I don't frequent buffet style restaurants. But I am glad I gave golden panda buffet a try. We were greeted right away at the front. We were asked if we were going to be consuming soft drinks or water. At first I thought it was a little strange to ask since at other buffets drinks are typically included with the buffet price. But at this place they are not. They will give you a different colored cup depending on what you will be drinking. Price was $20.99 on a Saturday for dinner. They have a pretty nice spread. We enjoyed most of what we ate. The dessert spread was a little disappointing. But otherwise very good.

New reasonable price for Lunch & Dinner. Especially weekends & To Go Meals;)

Mu eldest son treated us here after our doctors appointment. Was greeted, informed us can choose we're to sit since early since they just open. Everything was so yummy and delicious. My favorite was their rice noodles we as Filipino call it Pansit cooked perfectly not greasy. BBQ Pork. Orange Chicken, Fried chicken, all the seafood cooked or fresh was all good. All the California rolls, fresh fruits, selections of soups and salads was all fresh. And selections of desserts and ice-cream all so yummy. WOW! All delicious. Restaurants always kept clean and organized.

I got a fork from the stand and they smelled bad and one had food stuck in it.

My friends suggested to have dinner at Golden Panda Buffet. It was my first time there and my friends were very helpful. You paid upfront before you are seated. The place was spacious and clean. The staff were welcoming and friendly. They were walking around to take empty plates or to clean tables. There were wide selection of food. The buffet included; pizza, fried chicken, beef and broccoli, many fresh sushi rolls, Crab legs, sautéed shrimp, honey walnut shrimps, butterfly shrimp, baked salmon, rice, chow mein, salads, fruits, desserts, ice cream and more. The food was very fresh. The staff who were working behind the open buffet were bringing more fresh and hot food very frequently. The place was packed on Friday night. The staff were really amazing, they cleaned tables very frequently. At the end, one of the staff brought us fortune cookies and asked us if we wanted to take a picture together, so she can take it. We did! She was really sweet. I am glad I went to Golden Panda Buffet because it was such a fun night and a new experience too.

So! I visited here on May 4th, 2025, and it honestly wasn't that bad! This was a first time visit! So I went to read some of the reviews, some of them are negative and some are positive. I would like to call out some of the reviews: - Staff were friendly and helpful! They constantly went around to see if anyone had finished food, and they were on it! Shout out to the staff team on 5/4/2025 sunday morning! - Some Food was hot and fresh (except the fried rice and chow mein)! Almost burned myself getting a sesame ball! The place itself was amazing! The sound was netural, I loved how they had like action lights as the lightning, overrall it was a perfect place for me at least. Pricing is okay! On weekends it's 20.99 per person, however I am unsure for the weekdays. Please check their website!! Desserts were amazing! I loved it! (I even got seconds) Overrall, this buffet is amazing and some of the 1 star reviews are false! Don't believe them.

02/15/2024 Came by the day after Valentines Day there wasn't a lot of people about 30% full. The week day price was $16.99 and $15.29 for seniors. There were several items missing from the weekend menu. 3 different kinds of shrimp and the beef ribs. Still a good value. You can easily spend $12-13 dollars for a burger combo at Wendy's or Jack in the Box. I really love the Hot & Sour soup, Baked Mussels, the Fried Chicken is pretty good too. On a humorous side note I saw 4 one star reviews with the same picture of a roach on the handle of the food tongs hahahaha cmon roaches gotta eat too! Just kidding. Restaurant was clean with no critters walking on the floor.

Stopped by for the first time on Saturday, 10/21/23. - $18.99 per person (all-day price, weekend) x3 = $56.97 OVERALL TOTAL = $62.81 Seafood: Crab, fried unpeeled shrimp, clams, crawfish, sushi Very busy when I dined in. Upon entering, you pay first before being seated. Parking can be tricky especially since its limited to only 2 hours.

Expecting a fried crab on a Friday lunch but they don't have it. Considering the price and the choices are not that great.

Ask the Community - Golden Panda Buffet

Is it worth going an hour before it closes?

I went and got food To Go an hour before closing. I think they stop cooking by then, so most of the food trays were not being re-filled.

Do they have the whole menu? Other buffets that I've been to, for the re-opening after covid do not have a complete menu and I dislike that.

Full menu just like before covid

Do they serve snow crab leg now?

    Nope

Did this place close down? Obviously I know it stopped buffet operations since covid happened, but after that they still did take outs at least. Now it's closed. Is it permanent :(

    It's open

Do they only serve cold crab legs?

    Yes

    Do they do catering services?

    They do.

Does anyone know what the price is for lunch on a Thursday?

