After a month in my new home, I've noticed a few things future clients should watch for. First, inspect all furniture to ensure it was reassembled correctly. The Ascension of my table was put together backwards. Second, check your closets--some items were haphazardly placed rather than organized. Finally, I highly recommend staying on-site during the entire packing process; leaving the premises makes it difficult to keep track of where your belongings are being stored. read more

Andy and his cos are so diligent and professional. We had two bedrooms worth of stuff in public storage and in our apartment. It took them only 3 hrs to load everything into their truck and 2 hrs to unload into our apartment. It's also SD to SJ move and it was next-day delivery. Everything was so efficient. Okay service, not great. Abe and another guy came on time, cordial but wouldn't say friendly. Moved at a reasonable pace, but wouldn't say they hustled either. Overall service was four stars but removing another star for two reasons: Watch your final calculations, he added double travel time on top of the regular time, which would have cost me an extra $60. He insisted I give him a review while he stood there. Edit: clarifying for response, the total move took 3.5hrs and drive was 25mins which is included in the 3.5 hrs. But he added 50mins (2x 25mins), so tried to charge me 4.5hrs for the move. I corrected his error as double time only should add 25 mins to the total time. He was basically trying to charge 3x driving time. read more

We're very happy with the service from start to finish. When we were comparing a few moving companies, Master Moving stood out right away. During the booking stage, they provided a full consultation, answered all my questions calmly and patiently, and even shared some valuable tips based on their experience. That gave me the confidence to go with them -- and I'm really glad I did. The whole move was extremely well organized. From the moment the crew arrived, it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing -- what to start with, what to finish with. I didn't have to stand over them or give directions; you could tell they were following some kind of internal checklist or system. As a result, the entire day was productive, and the move was completed even faster than I expected. Nothing was damaged or broken. Since I've been busy with work, I didn't have time to pack, so I really appreciated their full comprehensive service. The guys brought all the necessary packing materials, dollies, straps, tools -- everything. They helped me pack, and then loaded the truck in such a smart way that everything fit perfectly, like Tetris game. I honestly didn't think my whole house would fit into one truck, but they used every inch of space efficiently, which saved me from having to pay for a second truck. They also helped me disassemble and reassemble furniture -- something I simply didn't have the time or energy for. In today's world, it's tough to take a full break from work just to handle a move, especially the packing part. I'm very grateful they took that weight off my shoulders. By the end of the day, everything was already set up in our new home -- furniture assembled, placed in the right rooms, all according to my wife's preferences. Overall, the entire moving experience was smooth, professional, and stress-free. The team was polite, accommodating, and clearly cared about doing things right. Had a horrible experience with master moving. After confirming the booking the movers didn't show up whole day. When I called them after 1.5hr of scheduled time to know where are the movers, The lady Veronica received the call and said she will let me know when they will arrive. But unfortunately after that she never answered my call and didn't even bother to let us know that they were not coming. I had an appointment in the afternoon that is why I booked them for early morning moving service at 8am and because they didn't show up and didn't even let me know , they had to cancel the appointment and call other company movers in afternoon. I am So disgusted with their unprofessional attitude towards the customer. Please don't go for this kind of fake moving company! read more

I got a really great price for my move from SD, CA. to LV, NV. Master Movers pricing was considerably less than two other highly rec'd mover found here on Yelp. I was able to schedule my pick up 10 days in advance, and have my furniture delivered at my new home in Las Vegas on the same day. Moving from downtown SD 2 Encinitas and it honestly couldn't have gone better! The team showed up right on time, got straight 2 work, and handled everything with a lot of care. Great experience with Master Moving! They didn't have a ton of reviews yet, so I was a bit nervous, but their prices are the best and setting up the move over the phone was easy. On the day of they did not disappoint! We had a huge move, with a packed full storage unit and a destination with no parking, stairs, and two long hallways. They handled it like pros and I didn't have to do anything. I literally can't picture doing this move without them. He started by telling me he needed to pack the TV in boxes and would charge me extra. Which I replied to by telling him he can cover with a blanket and Saran Wrap, which he ended up doing. But not after arguing. I called my fiancé to come speak to them as I felt uncomfortable, my fiancé asked him about his attitude and comments, and he quickly retracted, saying he only gets paid $20 per hour. Why is this my business when I'm getting charged $85/hr? My fiancé then asked if he had any issues with the move that we could just cancel all together. Elmurod never replied, but they proceeded with the move. During the six hours they were there, Elmurod was constantly on his phone. They eventually called a third person to help them move. However, upon arriving at our new house, Elmurod said he couldn't move our couch upstairs, it had the same layout as our previous home. We asked Elmurod and the extra mover to try and move the couch, and the other guys said they would. Not only did Elmurod demanded us to pay each man a $50 tip, but he also wanted to be paid upfront, even though they hadn't completed the job. We asked Elmurod to please work on the couch as the final item to be moved. To our surprise, while we waited for them, they simply left and let our couch in the garage and other furniture with our door open. As well as a bunch of packing trash behind. When I contacted their manager I been getting the run around, I shared photos of damaged furniture and shared the additional $190 I had to pay to get our couch moved upstairs. Still no reply and no resolution. I will be filling a claim. Furthermore, our dining table and chair got damaged during the move, even though you pay additional for their insurance they won't honor it. They contacted me and refused to provide a refund for additional movers to complete the move of the left over furniture and also stated they wouldn't provide any money back due to me leaving a negative review.

I was charged an additional $400 for moving 2 dressers because they considered them heavy. I read the pre-move agreement and they should have notified me of the additional charge. Instead, I was surprised with a bill that was over the estimate because of them charging me for lunch time and two pieces of furniture that they considered over 350 lbs.

They turned what could've been a nightmare into a smooth move. These two are the real MVPs. Unfortunately, management was a complete letdown. Disorganized communication, last-minute changes, and worst of all -- financial issues. Hidden charges, unclear billing, and a frustrating lack of transparency. Great team with very affordable rates. Made good time too, under 7 hours moving 2 separate apartments into a single new one. Also they texted us when they realized they had accidentally taken a glass top for one of our tables and drove all the way back to give it to us without us even asking. However - it was 90 degrees when they started at 9am and it only got hotter and more humid over the course of the morning/early afternoon. The team arrived on time and ready to get to work. While the origin home had a driveway that can easily be described as "steep," the new home's driveway makes the old one look like a tiny, gentle slope. It is so steep, the truck could not back up the driveway at all - the metal step on the back hung up on the concrete right at the bottom. It is also LONG: Maurice and TC now had to carry all of my stuff up that driveway, stage it in a flat area, and then carry it the rest of the way up a slightly lesser slope around the side and back of the house, of equal distance to the driveway, that finally lead to my door. It was not a good time. These two men were incredible - absolutely wonderful. They took excellent care of my stuff, yes, but they were also incredibly friendly and professional, had excellent, positive attitudes, and never complained once. They joked about it in a very good-natured way. I kept them supplied with cold drinks and cold, damp towels to make sure they survived the insane heat and hard work, encouraged them to take breaks, et cetera: They were working so hard, I was genuinely concerned for their well-being, but they are strapping young lads and persevered where I would have 100% perished. They were so kind about the miserable conditions. Their good humor and amazing work ethic got us all through the experience. Yes, we ran over our time estimate, but none of us realized the driveway was impassible for the truck, and that multiplied the work by easily a factor of 10 in this heat.
