I don't usually write reviews but I had such an awesome time I thought it deserved to be shared. Let me start off by saying I'm nervous around needles and was very anxious when I first walked in. I met with the Tattoo Artist Chop and he instantly put my worries to rest! He was able to fit me into his schedule within 2 days and he busted out 3 beautiful tattoos in just a little over 2 hours! We decided to do them all at once so I could get them done and over with and I wouldn't have to worry about multiple appointments! The day of my appointment I arrived about 30 minutes early because I had the jitters and couldn't sit still at home when I got there Chop was thoroughly sanitizing his whole station and chatted with me about my nerves, we decided to start with my foot because I figured it would be the most painful and I was the most worried about it. We got the design on and he free handed over half of it, he really listened to what I wanted and executed it perfectly! When he started the actual tattooing he talked me through it and asked if I was doing alright periodically! He kept up a conversation with me to help keep my mind off of the pain and it helped make the time go by faster. I highly recommend getting tattooed my Chop, his kindness and attention to detail has made me a very happy customer and I will gladly go back for any other tattoos that I decide to get in the future!! read more

I got my Daith piercing done a couple of weeks ago to try and help me with my migraines. I have gotten two to three migraines a week since I was in middle school. Since getting the Daith piercing I have had one small headache that went away within ten minutes. I highly recommend this piercing to any who suffer migraines! My middle son (18) also suffers from migraines, not to my extent, he decided to get the piercing done as well and has not had a migraine since getting the piercing as well. The staff was knowledgeable and kind through the whole process. The business is very clean and sanitary. Once my piercings heal I will be going back to get different jewelry (hearts) put in as the piercing is hard to see and to change the jewelry on my own. This is the only place I will go, or take loved ones, to get piercings done. I can't describe how warm a welcome we had. I have been going to golden rule for YEARS. I have been pierced here over 15 times, and have never left disappointed. I've never had any issues with piercings that they haven't been able to fix. Anytime I have an issue with a piercing and I call them they always point me in the right direction and help me. Everyone is professional and so kind. Asia (I'm sorry if I misspelled it) is absolutely amazing. Always welcoming and is an amazing person to see when we first come in. Jen is my absolute favorite piercer, she always answers any questions with ease, so helpful and caring. Aaron is an awesome piercer (he did my girlfriends, my best friends, and my piercings today and we couldn't of asked for better service) I've only had a couple from him but still no doubt. The environment is always so welcoming, calming, fun, goofy, professional, and just overall spectacular. I couldn't ask for a better place. **FOR ALL THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS** I have been a loyal customer of the Golden Rule since it was in old town silverdale like,10 years ago. ** At a time there were some questionable artists who made the atmostphere uncomfortable and were unprofessional as soon as the manager would leave, but they have since "moved on to other venues" (got shit canned) and the Golden Rule has become my home away from home once again.** One of their newer employees, Chop is a phenominal artist, very hospitable with great bed side manners (he's a southern gentleman). I had an appointment with Bob, paid my deposit. When I showed up, even though my appointment form had what I wanted there was no artwork prepped, waited in the shop for 4 hours while he drew it out, no tattoo. Made another appointment to actually get it done and then I was unable to make it, let him know in advance and he told me we would fit it in the next week. Over a month of me texting asking when he is available then he asked when I want it done and then stops responding. 6 weeks later I still do not have a tattoo and am out of my deposit because he drew it out. I have decided to go elsewhere and I recommend you do the same. The place is super clean with a friendly staff though. read more

Golden rule is where I have been going for the past 12 years to get my piercing and tattoos. The artists do amazing artwork and always go above and beyond for their clients. I have had every piercing done here by Aaron himself or someone just as experienced as him. Aaron is the owner and he has made me feel like family there. All the people that work their take great care of everyone that walks through the door. I have never seen a cleaner and safer set up for piercing plus there aftercare is phenomenal. On7/19/17 I went to Golden Rule and talked with Aaron about getting my nipples pierced. He was very knowledgeable and patient, I was nervous. He gave great information. The price was very good. We did it! He was great! Lots of aftercare info, he answered all my questions. It is one week later....I am very happy with my piercings, they are healing well...no problems. The shop is super clean, the staff is great and I will recommend them highly. I will see Aaron for any other piercings I may get in the future. read more

Got my nose pierced 2 weeks ago & they were great. The next week my stud had fallen out and wouldn't go back in and Jen was super nice and helped me out & gave me a lot of tips. I had to go in today because I was blowing my nose & the stud fell out again and I still couldn't get it back in. They're so nice & will help you with whatever you need. Definitely recommend going here to get anything pierced because their really expierenced and they know what their doing & get it done quick with good quality. read more

After visiting what felt like every tattoo shop in kitsap county we ended up at Golden Rule, they were the only place that would even take a minute to talk to my husband and I. We both wanted bigger pieces and needed an artist who was willing to listen and run with our ideas. I love this place. Great artists with a wide range of tattoo styles to chose from. They are very clean and have a phenomenal sterilization process. My advice is to always check out a shops sterilization process and room before getting tattooed or pierced there. This shop passes with flying colors!!!! read more

They simply do not care about preventing the spread of covid19 or black lives. Wearing a mask is mandated by law in Washington state. They decided to put out a statement and apparel against the use of face coverings, which included language mocking BLM. read more
