    Peking duck

The peking duck is to die for!! Definitely the star of the show. Their fried beef flat rice noodles were just okay, but their soup dumplings and siu mai were standard. They were pretty busy, but the server was super nice! There's also a ton of seating, and everything was super clean. Definitely still thinking about their duck!

Amazing experience at tasty. Made reservations and phone staff was very responsive and accommodating. The interior of the restaurant, from dining room to restroom, was breathtakingly beautiful and hygienic. We ordered the pork BBQ buns, scallion pancake, and soup dumplings as starters. Everything was so flavorful and fresh, came out quickly and steaming hot the way I like. The main entrees we ordered were the beef stir fry and whole Peking duck . These did not disappoint . I am so happy. They have happy hour and lunch specials during the week apparently, and a rewards program to earn points. Not mad I came on a Saturday though . This was worth every penny.

They don't have the traditional dim sum experience over the weekend with the carts but they make their dim sum fresh when you order it from the menu. Food is really really good. Servers are attentive. The restaurant is clean and perfect for large parties. The bathroom is clean too! Parking lot is large.

Made a stop here with my mom and brother recently for lunch. The restaurant had the typical Chinese decor that you see in most places. The menu features decent lunch specials. I opted for the beef and broccoli. It was accompanied by hot and sour soup, fried rice, and egg roll. I enjoyed each aspect of the meal. The waitress who was tending to us kept our cups filled. I would definitely be visiting in the future.

Much better experience this time. All the dim sum dishes were good and fresh. Chow fun with beef was also good. Best was their home made sesame balls, save it for dessert to order, not good when it gets hard and cold. Most places these days offer these but get them frozen. We asked for the Baked BBQ buns as well as the usual steamed ones. Just wish they did not brush it with honey on top, it's sticky and the sweetness doesn't go. Our servers were not Chinese so took awhile to get across some information that were not in the menu. Decent prices, 4 of us had dim sum for about $85 Like the modern seating and looks, a good place to bring a date or eat with company. No carts here that we saw on a Sunday.

We've been here many times. We even had a big party last year held here in their private room. Their food is mostly delicious. There are a few items where it was okay. One of our orders was not placed, but it turned out well because we were all full. The service is exceptional. The decor is nice and the restaurant is pretty big. I highly recommend this place.

This restaurant serves dim sum all week! As a frequent flyer at Golden Wok's weekend dim sum, it was exciting for me to come by Tasty on a weekday date night and get to eat my dim sum faves. There isn't the huge rush, so they don't run out of items or I don't have to hunt down the cart with the garlic pea shoots! Another great thing about Tasty is their quality serving of peking duck! One of the few restaurants that serve it in San Antonio and they have you the option of bao buns or spring roll wrappers. I wish they let you sample both, but I'll just have to try the wraps next time! I ordered half a duck for about $30 and it was just enough for my date and I. We took a little bit home, since we got full from other dim sum. A few minutes in the air fryer and it was still crisp and juicy! We also ordered their crispy shrimp balls and the bean curd with pork and veggies. Only other thing I wish they had was some low sodium soy sauce. I always forget that restaurants use normal soy sauce in their pourers and it's always is too salty for me. They also have a nice drink menu if you're interested in wine or some fruity cocktails. Overall I really enjoyed the meal and will take my parents next time!

This place is - TASTY!! Nice addition to the wurzbach area. Place is huge. Clean inside. Staff was very nice. What made me go was I tried a pot sticker someone had got and brought to a near by bar. The pot stickers got me. I would go again and have. You should too.

    Exterior shot. Plenty of parking.

