Allergies taken into account when reservations are made. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Guests are spread out and separated by goods for sale (think handmade items, food products, etc.) displayed on shelves and racks throughout the seating area. The service is attentive yet relaxed. The loose leaf tea was perfectly steeped and patrons were given the opportunity to choose another tea selection after the first pot if desired. Honey and cream were also offered upon request. The sandwiches were fresh and flavorful. The petite desserts were perfect. The homemade "clotted cream" was the best that I have had in the area (which is difficult to do here in the U.S.). Butter was also offered upon request. The 2 hour seating was more than ample and I appreciated the time to catch up with my friend. We never felt rushed. My only suggestion would be a more generously sized scone and for the scone to be served warm. I also loved that they came around at the end with a thank you - very thoughtful and unexpected. 4++ Farmers market that pops up in the Downtown Martinez area on Sundays I believe…read more While the market isn't huge, there's a really good selection of produce purveyors along with some eateries, some bakeries, and some general vendors. This farmers market as a small town charm to it and every person I interacted with was friendly. I was in the area because I crashed at a buddy's house the night before. When I was leaving the area, I saw this place and wanted to check it out. Keep in mind it was around the holidays and it was drizzling a bit that Sunday, so I'm not sure if it affected the amount of vendors present as this was my first time visiting. I ended up getting some enchiladas to go from one of the vendors selling Mexican food and a loaf of quinoa bread from one of the bakers (West Won Bread out of Napa). The food was good and the quinoa loaf was amazing and enjoyed by my parents and I later on when we served with some stew. Would love to re-visit with better weather conditions and different parts of the year. But definitely an enjoyable market based on my first visit.

All the vendors are super nice! All the fruits are always so delicious and always nice to snag some free samples. For a few highlights, E&H Farms have the best mushrooms. I love the Salsa's Chick's Mango Salsa. Julie's baked potatoes are so fluffy and filled with so many fix ins. You really can't go wrong with any of the fresh produce! There's really a lovely community here with so many regulars visiting every Saturday morning, rain or shine. The market is the best when it's a beautiful sunny day as there will be live music and the street is packed with more vendors. It's a great way to support local farmers and small businesses.

Previous attempts were met with 30-45min. wait times that a quick lunch break would never allow. This time, I got lucky with a quick in & out visit on a Friday during lunchtime. The store's an almost comical-surreal throwback to the old food co-op's from the 1970's (for all us grown folks that were part of that era). Like stepping back into a time machine. But, the wonderful smells from the deli hit me when I walked in, which was great and got the appetite juices flowing big time. A two meat cold cut sandwich w/ cheese will set you back $17, tax included. Which is about the ceiling of what I'm willing to pay currently for a similar take-out sandwich anyplace else. Adding that 2nd meat is what kicks the price up a few more bucks. A heated sandwich request adds .50c and extra meat is another $2 on top. Truth be told, most other deli's and sandwich shops have an equivalent option for slightly less $ it seems. Would be gravy if they threw in a can of generic soda pop (Shasta, Cragmont or the like) and maybe a mini bag of chips for this pricepoint, but whatever. Not a deal breaker. Sandwich was very good and they advertise using Boarhead brand meats. It's a winner, if not an everyday lunch option based on price. Check it.

Another Asian Grocery Store that been getting plenty of business in Vallejo. Seem like people in Vallejo have choices to go to Island Pacific or the other two grocery stores in the city.

On the door it says open until 7pm but on Yelp it says closes at 5:30pm. I came here excited for an acai bowl! I asked to add extra ice so the acai was thick, because typically places make them soup-y. The cashier said she'll just add less juice so it's more thick, awesome ok. I get the bowl and as soon as I pick it up the content inside swishes around like soup. The 3 strawberries were not even cut? They were just whole, frozen strawberries. But for the fresas con crema we got, strawberries looked more fresh and were sliced :( Ok back to the acai bowl, the granola was just a skinny sliver. Maybe like 5% of the bowl on the top. The overall taste of the bowl was just not there. I'm so sad it wasn't that great but I get it, the bowls aren't their specialty and they just opened with new hires. I ended up going back inside and asking them to just blend it all and put it into a cup. They already knew I was asking for that because it was sooo soup-y and not thick at all. Just a warning for my acai bowl lovers. I'm sure everything else here is good but I'm going to come back after they get more experience.
