    The stage

We had the best time at Goldfield Trading Post! It's a great venue, with bars on both levels. The band was amazing...Tainted Love is so talented! They sang all the great 80s hits and kept the crowd rocking. If you're visiting Goldfield, know that there's a free garage nearby so parking is a breeze. The lower level with the stage is standing room (which we really enjoyed...perfect for dancing), but there seemed to be seats with great views on the upper level. I imagine you need to get there early to snatch those up. There's no in and outs, but they do have a patio area if you need to grab some fresh air. The crowd was awesome but for the couple of guys that were getting froggy, security was on them and handled it within seconds. Great venue, phenomenal band. Looking forward to more shows here!

We saw a show here and at entry the door staff wanted to take a picture of our each of our faces. When I asked why, the door staff got super irritated and tried to kick us out. I looked up afterwards and it's call patron scan. Just be aware you will need to be photographed to enter this place. It was very weird. The show was great though!

We went here for the Bayker Blankenship concert and Joe and Martina opened for them. Both did a phenomenal job and put on an incredible show. If it was the show itself, I would easily give them five stars because they both put on an incredible performance and concert. As for the venue, I'm a bit more mixed so I will break down the pros and cons. Pros: *The venue seems to be in a good location in the downtown area with a decent amount of parking. *The prices were reasonable for tickets. *I liked that they had two different price points for the experience you are looking to have and for what you are wanting to spend. The first floor is standing only, although you can get right up close to the action. The balcony area you pay a bit more and was seated and had a server assigned to the tables. *Our server and all the staff delivering food and drinks did a phenomenal job and were very friendly and attentive. *We didn't order drinks, but heard they were reasonably priced so that's good to hear. *They provided free bottled water to us in the balcony section. *They have a QR code for you to order food. I didn't think it was amazing, although convenient. Cons: *I felt the times could have been more clearly outlined. The show said it started at 7pm, although we didn't get in because there was a line until 7:30pm although arrived at 6:30pm and some people got in way later. Joe and Martina started at 8pm and Bayker Blankenship didn't start until 9:10pm, which was later than I and others expected. *What I disliked most about this place is that they scan your ID and take a picture of your face. I felt the picture of your face was invasive and excessive. I didn't like that and feel like I wouldn't come back to a place that requires taking a picture of you before you can enter a venue. *Due to it being a small venue, there were some hiccups like a couple of the microphones not working and the acoustics being off at the start, although this was quickly fixed for the most part (with the exception of one microphone not working on stage). *Wasn't the biggest fan of the food. It was an okay falafel wrap. Overall, an exceptional performance that we both loved. I personally didn't like the requirement of them taking a picture of myself before I could enter. It seems like they might have established this after problems arose, but feel there are better ways to deal with this than invasive measures like taking your picture before entering the venue to make sure it passes some test of theirs. For that reason primarily, I don't know if I would come back to this venue.

We came for a Rock Concert! The service was great I had one drink , it wasn't watered down . This was my first Rock experience and they did not disappoint, the vibe was insane! I experienced a mosh pit and head banging

