I was introduced to The Ridge Grill for the first time tonight and WOW what a MAGNIFICENT first impression. I have to eat gluten free and that didn't really make a difference here. There are plenty of choices. We started with the artichoke dip with fresh veggies for GF. It was pretty tasty. I ordered the filet and mashed potatoes for my meal. The potatoes were the star of the show! They are loooaded with bacon and cheese and make you want to go back for more. (You can't because you're so full from the large helping you just ate.) I'll probably order seafood next time. So exciting that there are actual GF choices! We enjoyed the food but LOVED the staff. The hostess that took our reservation talked to me quite a while about gluten-free and wrote my allergies with our reservation. Our waiter was one of the best waiters we've ever had. If you get a chance sit in Michael's section. He will give you great service and also entertain you for the evening. They ensured we had a great evening and who doesn't want that? The ambiance is great, but the food often disapoints! My husband and I have eaten here several times on date nights, with friends, etc. Sometimes the service is great; sometimes very poor. We are big tippers and always hope for the best... we rarely complain, but we're beginning to understand we should when food and service are both horrible. In fairness, I should say my meal was the worst; my husband said his was edible. Mine was beef stroganoff with extremely poor quality beef that was tough, and the sauce over the noodles was horrible! My husband tried a bite and agreed. I have always enjoyed that meal elsewhere, but it was literally so bad after a couple of bites, I couldn't eat any more. You really couldn't tell I had eaten any of it, and the waiter had nothing to say or offer! We paid our check and gave the waiter a 20% tip and left. I consider myself not very sociable, but the environment of The Ridge Grill changed this side at me. Thanks to the regular customers of the restaurant, I became a different individual, more outgoing. I was introduced to the owner (Mir) by one of the regular customers of the restaurant and learned that the restaurant has been opened for about 14 years. The customers sitting at the bar are regular locals who often frequent the business. Most know each other and of course, the owner knows all of them. The server at the bar (Sam) has been there from the very beginning of the restaurant. Back to the food. I've been drinking old fashioned quite often lately. I like this drink at The Ridge Grill very much thanks to having more orange flavor, but it is still a very strong drink. I admit the ribeye with mushrooms and Gorgonzola is not the best ribeye in town, but it is good enough to recommend. I would like to see it cooked a little more rare. Giving its semi thick cut, it's slightly over cooked. The mashed potatoes and vegetables are great, but the bread is not my favorite. For me The Ridge Grill is a local favorite for one reason; it's because of the people that go there, one of the friendliest group of people I've met. read more

Today was my wife's birthday and we decided to try The Ridge Grill for her celebratory dinner. We made a reservation through Open Table and arrived a little early. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated immediately. A young man brought water to the table and indicated our server would be by shortly. In a few minutes, our server Cody arrived and mentioned the specials. We explained it was our first visit. He welcomed us and inquired if someone was having a birthday. The restaurant provided an appetizer of Volcano Shrimp. The shrimp was butterflied and fried with a spicy honey citrus sauce. Excellent taste. The owner, Mir stopped by the table to welcome us and introduced himself with having a brief conversation. We decided to have the surf and turf special. (See picture for deliciousness!) The steak was prepared to how we ordered and the lobster was superb! The vegetable medley was fresh and well seasoned. The loaded smashed potatoes were on point. We enjoyed a flaming crème brûlée cheesecake for dessert. It was literally on fire when served. The secret fire ingredient is Barcardi 151 Rum. Absolutely delightful. Most of all my wife was very happy! The service was second to none and the food was better than expected. A late 3:30 dinner reservation in a quiiiiet restaurant was actually pretty nice. The sweet Melissa served us, and she was delightful! It wasn't a long wait for our meals, hence, the time of day;). The artichoke dip with its toasted dipping bread was absolutely delicious, and the volcano shrimp was just as tasty. For the main dishes, the sea bass was OK...I guess if your on a health kick, this is perfect for you:)). My husband enjoyed his ribeye, and the kids pizza was huge! I was happy to partake! Ridge Grill is a popular restaurant in the Tulsa area. We went there for a business dinner and spent generously. Service was pretty attentive but I found them to be constantly trying to upsell. As an experienced business patron I found that a little unnecessary. Almost everyone ordered steaks and they were all well cooked and pretty tasty. A good selection of wines were offered. It's a little loud so harder to hear each other but otherwise the ambiance was nice and lively. They also offered awesome live music in the background with a great guitarist and an awesome singer. My server was great, immediately greeted me, got my beverage order and brought me warm Rosemary Bread and Olive Tapenade - it was fabulous. The atmosphere comfortable, background music at a good level where you could enjoy it but didn't interfere with conversation. The seating was comfortable and the tables were well spaced so you didn't feel crowded. There was also an outdoor patio that looked very comfortable too. Lots of good choices on the menu. I started with their Garden Salad, the organic Iettuce mix was fresh, the tomatoes so sweet, cucumbers and carrots and the seasoned bread crumbs was a nice touch. I was in the mood for pasta so I chose the Chicken Siciliano; mushrooms, garlic and herbs in a white wine lemon & butter sauce was absolutely perfection. I wish I wasn't traveling so I could have taken home the left overs! No room for dessert this time. And where do these people get off charging $60 for steak that isn't even good? My goodness, we added some meat to a salad and they charged us $37 extra!!! I'm writing this from the parking lot. We just spent $55 and feel like we were robbed. The "pizza" was a glorified tortilla, small for the price and burnt. I truly have had better $3 frozen pizzas. The volcano shrimp was crispy, but the flavor was off. The waffles and chicken dish was bland, and the chicken seemed to come from a frozen bag. Our first visit to The Ridge Grill was OUTSTANDING. We sat outside. The live music was great. Our waitress was perfect. The food was delicious. I had the club sandwich and red slaw. The sandwich was fresh and perfectly balanced and the slaw was a nice side and had a spicy kick. My husband had the Moroccan Chicken it was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. For our appetizer we had the artichoke dip. It was very creamy and tasty served with toasted baguettes. Honestly the best artichoke dip we have had anywhere. It was worth the 40 minutes drive for us.
