Great food! Customer service is about what to be expected in a buffet environment. Very clean main area.

First, it says Kin's on the outside. Maybe it's changed recently? Let's get straight to it. Let's get the negatives out of the way. The price. It's a little expensive, even for a weekend. You would expect more and better choices for the prices we paid. About $80 for two adults and a midget. They had your typical fare. The least favs-ribs(tough/dry and no flavor), steak(tough and under seasoned), steam buns(the filling just no), bourbon chicken(dry chicken and not enough sauce), and the consensus least fav were all the desserts. There was flying bugs, and everything was super dry and tasted old. I get it, what do expect for a Chinese buffet in San Antonio? Well I expect no flying insects in the desserts for the price I paid. Also, 75 % of the fruit we got was as tough as the steak. Oh, and the cold shrimp, either overcooked or thawed the wrong way. The shell was practically glued on. The positives-all the rice and noodle dishes were good to ok. The hot and sour soup was really good! The teriyaki chicken was actually good. The bigger sauced rib was good. The kimchi was some of the better we've had recently. The spring rolls with peanut were good. The two fish dishes we had(fried and not fried) were actually quite nice. All the breads were good. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Almost forgot, the bathrooms were kinda gross. They need to be kept clean. Will not come back again. read more

I love coming here for the crawfish :) you can definitely get your money's worth from just that alone. The buffet options are good, but their general tso's chicken is not the best (and I judge how good overall Chinese buffets on this lol). A surprise hit is the sautéed green beans, which are perfectly cooked and garlicky--just like how you'd find it traditionally cooked in Chinese cuisine. I also think they're deep fried (salt and pepper?) shrimp (next to the crawfish) is very delicious. Plates are cleared pretty quickly and the buffet space is kept orderly and decently clean. read more

Ok this place is great. So says my wife I'm just ok with it (to be honest in not a fan of this type of fast Chinese food) but my wife loves it here. This is ger go to spot. The staff is always friendly and quick. If your a fan of these buffets then this place wont disappoint . Love this buffet! Lots of different options ranging from pizza to sushi and seafood! It is a large facility with a ton of indoor seating. Large tables that can seat large group; very family friendly!! Personally, I went to the sushi center and enjoyed the variety of nigiri! Came here as we are new to the neighborhood. I don't mind paying before we eat, after all, it's a buffet, but I don't like tipping before we even eat. My wife and I like to tip our servers direct and in cash. Being that we didn't add the tip before our meal, our table wasn't serviced. This is uncalled for and unprofessional. I had to refill our drinks myself at the server's station. I didn't mind doing so either and I'll do it again if I have to. The food was good, overpriced IMO compared to Asia Star, where we don't have a problem with service. Highly unlikely we will be going back to Lin's anytime soon. As a person who has studied Cantonese and Szechuan and Hunan cooking in China, this food is severely Americanized. Pretty much the same throughout the city. Only thing I don't care about this place is that it has too many seafood items. The ambience is standard and the service Picking up our dirty tableware is good. I have been looking for a great Asian Buffet and I was so happy to come across this place. We recently just moved from Hawaii and I was so happy to see a bunch of my favorites. I must say that I'm he brisket was delicious! We went around 7:30pm and I was happy we were able to get seated right away. Everything tasted pretty fresh and they were still bringing out food. Our waiter was sweet and everyone was friendly. I can't wait to come back and bring my friends. The cost for two adults and two drinks were $41. For this place not being that old, it's already so run down. The food wasn't that bad, I never saw my waiter in the time I was there. But the biggest thing was how dirty the booths were, seats torn, wobbly tables, stained booths, food on the blinds and that's that I moved tables 3 times until I found something I was willing to sit in. read more

Horrible place. Did a Doordarshan order and specifically stated on my order no mushrooms as I'm alert. Well they didn't care and 3 bites in found mushrooms. My tongue is still a little swollen and the manager was so rude. She demanding I take the food back and told her I had no transportation for one and that it should have been taken care of before it left the restaurant to assure it didn't contain mushrooms. It's clearly written on the order receipt but yet they did whatever they wanted at the costumers health. Never again will I order from these people. read more

OK, I went to Lin's international buffet as yelp and Google maps says, however, looking for the place the actual sign says kins ...KINS! So that threw me off yeah you should get that fixed ! We were a party of 10 to celebrate the granddaughters 14th birthday! It's her favorite restaurant! she's been coming there since she was a little girl three years old and now she's 14! The birthday girl got to eat, free.,but that's the only gratuity they gave for the birthday girl, no song no cake! Sad face! Other than that, the food is good ! I have been here three times and I have to admit for being a buffet everything is pretty fresh and actually taste really good. Some of my favorite thing so far would have to be the teriyaki chicken, the hot wings, the pepper steak, the fried rice and the general TSO chicken. Oddly enough they make you pay before you sit down which is not good for their servers because if you are paying with A credit card or debit card and not using Cash how are you able to tip your server or waitress before you even meet them. That's kind of like getting married to somebody before even meet them. So attention management if I was you all I would somehow allow us clients to be able to tip the server or wait staff after we eat and then we pay. Everything is very clean, huge restaurant. Opening weekend and it's as busy as I expected. There's a line out the door, but moving pretty quickly. Who would have thought a buffet would be so popular? The restaurant is big and there is plenty of seating. One set fee will get you all the Chinese, Pho, seafood, sushi, pizza, steak and dessert. You can eat it or take it to go. You should expect the typical buffet food. Do expect a better seafood selection than any buffet in town. They have raw oysters, crab legs, baked salmon, grilled fish. Bring your wet wipes if you plan to eat oysters and crab legs. Ask your waiter for the crab cracker. The sushi bar is pretty good too. They have the typical rolls and then some. If you like fresh salmon or tuna, you can find that in the sushi bar. I was disappointed their seaweed salad had lettuce. Pho is made to order. You pick your ingredients and you'll have a fresh dish within minutes. They have dim sum. It's just not labeled. It's like playing Russian roulette. Some are sweet and some are savory. Been three times and they've only been open a week!! lol I always have shrimp and get a small bowl of the cocktail sauce (ketchup/horse radish.) Anytime I've gone I ask my server if she would please go to the kitchen and get me some extra horse radish. They've always got me some but today they said they didn't have horse radish. I told them they had to have some as they had some on the buffet. I just prefer it hotter. I only ask for maybe a good tablespoon of it. Server talked to kitchen and management and they all said they didn't have any horse radish! I even got some the day before and you could see the horse radish on the buffet today. I give Lin's international buffet a one star review because the workers wouldn't let my father enjoy the free meal due to advertise the free meal event and tell him that he needed two adults to get a free meal. I think the manager should advertise but with the honest truth so the public can know what are the recommendations are required to enter the building and if not the manager can tell the public the truth they deserve.
