Golf Mill hasnt been the same since my high school days. It's totally dead now full of silly 2nd generation milenials with nothing better to do. At least when I had hung at the mall kids were kids.....not in 2019. I just came out to burn off time before going to work tonight and it's like blah..... disappointed in this mall. Management needs to step up to get anchor stores to move in to draw crowds. At this point shopping malls are a thing of the past and you can sit home asking Suri or Alexa to order everything from pizza to a movie on Netflix. I'm just not feeling this place since half the stores I used to frequent are either getting ready to close or already closed and their spot sitting empty for a new tenant. It's a sad sight seriously.

    Glorious!

There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in this mall. It needs new stores ASAP. Good place for teens tho. Good teen center and Ross.

Pretty dead in here. I'd hope it could revive, but who knows. At least it has Pasttimes Comics in it.

I do miss the Aunt Annie's shop, it was right of the corner near the center court.

I see that the Bear Paddle Swim School is under construction, Rock Star Nails recently opened and one of my faves, Barnes & Noble, continues to do well here. For the last year, I visit Village Crossing several times a week. You would be amazed at the amount of cars here before the crack of dawn! I mean, you may be sleeping, but I and other workout fanatics, stockroom workers, cleaners, vampires, are all here before the sun rises.

I've shopped here for nearly 25 years, and it's always had a healthy mix of shops. There are a few…read moremajor retailers: Dick's Sporting Goods, FiveBelow, Barnes & Noble, Michael's, OfficeMax, PetSmart, Jewel, Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, Ulta Beauty, and an AMC Movie Theaters that's in a weird place around the back. There are also some small boutiques that I love--the Half Price Books is a terrific store where I always get good deals on hard to find books and rare CDs. The food options are good and well-placed, for what is essentially a series of wonkily-positioned strip malls. You won't go hungry at this shopping center. There are a bunch of fast food places clustered in the north-east section of the shopping center (Panda Express, Corner Bakery, and a Penn Station East Coast Subs), a few on the north-west side (Subway, Jersey Mike's), and sit down, stand-alone restaurants that ring the parking lot (Chili's and Outback Steakhouse). Near the AMC Movie Theater, there's a Buffalo Wild Wings, Village Roadhouse, and a Red Robin. I still have nostalgia for the huge CompUSA that used to be here. It's where I bought my first "real" computer--the Bondi Blue iMac in 1998. I also miss the Pier 1 that closed back in early 2000 (the sign is still currently up). If you're taking public transit from the city, catch the Pace 290 from the Howard Station of the Red Line, and it'll drop you across the street from the mall. If you're driving, good luck--this mall has a reputation for the roads and parking lots in front being oddly placed. I think there's also a parking garage for the AMC Movie Theater, too.

Unfortunately, this was one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I've had with T-Mobile. When I walked in, there were three employees in the store and another who appeared to be on break looking at phone cases. I was not greeted, acknowledged, or offered any help for about 15 minutes. Eventually, an employee approached me. I explained my situation, and she told me she could not help me and that I had to go online to file the claim myself. When I later called T-Mobile directly, I was told that store representatives are in fact able to help customers file claims. That means this employee chose not to assist me, which is extremely disappointing. I've been a loyal T-Mobile customer for 9 years (and before that a Sprint customer). I expect at least basic courtesy and accurate information when I visit a store. This location failed at both. Customer service is about helping the customer, not making them feel like they are a burden. No one was willing to do their job to assist. Sadly, I will not be returning to this store and I hope management takes steps to retrain their staff!

I was going to rate the store 4 stars, but I gotta give it 5 just because it's really a one of a kind shop.  They have all kinds of eclectic, random, fun, goofy, and also educational stuff and gadgets.  It's all supposed to have a bias towards science and education though.  Random things like military helmets, plastic wheels of various sizes, telescopes, microscopes, old typewriters, a Big Foot crossing sign, beakers and flasks, science kits, goofy models, toys, and trinklets, rubber mice, plastic ants for your next picnic, and whatever.  It's a great store for getting that unique geeky gift for someone, and also a place where inquisitive kids and adults alike can putz around and learn and laugh as well. They have their own convenient parking lot.  Their only other stores are in spread-out Geneva IL and Milwaukee WI.  Their prices ranged from cheap to modest from what I saw. The staff seems appropriately on the geeky side, but also friendly.  I met staffer Deborah and she showed me the signs depicting the company's history (since 1937!), and also informed me that coincidentally just two days ago they were featured on WGN-TV's Around Town morning show.  Here is the clip: https://wgntv.com/video/around-town-american-science-and-surplus/8385863/ Deborah told me after this TV clip, there was a big demand for their Bubble Blaster, which she happily demonstrated for me, and they sold out and had to restock their supply!  They also occasionally have free science party nights (next one is Feb 24 from 6:30 - 9pm) and those sound like a hoot for the kiddos.  I didn't buy anything this time, but do plan on bringing the grand-darlings back to putz around and probably walk away with who knows what next time lol.
