Pupusas and plátanos fritos con crema y frijoles
    Elias G.

Nice spot in a small strip mall in NoHo. Have been here twice for lunch on a weekday. Have had the same waitress/server both visits and her service is excellent. I only came for the pupusas which are big and well stuffed. Total was about $35 for 4 pupusas, order of plátanos fritos and two aguas. Parking may be an issue depending on day/time you visit. It's also in a slightly shady neighborhood but mostly safe.

The reviews on here don't do this place justice. I haven't had good Salvadoran food since I lived in Huntington park. Great ambiance...a ton of tables and seats in the restaurant. They have a decent sized parking lot, which they do share with other businesses. The food is authentic Salvadoran food, and my favorite being pupusas. They make them HUGE, so ordering one would fill you up! I also ordered a bomb michelada and I was satisfied. If you live in north Hollywood and haven't tried Salvadoran food yet, this is the spot to go!

Today I wanted to enjoy some delicious Salvadoran food and the waitress taking the phone order was rude and when I tried placing the order didn't seem she wanted customers to eat at the establishment. She let us know it was a 45 minute wait. I told her it was fine. She still insisted it was a long wait. I still told her we were going to eat here. When we arrived she was not helping the other waitress. There were 4 tables not cleaned. Food arrived and it's missing the guacamole and missing the tortillas. The soup is not the same as it was 1 year ago. The waitress seem to ask like they don't want you to eat here. The ambience has changed and it seem as to bother them when you ask them for utensil.

I keep coming back for the pupusas here. Revueltas are my favorite! I tried the pollo frito and that was delicious.

The scallop aguachiles were incredibly fresh, bright, and beautifully balanced. The chicken wings were perfectly crispy with amazing flavor, and the branzino was cooked to perfection--tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Our server was professional, attentive, and knowledgeable, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. We were also excited to see the new wine list, which offers some excellent selections and pairs beautifully with the menu. Hearth has consistently delivered exceptional food, service, and atmosphere over the years. During lunch their atmosphere is very calm and light. With natural tones, skylights, and nice background noise. It was still easy to talk without raising our voices but there was always a nice humm of noise around us. The service was perfect with the waiter coming quickly to take our drink, appetizer and pizza order as well as getting us water right off the bat. Everyone was so nice it felt like we were all friends. The food was awesome. We got the chicken wings, bread and butter, and mushroom pizza. The bread was fresh out of the oven with a little black char. The butter was fresh with herbs and garlic it seemed. The chicken wings were breaded fried and tossed with dry rub. They were also amazing with their ranch that had just the right amount of dill in it so it was still a proper ranch. (Some places just taste like dill sauce at this point.) The mushroom pizza stood alone as a great pizza and was even better for us dipped into that ranch. Overall I wish we had a Hearth in the San Fernando Valley but this was worth coming to moorpark to try this amazing food. I will definitely be bringing more friends and family back soon!

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

There's a counter area where you can see the menu and place your order. I also saw that they had sweet plantains on their menu, so I got an order of that as well. The total came out to around $40 which is amazing for the quality of the food, as well as the portion size.