TLDR: One of the best Asian restaurants I've been to, and easily the best in San Antonio. Go eat there! I've been lucky enough to visit Tasty Modern Asian Kitchen (TMAK) a couple of times now. Plenty of parking, easy to get to off I-10, and I'm blown away by the consistent quality of the food. Very upscale Chinese place with a separate banquet room and many booths and table. Service was top-notch with attentive wait staff. To my surprise, the dim sum menu is served all day. While slightly more expensive per dish, the items inside are larger - in some cases, as with the har gao and the sui mai, quite a bit larger! Very tasty and served piping hot. Their version of Mongolian beef, duck scallion egg rolls, and a calamari dish (Crispy fried squid) were all excellent. But the real standouts are their Macau-style crispy pork belly and the Beijing (Peking) duck. Both are plated magnificently, with small slices and sauce to dip in; the duck in particular comes with hoisin, vegetables, and those little pancakes to eat it with. Even better, the skin is roasted crisp and the bones have been removed, making this this ultimate lazy-man's way to enjoy the dish. This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch yesterday. We were greeted at the door by a friendly woman, I assume is ownership, and seated immediately. Our server, Adrian T, was super friendly, attentive and provided us superior service. He really went above and beyond even our highest expectations! Very impressive sir! Our food was came out very quickly and was fresh, hot and delicious! Each item we ordered was enjoyed. The restaurant is very clean and bright. Every employee we encountered smiled at us, and was very friendly! I want to thank everyone at Tasty Modern Asian Kitchen for providing my wife and I such a wonderful dining experience! We will definitely be back! Can't wait to bring our family on our next visit!

Delicious! My parents loved this place so much we came here twice in three days! The place is very clean and seating was plentiful for both visits during lunch. The menu is pretty hefty, but that is only because every dish comes with a picture! They have a variety of options to select from for dim sum and the a-la-carte dishes. From order to delivery of the dish was pretty quick. Each dish came out hot and deliciously prepared! They just do not have the carts in most dim sum restaurants, which I prefer. Only because the dishes sit on a hot steam and in my opinion just not as fresh. Overall, a must visit for us again. Enjoy!

I give it a 7 out of 10. The inside is nice. Food wise, the dim sum is good. The chow fun is light and not oily. The cha siu needs more honey sweet taste. It's too "red" as far as the dye goes. But l'd come back to try other dishes.

So happy to see something fantastic finally take over this space -- it's truly prime real estate right off I-10, and this restaurant is making the most of it! Let's start with the atmosphere: the space is enormous and beautifully designed, offering something for everyone -- cozy romantic corners, casual dining areas, and lively spots perfect for drinks with friends. The energy was great without being overwhelming. Service deserves a major shout-out. The manager was exceptional -- attentive, personable, and clearly leading by example. He checked in multiple times, even jumped in to help with refills. Love seeing that kind of leadership and teamwork in action! Food-wise, the Peking Duck is clearly the headliner (and I'll definitely be back for it), but today's lineup started strong with the BBQ pastry -- flaky, sweet, and perfectly crisp. Absolutely addictive. Next up was the cheesy corn bun, which completely surprised me in the best way. It's a warm, steamed bun with a lightly sweet dough and creamy corn custard filling -- unique, comforting, and delicious. I also tried the Beef Lo Mein -- solid, but not the standout compared to everything else we sampled. Next visit will definitely focus more on the dim sum and that famous duck! All in all, this spot delivers on atmosphere, service, and food -- a welcome and long-awaited addition to the area. Can't wait to come back!

You go into the app and get the support folks to cancel it, or it is called "customer initiated" and you lose your refund. Anyway, Doordash had the order redone and delivered with a new driver. Let's get to Sichuan Garden. I ordered from here because they had some "non- standard" offerings. I lived in Taiwan a while back and upon return to the US never acquired a taste for the supposedly authentic Americanized dishes. I ordered stir fried pork tripe and pork intestines in spicy chili sauce. I got a complimentary side of fried rice with each of them. I also ordered beef lomein for my son and 4 eggrolls. I tasted the lomein, and it was just okay. I have definitely had better. The egg rolls were "delivery soggy" but tasted fantastic. Can't complain there. The trip and intestine dishes were both delicious. I could eat them every day for the rest of my life and be satisfied. The fried rice, though, was awful. I used it the next day to make a much more improved version at home. All in all, I like the food from Sichuan Garden. I am anxious to go there and dine in. Many years ago, on the way home from my knee surgery, my wife went through the drive through and got me an order of combination lo mein. I loved it and always remembered how good it was. Why didn't I ever go back? Too many other options closer to home. Well, let me tell you... This was still the fantastic lo mein I remembered. The meats are really nice. They take the time to velvet their chicken, which a lot of places don't seem to do anymore. Plus, either the beef or the pork was nicely barbecued. The sauce has that little something extra spice-wise that I liked tasting in a lot of food when I lived in Taiwan. I think it is star anise or maybe a five-spice blend.