Weekdays lunch is $7.99 per Adult

    What time does lunch ends?

Monday to Friday lunch is from 1030 am to 3:30 pm

This location was recently named one of three LA area buffets in the top 150 in the country, based on Google reviews. I've been to a lot of buffets (Chinese and otherwise), and this was near the top, especially based on the price. We came about 30 minutes after its 11 am opening, and the place was already packed with a line waiting to get in. You pay first, getting water and soda cups at checkout (plates are plentiful near the buffet itself). Emmelyn was the check-in associate, and she was joyful and friendly, putting a smile on my wife's face after a stressful drive through LA traffic. We found out that my wife's lunch was free because it was her birthday. Lunch pricing is $15.19 (M-F), minus $1 for seniors and military. Refillable soda is $2.99. It's find your own seating, and we grabbed the first seats we could find. -- being super crowded meant the food was constantly being replenished and kept fresh. It also meant a lot of line (inadvertent) line cutting and careful, slow movements...need to be careful for sure. -- the taste of the food was good, mainly because most things were turning over quickly. However, the selection of dishes wasn't huge, and the soups didn't look too good. -- I focused on the sushi and was satisfied. They had different type simple rolls and nigiri, with soy sauce at each table. They also had a bottle of eel sauce to douse your rolls with more, if you want. Towards the end, discovered a New Zealand green mussel dish in a hot chili sauce, which I took full advantage of. -- the must get is the Mongolian Grill, which dominates the center of the restaurant. There were three types of sliced frozen meat (beef, chicken, pork), a variety of vegetables (including my favorite, baby corn), and various runny sauces that you pour on top when done. Once your bowl is complete, you need to give it to the operator. But here its a bit different: it operates on a unique system that I've only seen here. In the front counter, there are 20 spots where numbered pager sits. Once a person fills up a bowl with raw ingredients, they place it on the next available pager spot, taking the pager with them. Once the food is cooked, the pager goes off. You then exchange the bowl in your spot, with the pager...and the cycle continues. I asked myself what would happen if all 20 pagers were taken, and decided if that happened, you would have to wait since there would be no more space on the grill for your plate anyway. The system worked really well, with all three of us taking advantage of it. Taste wise, I've had better but certainly not for that price. And I just love the efficiency of it all. -- soft serve ice cream was available, and it was very thick and creamy (though a bit off in taste). My wife also mentioned that you can get cotton candy as well. -- Service was good, with an employee in a hostess outfit personally letting us know that she was there to assist us, including getting drinks. She did clear dishes when necessary, but also seemed to be supervising our section. What's interesting is that the same report mentioned King Buffet in Garden Grove, which now seems to be another branch of the Paradise chain. So need to be leery of such reports not being current...but in this case, following its suggestion paid off.

The food is plentiful, fresh and no doubt delicious, but focuses more on Asian-focused meals, so don't expect a massive variety from your typical buffets. The entire place is well lit to show how much they care to show how pristine they keep everything in this beast of a modernized buffet. As for the service, they pride themselves on being friendly and attentive to what we need. I recommend coming to this place if you love sushi, mongolian BBQ, & their cakes being prime highlights here, but be cautious of the long wait times to be seated.

This time, we tried this place again and it's better! The food is still similar to all other buffets, but I think I prefer this place's chicken wings, baked mussels, bbq ribs, and beef stir fry. It is similar price range as other buffets ($20) and drinks are paid separate as usual. Refillable fountain drinks if you prefer but having water works too. The sushi is a hit or miss, I had great sushi rolls but other days it might have been sitting for too long. They refill their trays as food is getting less and I like that there's someone around to ask when they will bring a fresh batch. The tables are numbered so it's easy to know where we sit and where we have to go if it gets busy. Utensils are all plastic or one time use, no more checking if the forks are clean! The plates and bowls are still the reusable ones which is what I prefer for getting food. They have a popcorn machine (also a hit or miss in taste and freshness). For food: The crab legs are served cold and their butter is super yellow (it's most likely butter flavored oil). Bbq Ribs are good, served in single ribs, nice bbq flavor. Chicken skewers are still tender and flavorful, will keep having these! Chicken wings (fresh) are soooo juicy and crispy! They have chicken tenders but I didn't try them. No crab Rangoon or sesame balls unfortunately. Baked mussels taste just the same, great creamy sauce on chewy mussels. Coconut shrimp is fried with sweet creamy mayo sauce, it doesn't have coconut shredding so I love it. Beef stirfry is actually great, it had peppers and mushrooms, but the beef is tender (sometimes not so hit or miss). Ice cream is self serve scooped, they have a sign that it's $2.50 if anyone plans to take ice cream to go.
