They services was subpar and I found the food heavier and greasier than most places. They also only offered bottled water. Not the worst, but wouldn't choose to go back.

Lobster was replete with al dente and firm meat; the fish was also tasty and refreshingly smooth.

We got a private room for dinner to celebrate my uncle's birthday. The private rooms are actually quite nice. It seems a lot of people go there for the private rooms. There is also a parking lot, which is a huge plus when you are driving to Flushing. The food was OK. We ordered a multi course dinner. We ordered peking duck, crispy chicken, fresh live fish, crispy fried tofu with snap peas and conch, seafood soup, abalone with bok choy, pea shots with mushrooms, fried rice, E-mein noodles, and braised short rib. All of the dishes were average. However, the fried rice was above average. Crispy with some dried cranberries, very tasty. At the end, they served sweet red bean soup, and fruit (cantaloupe and pineapple).

Needed to go to my storage and this place was next to my storage. This Chinese restaurant didn't have dim sum the two times I went with my parents. We went there around 12pm to 2pm and they were not serving any dim sum. So we just ordered dishes of noodles and the service was fast. Before the noodles arrived, they served free egg drop soup and it was not warm at all. It was just room temperature and a free appetizer. Once the noodles arrived, I noticed that it wasn't as much on the plate as I expected. They offered very little noodles and it's not as generous as much to the brim although it tasted really good. The stringy noodles came with some mushrooms and greens and it was very chewy and tender. Seasoning was just right, not too salty or drenched in sauce. We also ordered a fried fish and tofu bowl and it was pretty salty due to the fish. Lots of sauce and not really my thing. This dish was mostly for my parents. Overall, a quiet peaceful restaurant with quiet families feasting on various dishes. Very high ceilings with chandeliers and nice Chinese decor on the wall. The menu is very extensive with lots of dishes and it's alright pricing. Bathrooms are by the entrance and very clean. They have bathrooms for each gender.

The food was great my favorites being the shrimp and walnuts and the lobster. The servers always had perfect timing when it came to new plates and switching to dessert. We came around 6:30 and there were a good amount of tables open but as time went on, all the tables filled up. If you want to go, you should go early for lunch or dinner so there's no wait!

This restaurant is a great space to host large groups/gatherings. I was here for a friend's family gathering and we had our own private room with 2 tables. Each table seated 12 people. The facility is clean in general and service was available upon request. The food came out timely. The food was delicious. We ordered many seafood dishes and they all tasted fairly fresh. If you are sensitive to MSG, this restaurant uses MSG in all dishes unless instructed otherwise. I would recommend this restaurant if you want to have family gatherings or even an authentic Chinese meal with some friends. This restaurant has a parking lot available and outdoor dining.

    I still ate it.

The food was ok. I was at a large family dinner, so everything was pre-ordered for us. But the food we got was either deep fried or bland. I also felt pretty thirsty afterwards so they probably added a lot of msg.

This restaurant serves the typical Chinese cuisine. Inside was much smaller than I expected but it's great that there is a parking lot right beside it since parking in Flushing can be hard to get. I didn't like how people smoked super close to the entrance which kind of traveled inside. Luckily, my family booked a private room since we had a banquet style meal for a celebration. As for the food, it was prepared pretty well. I found everything to be delicious, not overly salty and presented nicely. Since I had a banquet style dinner, it covered a variety of dishes. There were soups, chicken, appetizer platters, dungeoness crab, lobster with potato and cheese, lamb chops, fish, and fried rice. After the meal, they also gave us red bean soup and fruits, classic to typical Chinese restaurant dinners. Overall, I think having a private room with relatives definitely made the experience much better. Although everything came out a bit too quick rather than giving us more time to enjoy each dish, I did enjoy the food and found everything to be flavorful.

Satisfactory Chinese food. Portions are on the small side. N. Service is so so. The waiters don't seem to be fluent in English. They probably understood, but often didn't acknowledge or respond. They forgot one dish and gave us one too many sodas. A bit disorganized when restaurant wasnt even packed. Its located in a weird part of Flushing but had plenty of parking in the lot.

