Background On Visit: Once I found out about the price of the dinner buffet, I was sold on the idea of patronizing the shop. How cheap/affordable, you say? Well let me tell you/show you. Prices: Lunch Price (Monday - Friday: 1030am-3pm) = $13.99 Dinner Price (Monday - Friday: 3pm -9pm) =$18.99 Saturday and Sunday (all day) = $20.99 Location/Parking: Located in a strip mall on the SE corner of Ramona and Maine Ave.. Parking can be found in the shared lot up front. Ambiance/Decor: Okay ambiance with modern furnishings. Service: Service was okay. Staffers were able to clear our table of used plates through out our stay. Food Offering/Quality: Overall, the food quality and food offerings was just okay. Don't expect much with the price. The crab/crab legs was okay

I don't frequent buffet style restaurants. But I am glad I gave golden panda buffet a try. We were greeted right away at the front. We were asked if we were going to be consuming soft drinks or water. At first I thought it was a little strange to ask since at other buffets drinks are typically included with the buffet price. But at this place they are not. They will give you a different colored cup depending on what you will be drinking. Price was $20.99 on a Saturday for dinner. They have a pretty nice spread. We enjoyed most of what we ate. The dessert spread was a little disappointing. But otherwise very good.

New reasonable price for Lunch & Dinner. Especially weekends & To Go Meals;)

Mu eldest son treated us here after our doctors appointment. Was greeted, informed us can choose we're to sit since early since they just open. Everything was so yummy and delicious. My favorite was their rice noodles we as Filipino call it Pansit cooked perfectly not greasy. BBQ Pork. Orange Chicken, Fried chicken, all the seafood cooked or fresh was all good. All the California rolls, fresh fruits, selections of soups and salads was all fresh. And selections of desserts and ice-cream all so yummy. WOW! All delicious. Restaurants always kept clean and organized.

I got a fork from the stand and they smelled bad and one had food stuck in it.

My friends suggested to have dinner at Golden Panda Buffet. It was my first time there and my friends were very helpful. You paid upfront before you are seated. The place was spacious and clean. The staff were welcoming and friendly. They were walking around to take empty plates or to clean tables. There were wide selection of food. The buffet included; pizza, fried chicken, beef and broccoli, many fresh sushi rolls, Crab legs, sautéed shrimp, honey walnut shrimps, butterfly shrimp, baked salmon, rice, chow mein, salads, fruits, desserts, ice cream and more. The food was very fresh. The staff who were working behind the open buffet were bringing more fresh and hot food very frequently. The place was packed on Friday night. The staff were really amazing, they cleaned tables very frequently. At the end, one of the staff brought us fortune cookies and asked us if we wanted to take a picture together, so she can take it. We did! She was really sweet. I am glad I went to Golden Panda Buffet because it was such a fun night and a new experience too.

So! I visited here on May 4th, 2025, and it honestly wasn't that bad! This was a first time visit! So I went to read some of the reviews, some of them are negative and some are positive. I would like to call out some of the reviews: - Staff were friendly and helpful! They constantly went around to see if anyone had finished food, and they were on it! Shout out to the staff team on 5/4/2025 sunday morning! - Some Food was hot and fresh (except the fried rice and chow mein)! Almost burned myself getting a sesame ball! The place itself was amazing! The sound was netural, I loved how they had like action lights as the lightning, overrall it was a perfect place for me at least. Pricing is okay! On weekends it's 20.99 per person, however I am unsure for the weekdays. Please check their website!! Desserts were amazing! I loved it! (I even got seconds) Overrall, this buffet is amazing and some of the 1 star reviews are false! Don't believe them.

02/15/2024 What's left of the assorted sushi with wasabi. The wasabi was strong

02/15/2024 Came by the day after Valentines Day there wasn't a lot of people about 30% full. The week day price was $16.99 and $15.29 for seniors. There were several items missing from the weekend menu. 3 different kinds of shrimp and the beef ribs. Still a good value. You can easily spend $12-13 dollars for a burger combo at Wendy's or Jack in the Box. I really love the Hot & Sour soup, Baked Mussels, the Fried Chicken is pretty good too. On a humorous side note I saw 4 one star reviews with the same picture of a roach on the handle of the food tongs hahahaha cmon roaches gotta eat too! Just kidding. Restaurant was clean with no critters walking on the floor.

Golden Panda Buffet Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Golden Panda Buffet

Is it worth going an hour before it closes?

I went and got food To Go an hour before closing. I think they stop cooking by then, so most of the food trays were not being re-filled.

Do they have the whole menu? Other buffets that I've been to, for the re-opening after covid do not have a complete menu and I dislike that.

Full menu just like before covid

Do they serve snow crab leg now?

    Nope

Did this place close down? Obviously I know it stopped buffet operations since covid happened, but after that they still did take outs at least. Now it's closed. Is it permanent :(

    It's open

Do they only serve cold crab legs?

    Yes

    Do they do catering services?

    They do.

Does anyone know what the price is for lunch on a Thursday?

Weekdays lunch is $7.99 per Adult

    What time does lunch ends?

