About three years ago, I discovered this place while driving back from work, and since then it has become one of my favorite restaurants. I liked it so much that I started going once or twice a week. I went so often that the waitresses already knew my order; many times I didn't even have to ask because they already knew exactly what I wanted. At first, I always ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, but one day I decided to try something different and I fell in love with the Pineapple Curry. Since then, it has become another one of my favorite dishes. Everything about this restaurant is amazing: the food, the desserts, and the service. The Sticky Mango is delicious, and every dish I've tried has been excellent. On top of that, the staff is always friendly, attentive, and makes you feel very welcome. I've never been to Thailand, but the authenticity of the food can be felt in every bite. You can tell there is care, tradition, and dedication in every recipe. It is truly impressive cuisine. We came here from Fresno for a couple of days. Let me just say, I am beyond impressed. Their food is delicious!!! Our waitress was very courteous and friendly. The restrooms were also kept up and clean. Don't let the area the restaurant is located in stop you or you will miss out. We ordered Tomyum chicken soup, which was delicious, chicken basil fried rice, pad ka prow with chicken, also delicious. Our son, who is on the autism spectrum doesn't do well with other foods but he loves Japanese fried rice. She accommodated his taste and made fried rice to his liking and our son loved it. Thank you to Yelp for another amazing find!! We took our kids to Great Wolf Lodge and of course the food inside there is expensive and not too good!! A cute but small restaurant but luckily we came at a good time and they were able to seat our party if 10 immediately. Super authentic food, flavorful and tasty. Tom Yum soup is a must try, their corn cakes were so amazing!!! We also ordered red curry, pad Thai, pad see ew, fried rice, Thai omelette with ground pork, chicken wings, and their fried tofu. EVERYTHING was good. My favorite part of the whole entire dinner was dessert! They had these churros with a coconut Pandan dipping sauce and OMG I am still dreaming about it. It's like a Pandan pudding, and not only did I dip all my churros in it, I used the left over Pandan dipping sauce for my mango with sticky rice. I HIGHLY recommend you trying it!!!! Many years ago, a Thai-Chinese couple moved into the town where I lived and they opened a Thai take out restaurant. They had many interesting items on the menu, but I really liked the Pad Prik khing , which is what I ordered tonight through DoorDash. Back then, they made the food what I call "melt-your-ears" spicy. I ordered this one "Hot", which seemed to be the 4th most spicy. I also ordered a Thai iced coffee because it's been a while since I've had more than DeeDee's coffee packets. I also ordered steamed rice. Prik Khing is a dish that I expect to be simple and delicious. I ordered vegetarian because I need more protein and less meat. This one was very colorful. It wasn't spicy, for me, anyway. It had a good taste and I think I'll eat it with beef next time, and ask for something more spicy. Perhaps, I'll go into the restaurant. The Sticky RIce was not easy to eat and I ended up throwing out most of it. It was fairly expensive for the little, hard scoop. The iced coffee was worth it and made me smile. I need to go to the restaurant and try the Tom Yum soup and more. There are very few real Thai restaurants in the area, so this one is useful and the food is good. read more

Gone to this place several times and they always mess something up. My last straw: They forgot the protein in all of my entrees (takeout order) which I discovered way later when I got home. I called them about it and they didn't apologize. I asked if I can come back and pickup correct food.They just said they'll call me back. 20 mins pass by and no call. I called THEM back and the same woman answered and it was clear she'd had no intention of ever giving me the correct food or calling me back. I drove all the way back there once they agreed, and they didn't give at least refund me something, comp me some food, or even apologize. Also, I once got a takeout order and multiple teas. They cut the drink carriers in half to save themselves money so the carrier completely bent and all the drinks fell out. Will not go here again! Spice levels are also VERY inconsistent. read more

