They used to fill the plates up, now half empty.

This was always the go-to spot. Now their prices have about doubled. The plate size is also much smaller and not even filled with the veggie/rice (cheap ingredients). I appreciate they still have a sauce bar.

Saw the sign while driving back to the city and liked the name, so I stopped in for some quick chicken and rice. The place has a decent sized parking lot with a steady flow of customers going in and out for takeout, which is a very good sign that the food may be fresh and cooked to order. There was lots of seating inside, a sauce bar for your orders and everything looked clean. The staff were friendly and very quick, and you can see them cook the proteins fresh in the back. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with extra chicken with a few sides. I liked the portion sizes and how fast the food came out. Unfortunately, the batch of chicken I received was quite tough and dry. I tried to save it with some warm teriyaki sauce from the sauce station, but it didn't do much for it. The egg roll was just okay and resembled more of a fried spring roll, and the shrimp tempura had a thick, doughy texture I didn't care for. On the bright side of things, the cheese puffs were light and tasty and the prices were not so bad.

Excellent quality chicken bowls at an great price. Cooked to order so you get fresh chicken right off the grill. Restaurant is super clean and spacious. Service is fast and friendly. They have their own parking lot so you don't have to struggle with street parking. I'd come here again for sure.

I came here for lunch and order the 2 meat combo meat and chicken plate, the food was very plan and bland the tri tip was over cook and tuff to eat I'm sure others like it but not me, the chicken was ok I'll eat it but I'll probably won't be coming back to eat prices are ok but customer service was good. Overall the food was too bland and dry.

I ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl with extra chicken. The food smelled good but the building was heavily ran down both indoor and outdoor. Staff was stand off ish and almost shy. When my food came it was a bigger portion than I expected and the price was good. Sadly the chicken was way overcooked and it killed the entire meal. No amount of teriyaki sauce would fix it. Trust me I tried. It was edible, but there's so many better places out there. I won't be back.

Been going here for many years. Quality is still the same. Food excellent. Great staff. I always recommend the teriyaki chicken bowl.

They don't give you enough meat anymore. And they don't have brown rice but the veggies are good. Not sure why they are loosing their touch.

Firstly- garlic spicy edamame - felt it was rushed to make. The edamame was firm and not soft and there was no real spice or garlicky taste to it. For it being $9.95 whereas the steam edamame was $5.50, definitely not worth it. 2 stars Baby lobster roll- California topped with lobster pieces and eel sauce was pleasantly good. 5 stars Chicken teriyaki dinner - half the plate was filled with salad and an okay miso dressing. The chicken was just ordinary. I got tired of it quick and couldn't finish it. To me, it wasn't as good as my fav Japanese restaurant on how it's prepared, so for that I give it 3 stars. (Wouldn't order it again) My wife had the salmon teriyaki and she finished the rice but left a lot of salmon on her plate. No grade since I didn't try it. The positive is the staff was really friendly and attentive. 5 stars Now that I've tried Matsu Sushi, I don't think I would eat here if waiting to watch a movie at AMC. They have a great spot being next to the theater but sadly, not impressed with the food that I would want to spend over $100 to eat here (3 people)

We had a variety of rolls and they were all spectacular. I wanted to try out an order of their sushi nachos so we could all share it as an appetizer, and that was epic. Every one loved the dish. It reminded me of good fish ceviche but with a fantastic Asian twist. Definitely worth trying out. Hopefully next time we return they still have it on their menu. The fried calamari was delicious and so was the tempura. Everything was freshly made. The peanut chicken was nice and crispy and the peanut sauce was savory and sweet at the same time. The chicken curry was also very tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want good quality sushi along with other tasty dishes.

Service was a bit slow with one girl running the whole restaurant, getting orders and serving. Food was good. Baked mussels is yummy but it's not a whole mussel, it's more like imitation crab mixed with minced mussels. The ratio is less on the mussel portion. Th rolls are decent. I don't eat raw but my hubby does and states it's really good quality fish! So give it a try if you like quality fish!

But the sushi... man, what a treat. Biggest rolls I've ever seen for the same price as a tiny 4 piece roll anywhere in LA. Best prices. I was impressed with some of the experimental rolls like one that was deep fried and cut like an eggroll, came with some amazing dipping sauce. Sake was delicious and warming. I'll be back!

I don't mind waiting for good food, especially if a restaurant is busy, but they were not busy at all. Communication and basic customer service go a long way. When we arrived, we dropped off a cake and candle at the front counter and told them it was a surprise birthday cake and asked if they would be able to set up and bring it out once we finish our dinner. They said "yes". We do this all the time with other restaurants and have never had any issues. Normally, cake is brought out and candle that we provide is lit. Some restaurants even go as far as singing happy birthday. We finished our food and sat there for a while waiting for the server, Dolly, who was nowhere to be found. So we started stacking our plates to the side to get ready for the cake. When we finally saw her, we whispered to her that we were ready for the surprise cake. She went back into the kitchen and came out with the cake still in the box and candles still in the package and says out loud "here's your birthday cake" in front of the whole party. We asked her if they had a lighter and lit the candles ourselves. We sang Happy Birthday and enjoyed our cake next to our dirty dishes from our dinner that still have not been collected. A previous time eating here, my friend ordered takeout for her husband after we dined in. My friend lives in a different city. By the time she got home, she realized that 1 of 2 of what she ordered was missing. She called and told her she wasn't going to drive back but they were kind enough to comp her next meal. They said they can come back when she's back in town again to pick up a voucher. When she went to pick up the voucher, 2 other people were there picking up vouchers for missing orders too. Apparently, it's a common thing that happens. The food itself is decent and price is reasonable for what you're getting. However, the service is horrible from my handful of experiences here.
