I told LaShonda what I needed and she was quick with some general questions to better understand my needs. She drove myself and my daughter to the unit while continuing with details. Very informative but also efficient. My 7 year old was with me and I appreciate LaShonda patience the entire time. We ended renting a 10x10 but I also asked for a bottom unit. Lashonda was quick to look up availability and found some potential move out units near my expected move in date. The entire transaction was approximately 45 minutes but it felt faster. This is the cleanest and most professionally run business I have came across to date. The staff was completely friendly and completely accessible for any help or questions you may have. The prices are a bit higher, but it is well worth the price for the security and cleanliness of the facility. I would highly recommend this place for storage use in the future for anyone in the area or anyone looking for clean and reliable storage. I tried the other place down the road. You know the big place public storage, and they just blew me off via the telephone and the doors for the lobby were locked every time I tried to visit. Considering how big they are they should be doing a lot better. We needed to find a location near us to move a family member and our mover recommended Golden Triangle. After a quick jaunt I was informed they didn't have the size we needed but recommend 2 smaller ones that equaled the same size and was cheaper. Additionally I was able to reserve, as we didn't know the exact move date, with the reservation fee credited towards the first month rental. We needed to find a storage unit near the UCSD campus to store some of our extra stuff and this was the best option that we saw on Yelp. We called ahead and they were able to have us come in the same day to show us the storage units and sign the rental agreement. The person who helped was amazing and very friendly. He answered all our questions and was patient. We got a great deal with the student discount and if you check in on Yelp, you get a free disc lock for the unit. The area was very clean and secure. The next day, we were able to start moving our items into the unit. The process was very smooth and we had no problems. I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars. I needed a place to temporarily store my stuff as I went between permanent places. Greg and Michael were great from the first day to the last. Their office was always a welcomed relief from the heat! I cannot say they will do this for you, but this happened to me: the day I was going to check out was the same day that my monthly auto-payment came out. The guy was like really sad that I had just paid for an entire month that I was not going to be using. I left the office to go to meet my stuff at my new home feeling a renewed sense of humanity--this guy showed genuine empathy. I had decided to give a great review, even when I thought I wasn't going to be getting any refund, because Greg truly felt bad. Lo and behold when I went back to check out of my place 1) they had already done the walk through of my unit and all I had to do was sign some ppwk; and 2) Greg was like, there's no way I can handle charging you the entire month when you're leaving today--I can't refund (some part of the bill I don't remember what he called it), but I can prorate the rent portion and you can expect a check in 2-3 weeks. He said: "it's the right thing to do." Huh? What? Ok! Wow! Knowing the right thing to do AND doing it will set you miles apart from your competitors in whatever you are doing (except maybe politics). An additional update, I am once again blown away by the exceptional customer service at this facility (and just in general). I had to perform another transaction at this site and Greg outdid himself again! He is the BEST in every way and it reflects in the way this site is operating. Every safety precaution from COVID safety measures to general site safety (ensuring nobody comes on the property who is not supposed to be there) is in place. It is very clean but I cannot get over how much he genuinely cares about the customers. At the time he was also training a new employee named Denise aka DARLING Denise is her new name in my book and the apple did not fall far from the tree (Greg her trainer) because she additional checked on me while I was doing a huge relocation of items and her and Greg again went above and beyond to help me.
