YET ANOTHER UPDATE: After a huge, weeklong overhaul of our elevator performed by Golden State (which I believe included the door mechanism and control panel), multiple residents of our building continued to get stuck at a much more frequent rate than before. This also included a DoorDash driver. Buttons still keep leading you to the wrong, and the elevator keeps opening below the doors (it then proceeds to level after the doors open). Golden State's response after the fire department shut it down? Turn it back on and give us instructions on how to break out of the elevator ourselves if we get stuck on a floor. Yes, they literally told us to pry the doors open if we get stuck. And even after all this work, our landlord was not given a single invoice/maintenance record/job sheet after asking for one from the company repeatedly. read more

We were stuck in our elevator and they did NOTHING. Absurdly terrible customer service. My roommates and I were trapped in our apartment elevator, and were instructed to call the company line if there were any emergencies. When the line goes through we had to be transferred to another line where we were in hold for nearly 10 minutes. Finally someone picked up and told us that they would not be able to get someone to us for another HOUR. The man kept insisting on us trying to pry the elevator door open even though there is an explicit sign inside that says "do not force door open." And after our girl power could not force the door open, he literally told us that we should call the fire department instead of their company. Sincerely hope nobody continues to purchase elevators through this service. Our elevator continuously breaks down and when it does, the company clearly does not care to do anything about it. read more

Our property management company has been using Golden State Elevator for over 20 years for homeowner associations in the area and we believe that they're the best. Over the years, they've saved several properties a lot of money by disproving false findings of some of their competitors. Their response time is fast and we can always trust them. Absolutely the worst.i wish they had negative. My dad is old and wa stuck inside elevator for one hours he called several times.after half hour my mom calls and says my dad is still not home i go to the elevator i hear his voice and says i am here for one hour and NO ONE HERE YET.i call 911.they send paramedics and fire department. Ok by now i see a guy named JOEY outside building while paramedics car parks and i go to the pramedics and JOEY is coming with the door opens and i am inside elevator and JOEY SERVICE GUY.i am explaining to paramedics he keeps yelling paramedics is shocks beyond and i am as wellPARAMEDICS says go bring your dad from 5th floor to first while the JOEY is inside.the whole ride he is yelling profanities and i am recording on my cell phone.i take my old DAD downstairs paramedics are great and leave NOW FIRE TRUCKS are here and we all see this character JOEY keeps covering his golden state service logo and hiding all over building.I PLAY TE RECORDING FOR THEM.THEY ARE SHOCKED.i called th company talked to general manager he app olivier a lot and said will look into it. The guy Joey didn't realize that in 2 min I can find name of compay.He was running from something the min he saw badge of star cop on Paramedics started freaking out and Fire people were as well surprised.they said He is ; Hiding instead come show us elevator room. read more