The papaya salad was way too sweet. The BBQ chicken was dry it tasted like it had just been reheated in the oven. I'm not sure if it was just a bad day or because I ordered pretty late (around 7 p.m.). I order from this place often, especially the Yum Khor Moo Yang, which is usually my favorite. It does taste good, but the portion size is disappointing about 70% of it is cabbage and vegetables. (And i understand that vegetables is part of this menu but please PLEASE add more pork. yall literally tryna make it look like there's a lot but it's JUST veggies smh). For $17, it's NOT WORTH IT at all, especially after delivery fees and taxes. They really need to increase the portions for some of their menu items. The tart, spicy, herbaceous flavor with the crispy pork belly was AMAZING! Then we had crab fried rice that was filled with sweet crab and so FIRE! Last we had BBQ chicken that wa marinated snd grilled to perfection. Everything came with their own delicious sauces. Check this spot out if you haven't. Service was great too! My wife and I are avid fans of Thai food and have traveled to Thailand several times, voraciously eating the local cuisine across the spectrum from night markets and street food up to fine dining. We also live in LA and frequent the Thai town area to indulge, so we felt it would be unlikely to find better Thai elsewhere in the state. Tonight we happened to be in Manteca to deal with some business, and not having any clue what might be good in the area, we saw Golden Spoon on Yelp and felt leery about the high Yelp rating, but nothing else in the area looked promising, so we gave it a go. We are flabbergasted by how good and authentic our meal was. The flavors were bold, complex, and authentically Thai. Absolute mastery of all the details; the fried exterior of the century egg, excellent proportioning and consistency of all the chopped elements in the rice and noodle dishes like the iron plate noodle, hot crispy shrimp rolls in freshly deep-fried in clean oil, expertly marinated and grilled tender beef nam tod, etc. It was better than our local favorites in Hollywood Thai town. We couldn't have imagined finding a gem like this out here. I was trying to save stomach for the majorly legit-smelling taco stand outside the Mexican market next door, but couldn't stop myself from eating more. I think we got there at a perfect time because as we were leaving there was a line waiting to be seated. We looked over the menu and everything looked good so we ordered several dishes just for the two of us lol. I must say, everything was so good and flavorful. I love everything we ordered. The portions were great for the price. The pineapple rice was so good. It had a sweet yet salty flavor that balance so well. The pork and veggies were so flavorful and tender. Amazing food with authentic favors! Great ambiance too! My family and I came here after spending a day at the great wolf lodge. I appreciated that there was a good cultural eating spot in the manteca area. We ordered our food to go because it was getting late but when we actually got to enjoy our order it was amazing! The curry has a really nice round flavor and our noodle dis was devoured by the kids lol. One of the things that I thought was a nice touch was that they did a great job of turning a less than awesome strip mall spot into a visual treat. There were nice cultural touches and layed out as well as it could be from an ergonomic perspective. This place gets really busy and packed and it's well deserved because all of the food is so delicious!! Have not tried anything I haven't liked from here. All friendly service every time. My favorite is the fried fish and crack sauce!! Sometimes a few pieces taste kinda really gamey and off, but I will usually not eat those pieces. We are happy that this restaurant survived since its opening last year! This is one of our favorite restaurants when we come to Manteca. This time some of the things we ordered were: papaya salad, yellow curry with tofu, crab fried rice, sautéed veggies, duck. Second time coming in here. My family used to own a Thai restaurant, so I grew up with Thai food. The ambiance is cozy and unique. Service is always good. The only thing is the food. It's not horrible but not up to par with other Thai restaurants. First time I came in I had the Thai rice noodle soup. Similar to Cambodian noodle soup, the soup should've been a star. The broth is what makes it different from Vietnamese Pho. It was extremely bland, plus the ground pork was all mushed up together. Today, I had their special, pigs ear with fish sauce and steamed rice during a busy lunch rush. Portion was small for a $15 plate of pigs ear that I could've gotten more for $7 at a local Asian store. I know it was braised and it probably took awhile, but It just felts sticky and placed in a microwave. All in all, I would come back and try other dishes and give it another try.
