a chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes

I am not person who complain, but if you ask for chicken cutlet sandwich You expect hot and fresh- not even close They serve me cold with attitude, when I went, back and ask why the meat is cold - they replace After complaint with dry like the wood Not sure what to say .... Just disappointment after all... I use to go that place a lot... Now I am not sure I even going to buy coffee from them Good luck for other, check your sandwich before you leave ...

Came from out of town (came from the south) and this was the best burrito I've ever had. Got a good portion of food for the price we paid, and it was extremely filling and even more delicious. The service was great and the staff really wanted to make sure his customers were happy and gave us every little thing we wanted. Wish I could go more often but it's very far away, but I mean it when I say that was the best burrito ever.

No. I've given this place a couple of trys but each time I've left disappointed. Ordered a "hot pastrami" and was amazed when I opened it to see what I thought was a vegetarians dream... All Lettuce tomatoe and no meat. After playing a game of hide and seek I was able to finally locate the meat hiding under the bread on top of 4 inches of Lettuce. There's nothing special about the pastrami it's sliced and nothing about it was hot.

It's a spot located almost across the street from the high school stadium, so this is definitely an option for those who are students, their parents, and faculty within the Wilton High School. Having come here for 14 years, there's bound to be some changes in that time. Overall, the staff is still a friendly staff that promotes that community feel although it is admittedly not quite as good as say 10 years ago. I did notice someone described this as quiet, but this is a place that gets a lot of business, so while they have their quiet moments, you are bound to meet some bustle when you're here. Also, they do keep up with the times, accepting Apple Pay as a payment method. Onto the food, what I will say is that if you're a deli who has lasted a long time in Wilton, you know you've done something right, and every time I order from here illustrates this. My favorite is their Barcelona sandwich, which is a breaded chicken cutlet with provolone, roasted red peppers, and pesto mayonnaise. The one I get is in a garlic bread sub with an addition of bacon. Slaps every time might I say, and I will hear nothing else! It's not their only menu thing I've had over the years though. They do great no matter what you get, from breakfast to lunch to dinner. The new cashier ladies they have you do have to make an extra effort to get order in for, but they're still competent enough. One change I really did not like came during COVID-19 when hours were cut everywhere. While understandable in 2020, I really wish they would go back to their pre-pandemic schedule when they were open later during the week and open on Sundays. That way, if someone in the area needed something during the evenings or those Sundays, they would have one. But yeah, the Wilton Deli is still THE Deli of Wilton and I imagine it will stay that way for the rest of my life.

It was quite busy when we arrived on a late Sunday a.m. in January. Tables were filled and there was a line for ordering. We decided on a tomato cheddar soup and the Churn it Up sandwich with Havarti and provolone. We were told the wait would be 40 mins, giving us the option to wait it out or go elsewhere. We stuck it out and the food was at our table in less than 20 mins. The sandwiches were ooey gooey toasted cheesiness and paired perfectly with the creamy tomato soup. It came with a lighty dressed arugula salad. I had a freshly brewed ice tea and my dining partner got a Dr. Brown's soda. The breakfast rush was soon over but people were still coming in to eat and grab take out while we enjoyed our meals. They also offer beers and wines and hot chocolate. The entire place was very clean, including the restrooms, although I did not see any table wiping going on. Staff were smiling and polite. Plenty of parking in lot shared with other business.

Yes, many of the grocery items are overpriced, but the sandwiches (both pre-made and made-to-order) are outstanding and fairly priced. The "Frank the Tank" sandwich is my go-to and it is enormous. In addition to a generous portion of chicken cutlet, there is plenty of avocado, bacon, cheese, and sriracha mayo. I have also gotten their reuben ("NY State of Mind) and the chicken parm, and both were excellent. I tried the pre-made turkey sandwich yesterday and it was pretty substantial. The pre-made bacon-egg-cheese sandwiches are five bucks and very fresh in the morning. The guys at the deli counter have always been very friendly and efficient, and the staff are really good about taking phone orders, even when they are busy. The staff was super friendly, and I ordered a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. It was made on a Brioche roll with a fried egg. Honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of the egg or the sandwich overall. It was okay, probably a three-star kind of thing. Next time I went back, I tried the Calise sandwich, which has chicken cutlet, broccoli rabe, roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and balsamic glaze. I asked for the broccoli rabe on the side because I know everyone makes it differently. I get that it can be bitter, but some places make it taste amazing without the bitterness, so I wanted it on the side. The sandwich was really good, so I'd give it four stars, especially since the breakfast one was just three in my book. Sometimes you gotta visit a place a couple of times to really get a feel for their food. I wasn't really a fan of the broccoli rabe--it was a bit too bitter for me. But the sandwich itself was tasty, with well-seasoned chicken and really fresh mozzarella. Not sure if they make the mozzarella in-house, but it's delicious. It tasted just like you'd expect from an authentic Italian deli. Very good. Third time I went, I tried the Mother Clucker, which has a chicken cutlet, Russian dressing, cheddar cheese, and bacon. I wanted to try it because I'd seen it being made during my last visit and it looked awesome. It took about ten minutes to get ready. When I opened it up, I realized it had melted cheddar, not sliced like I thought, but it was all good. The sandwich was tasty, but a bit over the top with the bacon and melted cheddar--almost too much. I think using sliced cheddar would bring everything together better. The melted cheese kinda takes away from it, in my opinion. The bacon was crispy even with the cheesy sauce on top, and the chicken was nicely seasoned. I definitely plan to come back and try the Chopped Italian Combo. The staff's always friendly and welcoming, and it's a solid spot if you're looking for breakfast, with plenty of breakfast platters and other menu items that might catch your eye.