This is not in my part of the town. My friend invited me to hang out on a Saturday, and they chose this restaurant for dinner before we headed to Karaoke. I was surprised that we would have to wait for our table even after we made a dinner reservation and the fact that the restaurant only has a 2.5 stars overall rating on Yelp. The first challenge we encountered was that it was not easy to find a parking spot that night. After waiting for more than 30 minutes, we finally got seated at a table by the kitchen doors. We ordered from a preset menu which came with multiple courses. The tables are a little bit cramped, so this is a place for gatherings and celebrations, but not an intimate dinner, as it may feel a little bit unpleasant at time with people getting close to you when they are walking behind you or next to where you sit. There was a big family celebrating a baby's 100 days old birthday at the back of the dining hall that night, they seemed to be having a great time. The servers were very efficient, after we mentioned to them that we're in a rush, they tried to bring out the dishes as quickly as possible. We did not have issues with the service as some of the other Yelpers. Our preset menu came with a cold platter with a variety of meats and jelly fish, a seafood broth, steamed fish with ginger and scallions, coated scallops over a bed of vegetables, steamed chicken with soy sauce, crab with glutinous rice, fried rice, stir fried noodles, stir fried vegetables with mushrooms, red bean soup and assorted fruits. I am probably missing some dishes. The crab with glutinous rice was surprisingly good. It was flavorful and it came with a whole crab with shell. I did not like the way how they prepared the scallops dish, I felt like it was a waste of the scallops, all I could bite into was some batter of some sort. The steamed chicken with soy sauce was good, the meat had a smooth texture and it's falling off the bones. Overall, I think the Cantonese food here is okay. It reminds me of the places in Hong Kong where these traditional dishes are served. You cannot expect the service to be at the Ritz Carlton level when you are dining at a Chinese restaurant in Queens.

1.5 stars. I placed a catering order at 4 pm and went to pick it up at 7 pm. At 8 pm the order was still not ready! I waited over one hour at the restaurant to pick up 8 dishes, that I specifically requested to pick up at a certain time- 7pm. Not only did they forget my order, the restaurant forgot to cook one of the dishes that was supposed to come out with the rest of the catering order which resulted in waiting even longer. The other Yelpers are right. This restaurant uses way too much oil in their dishes especially with the fish, duck, and sea conch. The cucumber salad was not fresh because it was sour and wasn't cold when I got my order. The lobster sticky rice dish was an additional $15 to replace noodles but I did not receive sticky rice, it was regular rice mixed with wild rice so I was ripped off. The chicken was good but it is not crispy as the dish is called 'crispy skin chicken' and did not come with a dipping sauce or any soy sauce. I had a catering order, but the cashier did not ask if I needed any utensils or sauces. The dishes come as a set but no rice was accompanied with the food. There are so many better restaurants with superior menus and pricing in Flushing. If you are looking for a Cantonese dinner, seek other delicious and hassle free options elsewhere within 2 miles.

Cuisine: 6 Service: 7…read moreDecor: 4 Value: 7 I have not been here in a long time. Maybe because the prices are no longer considered cheap eats. Or maybe because my taste buds have evolved over the years. Or maybe it's just not as good as it used to be. The answer is maybe all three and somewhere in the middle. I have never came here, or any other Latino-Chinese restaurants in NYC, for service or decor, so let's set that aside. The value is still somewhat there, but the food did not hit that nostalgic note I was looking for. I wanted to get the Fried Pork Chops (Chuletas De Cerdo Frita), but our server suggested the "juicier" Broiled Pork Chops (Chuletas De Credo Asada) instead. Sorry to report, if that's juicy, then how dry is the fried pork chops? I shutter at the thought. It was also under seasoned. I substituted the House Fried Rice for my side at an $4.50 additional fee. It was just okay and not worth the upgrade. Boneless Crispy Fried Chicken (Chicharron De Pollo) was also a disappointment. The batter was more hard than crispy, but the idea that boneless dark meat isn't more juicy simply tells me that the chef over fried the pieces. It came with Fried sweet plantains, which could have been a but more ripe but not bad. I'm not sure how I feel about the Beef Stew (Carne Guisada), which had relatively tender meat, but the sauce was so weak and lacked any real flavor. The black beans and white rice that came with it was decent. What might bring me back to this restaurant sooner rather than later was the Shrimp Egg Foo Young (foo Young Con Camarones). I felt that the eggs were cooked extremely well, but the star of the show was that delicious brown sauce full of umami. Having this over white or fried rice made this meal much more acceptable. I'm not sure when I'll have another craving for this type of food. If I do, I'll definitely get the egg foo young again. However, the other dishes were misses for me, so maybe I'll try the Fried Pork Chops and Shredded Beef in Tomato SayceRopa Vieja.

Warning to all with a pineapple allergy like me: do not eat the duck sauce. If you like spicy ask for hot mustard instead. Orange chicken was crispy and flavorful. I did not find it spicy, but my spice tolerance is very high. My fiance had the chicken with broccoli and it looked amazing. Try the cold noodles. They are chewy and delicious. For me the fried dumplings were good, but not great. Worth a try but nothing to rave over.

I ordered the cured pork with garlic shoots and dry fried green beans. The cured pork was quite salty, and paired well with the buttery, tender leeks it was cooked with. The dish was not overly oily, and was pleasant over white rice. I enjoyed the chewiness of the pork which allowed you to experience the complex flavor. The green beans were well fried, with characteristic texture signature to this dish. The seasoning was very well balanced and not overpowering to the natural sweetness of the green beans. I would recommend either dish. They were both slightly toned down iterations when compared to the times I've eaten these dishes at other Sichuan restaurants in flushing, but still well seasoned and well cooked. The service was very warm and friendly, and many other customers seemed to be returning regulars.
