I had heard about him from others and I think I had interacted with him previously, but I don't know for certain. Anyway, I told Tom what I was looking for, how I played and my age. Given my age and stated afflictions, he made a decision. Unfortunately, it was not a good decision. For my age, I am healthy and rather mobile. We went through a number of heads and shafts and he decided that these were the best for me. So I ordered them and they arrived and they didn't work at all for me. So I went back and explained and Tom says no problem let's try these instead. What he showed me were clubs that he plays with. And he let me play with his personal clubs, several times. I discovered that I like what his clubs hit like but needed a bit more stability. I played with steel shafts and graphite was always to light and iffy with me. So I reordered clubs (apex150 vs apex 300, the original clubs) and when they came with steel shafts, it was like the heavens opened up. Today, I got my first hole in one with a 7 iron, 145 yards over a bunker at the third hole at Silverbell. I have been playing with these clubs for about 4 weeks. Tom highly recommended the Callaway Opus SP wedges. He suggested a configuration that seemed difficult to get. So I went for 2 other Opus Sp wedges (52 and 58 S Grind) and they performed amazingly. I am 72 years old and play to about a 10 handicap. Since I am not competitive and hate watching people spend 5 minutes over their shot and only then to shank it, I play what ever holes are available. I would highly recommend Van's to people as they (Van's) are not always perfect, but they will always make it right for you. I have dealt with Tom, Carson and Gary and they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

I bought a set of Taylor Made Rac irons from Vans some years ago. Before you could even do a review…read moreonline. The set came with fiberglass shafts, and I figured they would work out for me. However, because I am a very high-speed swinger, after a couple times out on the driving range I was horrified to realize my shafts were starting to shatter. The mid iron clubs 5 thru 7 had all become shattered mid shaft. I was pretty upset once I noticed this and after just dropping hundreds on the clubs. I contacted Vans right away and told them of my issue. The guy at the time said, "bring them in and we'll swap them out for steel shaft set." I asked what the cost would be, and he told me "No charge" "Free". I took the old clubs in and he handed me a brand-new set with steel shafts. Sorry but, No one does this. I still have those same Rac irons today and just shot a 4 under on the front nine at Ventana with them. I will always use Vans for all my golfing needs because of this as I have never forgotten my experience. Thank you for being such an upstanding business and guaranteeing your golf gear.

I called the PGA TOUR Superstore/Tucson after the round and asked what the return policy was. I was told that since I had worn them, that I was out of luck, which didn't necessarily surprise me. I commented to the PGA employee that it was unfortunate that I was stuck with a $120 pair shoes, which were now of no value to me, and she laughed for a prolonged period of time. I was not at all amused with that, so I started to politely ask her what she thought was so funny, and she hung up on me. (In all fairness, I'm not sure she heard me asking that question, but she failed to even say goodbye.) You won't miss my business PGA TOUR Superstore. That was the first and will be the last time I step inside your store.

After 1 week of having the clubs, he did not like them so he went to return them for another set. The manager told him that if he can't hit with those clubs, then he" might as well quit golf and take up tennis instead" and gave him a hard time about returning the clubs despite the 90 day return policy. Rude. That was 6 years ago and we hadn't been back since. Fast forward to now. My dad spent $1750 on brand new Rocket Ball golf clubs. The set was supposed to include an adjustment wrench for the driver, but when he got home it wasn't there. So, he went back to the store to ask for it since it was supposed to be included. One of the employees was incredibly rude saying that my dad was just trying to con them out of money. He said paperwork would have to be filled out and that he would have to do a complete inventory of the store to see if there was possibly 1 extra wrench that "might have been his". He gave my dad a really hard time about it. The wrench is $40 on its own and my dad just spent $1750 on a set that was supposed to include it, but apparently this idiot employee thought my dad was trying to scam him. Anyways, my dad sees the guy who sold him the clubs and tells him the story and that saleman runs to the back, grabs a wrench, and apologizes for the hassle. The other employee was left stunned, still trying to fill out paperwork. While this store does have at least 1 good employee, the other employees are a bunch of idiots. Don't waste your time here.

The ends were not a standard 2 inch. So I came back yesterday to find a solution. He asked me to trade in the Bar in question , gave me a 60 pct credit on original purchase price , I bought another used curl bar with a military Discount with the stops included. So a better bar , complete for Less net $$ than new collars on EBay. And I could make sure it all fit. He said he would deal with the other bar and figure out a way to make it right later on. For me, this was great service I Highly recommend coming here for used and new discounted sports equipment.

Not only was it cheaper at Big 5 but they were helpful and I was happy to support a local in-person business rather than Amazon or another online retailer. I think I got a better quality item at Big 5 for approximately 60% of what it cost through Amazon so I was very pleased! Not only did they have sporting goods stuff but also shoes, slippers, clothing, pool toys, and even some little plushie toys. I've become too accustomed to ordering stuff online but this was a nice reminder of the importance and convenience of having local brick & mortar stores too!

I'm currently taking lessons with Corey and decided to write this because of how much much value and improvement I'm seeing as I work with him. Corey is friendly and easy to work with. My favorite part of his instruction methodology is that he combines his experience with TrackMan data. I personally really value the combined experience and knowledge + data driven approach. Everytime I have a lesson with Corey I walk away with personalized notes from him and a plan that helps me further practice and instill what we covered. I'm continuously motivated by the incremental growth I'm seeing. Basically, I'd recommend him to anyone looking to learn and improve.