This review is for Goldfield Trading Post as a concert venue only. I have partaken of the bevvies, but not of any food offerings they may have. The short of it is that I love coming to this smaller but still decently sized venue for shows, and the only flaw is the tight space getting through the crowd if you need to go from one side of the floor to the other, between the (full, yes) bar and the stage. With the way this place is designed, there's no way around this and I get that. As bottlenecks go, I prefer this venue greatly over their J Street Downtown sister space. I prefer to post up in the right side balcony here because the view overhead is so spectacular if you can get there early enough to be at the railing. My friends and I were just here for Holding Absence's first headlining tour (we were the first in the US to give them a sold out show too, props Sacramento area fans!) with Casey and Capstan this past weekend, and a little over a year ago, I came here for Counterparts with Dying Wish and SeeYouSpaceCowboy. Both shows were fantastic. They have a really nice sound system, and the staff and security are cool from what I've personally experienced. They have a wide floor plan that offers as good a view as possible even for short people honestly, without crap in the way to obstruct the stage. If you're gonna mosh, space is limited and it gets wild. I'm old and have back problems, so go be extra for me, take care of each other. Drinks are not as expensive as other local venues, which is always a plus. They are smaller plastic cups, but not weak pours. Bartenders are cool. Bottles of water are $3. Tickets are sold through SeeTickets, which has an app, but will also provide ticket barcodes that scan directly from your confirmation email. I paid $20-$30 for each ticket. I have not used the app. They start at GA, but VIP is available. From what I gather, this is a seated area on one or both balconies. For one show I saw this set up on the right balcony, but not the other, which meant I had a perfect view that time. The other time, I could still see decently. They have two small screens in the balcony areas, so you could watch that way if it's too crowded. There are windows up here you could open for air, but they don't have screens, so do so at your own risk. Bathrooms are small, and run low on TP, so plan ahead there. It is a fight through the crowd to get to the bathrooms unless you are already on the left of the stage. They have a large smokers pen outside which you enter and exit using a glass slider. The venue is pretty cool by design in a lot of ways. It fits in well in this area of Roseville and I hope it continues to draw people in. As I said earlier in this again much too long and rambly review, I prefer this location to the one closer to me. Parking: This area of Old (ish) Roseville is kinda dead in spots so it shouldn't be an issue to find parking a few blocks from the venue. There is *free* street parking on Vernon and on Atlantic, which runs behind the venue. Be wary of the traintracks; if you aren't used to the area they can send you in circles if you're driving or walking in from certain directions. Do not mess around with driving tipsy over here between the trains and the PD, it's not a good idea on top of what is already not a good idea. Use rideshare or carpool with a DD.

I liked it here. It was our first time! Bartenders were friendly. My lemon drop was amazing! Pretty much standing room only for a concert unless you reserve seating upstairs. But who sits at a concert?!?! There was a fight that broke out but security was on it. Not one time did I not feel safe. Woman's bathroom was clean, too. I already got tickets to see another show here in July! Great place!

Just went to our second concert here and this is by far our favorite venue in the Sacramento area. Parking is easy and free in a garage a hop, skip, and jump away. The staff is friendly and we love the vibe. The smoking area is great bc you can still see the stage. We hope we can see a show here again soon!

Ask the Community - Goldfield Trading Post

What time does will call open if you have to pick up your tickets?

I believe will call opens when the doors for the show open. Typically, it's an hour before the show starts. If you have will-call tickets, give them your name at the entrance, and they will check your name off a list.

Are kids allowed at the shows?

Hello, yes our shows are for all ages unless otherwise specified!

Is the bar still open to the public during a show?

ONLY IF YOU BUY A TICKET TO THE SHOW

Do they have a full bar or is it just beer, seltzer & cider?

They have a full bar and I was surprised with the skill of the bartenders.

Can you buy tickets at the venue to avoid paying online ticket fees?

No. You have to pay the online fees, the only way to get tickets is to buy them online. They don't have a box office, unfortunately.

How late do concerts usually go till?

    10:30/11:00

Sarah L. I went to the event July 8 but my only option that comes up is GA $30. And the quantity where will I see the option to upgrade thanks for clarifying that it is an option by the way?

Yep- you can upgrade your ticket on our website to reserve a seat upstairs.

Caden greeted us with great hospitality, made sure we were settled in before we golfed, and continued to check on us and help us. I would definitely want to continue coming to Waymaker as long as he is there - our other experiences were not nearly as good without him. Previously, others would not be quick to greet us (we waited nearly 15 minutes once just to get checked in due to the front desk person on their phone at the bar, not even knowing they were a worker). Golf simulator was fun, with plenty of options, such as range, courses, and games. Plenty of selections for drinks as well, including beer, wine, and mixed drinks. We love the sushi and other food options as well. They occasionally have live music and play various sporting events, which helps with them being kid friendly (we bring our 2 year old). Caden was kind, patient and offered a great welcoming vibe.

