Frito burger with Chili and cheese
Kelli A.

Stopped by for dinner this evening and it was sooooo go! Hubby had a cheeseburger and fries. I had the frito burger and onion rings. No preformed frozen patties here. Handmade burgers and delicious onion rings for a big win! Great service as well.

Doesn't look like much when you walk in but this place has great service and great food! I'm giving them 5 stars because the food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. That's all I wanted.

Welcome Hungry Travelers! The Golden Saddle boasts an eclectic sampling of Oklahoma BBQ and Mediterranean cuisine. Ample food is included for your whole party with mounds of golden onion rings or kabobs on a bed of rice. The options will please any palate. Looking for a healthier option, vegetables, raw or sautéed, are a simple substitute with the main course. Family friendly atmosphere and pleasant wait staff are sure to greet you on this stop along your journey.

Mushroom and Swiss burger, Bacon Cheese Fries! Excellent!
Ron R.

The first time we came here, the place was so crowded we could barely find a place to sit. But, the food made it worth the effort. That was five years ago. We're in town for a bird show and dropped in for lunch. I ordered a mushroom swiss burger, and was pleased to find out that they use Real Swiss cheese. Hot, fresh, fantastic! The cheese fries for my appetizer was enormous and the bacon on them was so good! My wife had a curry baked chicken and it was great! Moist, deliciously spiced with a hint of chili powder, I may order it next time we come. The service from the one and only server on the floor was phenomenal. She kept her cool despite the fact that the restaurant just kept filling up. Great work! Great marks all the way around.

Ask for the Mediterranean menu!! (They don't hand it out automatically with their diner menu) This is now my favorite go-to spot and it's because of their Mediterranean food. So good! And it's easily enough for 2 people because you get hummus, pita bread, falafels, rice, etc with the entrees. Love this place, truly a hidden gem in Tulsa.

Could use more beef in the dish, but the flavoring was perfection. Our service was a little lax to be a fine dining restaurant. Chris (bartender) was absent a bit and then when we asked for things, he'd forget. We also didn't have table settings when we were sat and in our party of 4, only received 3 menus. My fiancée really enjoy the chocolate ganache dessert. I've heard they have decent specials/happy hour menus but cannot speak from experience since we went on a Friday night. Cons. Our server started the evening stating the restaurant's goal is to serve the best steak we've ever had. Sadly, this goal was not met. The charcuterie was a basic spread. Cheese squares looked like they came out of a package, a small sliver of goat cheese, maybe a quarter of an apple. The biggest disappointment was the steak. I ordered the classic with mashed potatoes and green beans. It had little to no seasoning. The steak was tough. My fiancé ordered the umami ribeye and it was not properly rendered. He did enjoy the sides and the umami sauce but, for a steakhouse, the steak was not well cooked.

Upon arriving at my table, I was offered still and sparkling water to drink and my server was very attentive to my needs and kept both of my water glasses full. I ordered the chicken piccata. The chicken picatta came with a generous helping of three pieces of chicken served with a buttery pan sauce and capers alongside whipped potatoes. The chicken was excellently cooked and was tender and moist with ever-so-slightly crisped edges. The sauce was tangy and the capers added a bite that worked perfectly with it on a way that really made the chicken piccata shine as a dish. The whipped potatoes did not have a lot of flavor on their own, but meshed well with the pan sauce. At the conclusion of the meal, the check came with an Andes mint. I love those, and while it is a small gesture, it made me smile and improved my evening just that little bit more. This was a great experience with great food! 4.5/5

Happened to be our 28th wedding anniversary, and didn't have reservations, but were able to be seated immediately at the bar, with Brook(e)? as our bartender. First, the outdoor alley entrance is fun/non-assuming. Once in, the decor is moody and perfectly dark/speak-easy-ish, much like a private underground club. Very impressive. We had cocktails/wine and ordered the Wedge Salad and the Ceaser Salad. Both were amazing, but my husband stated that the Ceaser was the best he had ever had. My Wedge Salad had bountiful amounts of flavorful blue cheese and amazing bacon chunks that made this the best salad I had ever had. We then ordered the petite filet (Medium) and Brussel sprouts and put a chocolate cake on order "to go". Highly recommend all of the above. The chocolate cake is "go big or go home" for sure. It hardly fit in two combined to go boxes. It was chocolatey, not overly dense, and the frosting complimented it perfectly! We cannot give enough high praise to Brook for the recommendations and for just making it a super fun vibe. I would gladly book a flight from San Diego just to go to dinner again at this place! The Picanha sandwich is probably one of the best sandwiches we've ever had! It comes with steak fries, which were also very tasty! It's perfect to share because the portions are plentiful and it's very filling. We also ordered one of the chicken pastels to share. Everything was wonderful! For my starter I ordered "Our Nice Little Salad" this beauty was crisp, fresh, and had tomatoes that popped in your mouth and bursted with flavor. The in-house croutons had that perfect buttery crunch, spiced pecans added a unique boldness and the homemade ranch was thick and creamy. I will say I had to ask three times for ranch. I just kept waiting. For our main courses we had the bone-in pork chop. Thick, juicy, and properly rested paired with red mashed potatoes.... Which were very good. The seasonal corn - was gone so quick! It was just so delicious. Ate that right up!! The shrimp scampi leaned heavily into garlic and butter in the best possible way. Shrimp were big, tender and juicy. Unfortunately my rotisserie chicken.... was very dry. I kept choking because of that. I was unable to eat it, that was disappointing. As far as atmosphere... very warm lighting, intimate feels, candle lit, steady energy, attentive staff. The dining room hums with laughter and happy customers... but without overtaking the conversation at our table. The volume was comfortable considering it was a full house.

They definitely have their own twist on things. The sweet potatoes were good but a little heavy on the nutmeg. They tasted like a mix of apple and pumpkin pie. The mac and cheese was really creamy. I really liked the horseradish coleslaw. I'm not a big fan of collard greens but I still tried them and actually thought they were pretty good. For our mains, two of us had the brisket and one had ribs. Both were super good. There were 4 different sauces. I recommend trying them all. I wanted to try the sausage but they were sold out. I guess you need to get there earlier than an hour before they closed. We finished with a couple desserts. The banana pudding was probably the best I've had. Their seasonal cobbler was blueberry and very tasty! I was hoping for peach. Maybe next time. Yes there will definitely be a next time. It was a lot of food so we had plenty left over that ate for lunch the next day. The atmosphere is super friendly and really clean. Like most barbecue places I've been to there is no table service. You order and pay at the counter. Then depending on how busy they are they will bring your food to your table or have you pick up at the counter. For me the cherry on top is their pay it forward meal. For $15 you can buy a meal for someone in need. They hand you a receipt that you pin to a board. Then when someone needs a meal they can go in and grab one off the board. They offer them their lunch special. While I was there I saw a very grateful individual come in and get a meal. The staff were super nice and treated them just like any other customer. Great food! Great service! Great value! Do yourself a favor and try this place!
