No one was here when we got here. We got here around 3:30. And it was very hot in there. We ordered pupusas and platanos Fritos. The platanos were hot , crispy and delicious. The pupusas were soso. My revueltas had no chicharron. Bean and cheese only. And the Cheese ones were just ok. The curtido was very flavorful tho. It is 100 in Pacoima today. It was uncomfortably hot in here. We have a lot of choices for pupusas in the San Fernando valley. This little while in the wall is no where near a modern dining experience, but that's why I love it! They have a variety of Salvadoran and some Mexican dishes, but I come for the Pupusas. They have a jalapeño one that's really good and their Revueltas are even better. Walked in at 7:23pm sign on the door says they close at 8pm. Lady asked us for our drink order and gave us menus, walked into the back to get the drinks then came out says they are closing at 7:45. My coworkers and I love the fact that this place has Pupusas for $1.50 every Wednesday however the lady taking orders is always a problem. Today my coworkers and I ordered a total of 5 pupusas that should have been maybe $9 considering the queso Pupusas isn't part of the special but when I arrived I was told we had a large order (5 Pupusas mind you) and the total was $17. I came here with my friends today to try some Salvadorian food. The place is located in a plaza, it's a medium size lot but it gets full at night so be aware. When you walk in you seat yourself and a waitress will come take your order. Our waitress didn't speak any English so my friend ordered for me in Spanish. I got the Carne Asada combo that comes with rice, bean and salad but I substitute it for French Fries which was a dollar extra. I also ordered the Rebueltas Pupusas and a bottle of coke. It took a while for our food to come out and for the waitress to come back to take our order. I believe she was the only one working the floor and there were a lot of other guest. My pupusas came out first, if you just eat it plain without the sauces and sides they give you then there won't be any taste. When I added the sides and sauces, the pupusas was amazing. My dish came out but they got it wrong (they forgot to substitute the fries) so it went back into the kitchen for it to get fix. My carne asada was burnt and the pieces were very thin like beef jerky. It wasn't my favorite but I was hungry so I finish it. The rice that came with the dish was good and the fries was fabulous. The service is slow here so be aware and there a minimum of $10 if you want to pay by credit card. They also don't accept American Express. read more

The pupusas here are soo good! I got 3 of them 2 revueltas and 1 queso con loroco. I especially loved the queso con loroco one maybe because I ordered that one with rice flour instead of the regular flour but the regular flour ones were still really good too. The size of them were pretty big I was only able to eat 2. I loved their horchata and my husband ordered an ensalada drink and said he would come back here just for another one. The only thing we didn't like of this place was that when we walked in there was nobody at the front we just grabbed the menus and sat down and like 5 minutes later some lady finally came out to help us. I always order ahead of time and pick up. Ladies are always so sweet while placing order and when you walk in. Guess where I'm picking up dinner from tonight? With an ensalada drink to go. I'm on a mission to find the best Salvi breakfast in the valley. Being Salvadorean, I love me some Salvi huevos rancheros. There is a difference between the Mexican huevos rancheros and the Salvi ones. Mexican style has hot salsa poured over a couple of over easy eggs. Salvi style has a special tomato salsa, made with tomato, onions, bellpeppes, salt and pepper. It is not spicy, but it mixes well with the over easy eggs. Most of the places I go to overcook the eggs. I hate that. If I wanted hard boiled yolk, I would get a hard boiled egg. Yuck! This place was pretty good. They gave me the eggs just the way I like them, the tomato sauce was pefect, the plate comes with a side of refried beans, tortillas, and I believe cheese. I don't quite remember if I ordered that on the side. I also ordered yucca con chicharon, which is yucca root, deep fried pork, and salvi curtido which is sort of like kimchi. Excellent, it comes garnished with tomato, cucumber and radishes. This is definitely the place to go for my salvi breakfast. It's located in pacoima, family owned and full of salvis. read more

Good Papusas. pretty sure it's Spanish speaking only restaurant so just know that. Not sure if the papusas are really $1 on Wednesdays as is painted on the wall outside of the building. I was charged $2.25 per papusa and my spanish is not good enough to explain that the ad says $1 and the receipt say 2.25. Other than that the food and drinks were good. Would definitely say this place has the best papusas I have ever had. However, depending on what's inside the papusa the sizes may very.