There's plenty of parking, and the unique metal artwork at the entrance is a fun photo op before you even walk in. Inside is huge with two bars, TVs throughout, an awesome patio that's dog-friendly (they even offer pups a free meal!), and some of the coolest decor with tap handles and bottles lining the ceiling. Such a fun vibe. Our server, Art, was fantastic, and the bartenders were equally welcoming. Service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Happy Hour (Monday-Friday, 3-6 PM) is seriously one of the best I've seen. They offer a huge selection of food, craft cocktails, beer, and wine, all for under $10. It's the perfect excuse to stop in after work or meet up with friends. We brought our son, Ty, and loved that Tuesdays are Kids Eat Free. He ordered the chicken fried rice, and I couldn't believe how generous the portion was. Even better, every kids' meal comes with fresh orange slices and churro bites, which was such a fun touch. The food was fresh, flavorful, and Ty gave it two enthusiastic thumbs up! Now the food... WOW. This is so much more than bar food. The menu is chef-driven with bold Asian-inspired flavors and generous portions. The Firecracker Sashimi was incredibly fresh with just the right amount of heat, and the Drunken Pig Fries were loaded with flavor. The Tom Yum Shrimp completely stole the show. The shrimp were absolutely massive with a crispy coating that stayed perfectly crunchy, tossed in a bold, vibrant tom yum-inspired sauce that packed serious flavor. Served over rice with a fresh arugula salad, every bite was packed with flavor. My husband ordered the Korean Skirt Steak with shrimp, and it arrived on a sizzling hot plate. You could tell the steak had been marinating for a long time because every bite was packed with flavor. The fried rice soaked up all those delicious juices and developed the best crispy bits. Then came the Sticky Toffee Cake... warm, gooey, buttery, and the perfect way to end the meal. An absolute must-order. Amazing food, outstanding service, generous portions, and a fun atmosphere. University of Beer has officially become a new family favorite, and we'll absolutely be back.

This was actually the first time I visited the entire downtown Roseville area, and I was pleasantly surprised there was a parking garage since all the parking spots in front of the establishment were occupied. After a few minutes mulling over what to get, I ended up getting the French Dip with duck fat fries. I also tried their Divinity Stout. Wow. The food - Amazing! We were all ready to go and find another restaurant, but the person seating said to wait a minute. A table was just cleared and she was able to seat us. It was a good thing we paused as we got a table in back, next to the birthday party alcove. When we walked to our seats we passed an alcove with couches and chairs and whole bunch of kids jumping and running around with a few adults mingled in. As it turns out it was a birthday party for one of the adults. They sang to him and he blew out the candles on his cake. The restaurant is quite loud, but not too loud that you could still have a conversation which was a surprised as it was so loud. This is not the place to go for a romantic dinner. It's a pub, minus the year round Shepard's pie. They change the menu twice a year and that's only served fall/winter. That was sad because that was what I really wanted to order. Service was really good, the waiter kept coming back and checking on us. We first ordered drinks, then appetizers. We go the baked Brie Board for the table (there was 4 of us). It was a really solid appetizer. We all over the baked Brie and fruits included. I would order it again for a table of 4. My husband ordered the Monk's Burger and found it very tasty. I agree it was good, but a little on the dry side and the fries wern't crispy enough and tasted old. I got the Halibut. I found it tough and hard to cut into, maybe it was over seared a bit. It didn't taste fish at all which was good. The Cherry and Currant chutney was unusually and addd a good flavor to it. I wouldn't order it again. My girlfriend ordered the Moules Frites and said it had a very generous potion and would feed two easily, though she ate it all herself after sharing some with the table. Everyone agreed it was very tasty. The presentation was good too. It came in a large pot. Lastly our other friend ordered the fish and chips and said it was a generous portion. He only ate half of it and took the other half home and he was hungry to begin with. Parking is street parking or there is a free garage a couple of blocks away and over the bridge. You can see the train passing by on the other side of the bridge. Overall it was a good meal. I though my halibut was subpar and the fries that came with the burger had the texture and taste of old fries, they were also just room temperature when they were borough out. Sadly they weren't piping hot from the frier.