Monday to Friday lunch is from 1030 am to 3:30 pm

With the cost of groceries, gas, and dining out continuing to climb, people are looking for a place where they can get a good meal without spending a fortune. This place fits the bill. If you come before 4:00 p.m. on a weekday, lunch is around $15. That's about what you'd spend on a burger, fries, and a drink at some fast-food chains these days, except here you get an entire buffet with plenty of choices. The salad bar is well stocked and includes fresh fruit. They also have sushi rolls and nigiri. Is it sushi restaurant quality? No. But considering that one specialty roll at a sushi restaurant can cost $12-$16 by itself, it's a nice bonus. My favorite item is fried chicken. It's crispy, flavorful, and consistently juicy. I would gladly pay the lunch price just for the chicken. They also serve a very good pot roast, meaty pork ribs, and on Fridays they have a surprisingly good rib roast. Those are just a few of the highlights because there are plenty of other dishes to choose from. As for the staff, most of the employees appear to be young and may be working their first job. The cooks aren't trying to be gourmet chefs, they focus on preparing the buffet items well, and overall, they do a good job keeping the food coming despite how busy the restaurant gets. If you're looking for a fine dining experience prepared by professionally trained chefs, this probably isn't the place for you. But if your goal is to enjoy a wide variety of good food at a price that's hard to beat in today's economy, this buffet is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared for a crowd, that's usually a sign they're doing something right.

We did have to wait in line before getting seated. The wait wasn't too long for our party of 7 as it took maybe 15 min or so. The food was okay. It's what you would expect from an AYCE buffet like this. It's maybe on par with the likes of Golden Corral or Hometown Buffet (from back in the day). The highlight things to eat may be the made-to-order Mongolian BBQ where you load up your bowl with veggies, protein (chicken, pork, shrimp, beef, etc), noodles, and seasonings. Hand it over to the staff cook and they hand you a pager to notify you when done. The other food highlight may be the Japanese sushi area. While not the highest quality of ingredients, it was still decent for the price of the buffet and the fact that there's a staff member making the sushi rolls consistently rather than just leaving a bunch out in a tray to get old and dry. Definitely might be an even better deal as a lunch AYCE option. But for dinner it's still nice to go to.

You can park in the additional parking spots all around Shopper Ln. I have been a customer for many years and tried many delicious dishes. They serve a traditional Mexican open buffet at certain times. The waiting line is expected, but don't feel discouraged because it moves fast. The decor is vibrant enriched with colorful murals. The staff are very welcoming and genuinely warm. The restaurant has cozy and inviting ambience. Outdoor and indoor seating are available. I placed an online order for pickup. It was fast and convenient since I had friends coming for dinner. I ordered the following: - Burrito Panchon 5/5 Stuffed with carnita, beans and rice, served with cream, beans and guacamole. Huge portion! You can choose your protein. - Fajitas Cielo Mar Y Tierra 5/5 Marinated beef, shrimp, chicken. It served with sauteed bell peppers tomatoes and onions, rice, guacamole, beans and pico de gallo. It was smoky, savory and flavorful. - Vegetarian Enchiladas 5/5 Corn tortillas stuffed with bell pepper, corn, onion, carrot, cilantro, squash, and topped with a combination of cream and jack cheese. I got a bag full of different types of salsa with my order and another bag with tortilla chips. The food portions were very generous. Every dish reflected authenticity and deliciousness. This time, we tried this place again and it's better! The food is still similar to all other buffets, but I think I prefer this place's chicken wings, baked mussels, bbq ribs, and beef stir fry. It is similar price range as other buffets ($20) and drinks are paid separate as usual. Refillable fountain drinks if you prefer but having water works too. The sushi is a hit or miss, I had great sushi rolls but other days it might have been sitting for too long. They refill their trays as food is getting less and I like that there's someone around to ask when they will bring a fresh batch. The tables are numbered so it's easy to know where we sit and where we have to go if it gets busy. Utensils are all plastic or one time use, no more checking if the forks are clean! The plates and bowls are still the reusable ones which is what I prefer for getting food. They have a popcorn machine (also a hit or miss in taste and freshness). For food: The crab legs are served cold and their butter is super yellow (it's most likely butter flavored oil). Bbq Ribs are good, served in single ribs, nice bbq flavor. Chicken skewers are still tender and flavorful, will keep having these! Chicken wings (fresh) are soooo juicy and crispy! They have chicken tenders but I didn't try them. No crab Rangoon or sesame balls unfortunately. Baked mussels taste just the same, great creamy sauce on chewy mussels. Coconut shrimp is fried with sweet creamy mayo sauce, it doesn't have coconut shredding so I love it. Beef stirfry is actually great, it had peppers and mushrooms, but the beef is tender (sometimes not so hit or miss). Ice cream is self serve scooped, they have a sign that it's $2.50 if anyone plans to take ice cream to go. Restrooms are clean when we went, I know during peak hours the restrooms can be a bit gross... Overall I'm glad we came back! Might come back more and hope the experience is good again!
