They had a large variety of used equipment and also new equipment. I was looking at disc's for disc golf golf. They had a wide variety to choose from. This place is simply beyond disappointing. Most of the weights and exercise equipment is all new, and the prices are high. Their selection of used weights is disappointing, they don't bother to wipe them down or remove any of the rust. As someone who is passionate about fitness, and how weights and hard work can change lives, I can't stand this place. This is the Bookman's of sporting goods. They take trade-ins on sporting equipment and sell used and new stuff. This store at Oracle and Magee is somewhat on the smaller size, but it doesn't feel cramped for what they do and have. My visit on this occasion was to check out their disc golf inventory. This review's rating is purely for that experience. A friend told me they had used ones, but I didn't know they had new ones as well. They carry both major brands, Discraft and Innova as well as a smattering of a few other minor brands. Large selection of putters/approach discs, mid range, and drivers to choose from. They also have a nice selection of disc bags as well. The Speedway location does not carry Discraft. Or so they said on the phone. Depending on their condition, you can trade in discs for store credit. Today, I traded in two discs that I hardly used and two that I barely used. I got $3 a piece for the former and $2 for the latter and got $10 store credit. I walked out with a new disc for $5. I could have gotten the same model but in different plastic and walked out with a new disc plus still have $1 store credit, but I figured I'd give this plastic and weight class a try. As far as other equipment in general, I think that the prices are not all that competitive. For example, in perusing I saw a pair of Bowflex SelectTech dumbells "on sale" for $299. I think they were new. A few minutes later at SportsAuthority, I saw the same pair, only new on sale for $179. There two other Play It Again Sports in town, one on Speedway and one on Broadway, but all are independently owned. read more

On June 26 I purchased a new speed bag. Today I brought it back due to a manufacture's defect. The seam split at the neck. Buyer Beware...the clerks told me I would have to send it back to the manufacturer. Play It Again Sports does not refund or replace a new item that is under manufacturer warranty. The bag cost me $22.99. To return it to the manufacturer paying postage and my time...just not worth it. Now I have to wonder the next time I have to purchase sports equipment, will I go to Play It Again Sports or some where they have a better return policy, paying a bit more? read more

I had a great experience at Play It Again Sports in Oro Valley. Tyler and Taylor :) were both very knowledgable about the equipment in the store. I was looking for a treadmill and both of these guys knew a great deal about the different models they had. I was pleasantly surprised. They were polite, helpful, and attentive. Tyler worked with me once I decided to purchase; he and Tyler even loaded the Treadmill into the car for my sister and I. I shopped at three different Play It Again Sports locations in Tucson, and this location was superior to the others, especially in terms of customer service, and to me that's very important!! Play Ball!! The guys at Play It Again Sports in Northwest Tucson will take great care of you! When you go into the store you should ask for either Alex or Tyler. Both showed a level of customer service that was outstanding and like a home-run!! They even provide great customer service over the phone. Play It Again Sports will purchase your used sports equipment and/or they have a great selection of equipment for you to chose from when you want to purchase something. Recently I did two transactions with them and both Alex and Tyler helped take of everything and personally delivered my new equipment and did a pickup of my old equipment. Give this store a call first even if it is further from you location wise... they have provided the best service out of any Play It Again Sports, I've interacted with before. read more

Not ever going to support this retailer of disc golf discs. Went in on a Sunday to compare my Innova F2's to genuine discs. Asked for and received use of a flat surface to compare discs (south of retail counter...). Did verify F2's were same as genuine and decided to purchase duplicates. Last disc (Leopard F2) left on counter while I went back to get a Leopard3. When I returned the disc was gone. Store personnel had removed disc and set up baseball mitts on flat surface. I asked if they had seen disc. Answer was "No." I went back to discs display area to "search" but really only to give clerks time to find and produce disc. Returned to find answer was "Didn't see it." Clerk(s) never produced disc so I left name/number. Called today to see if found. Rafael says, "No." Told him that I left disc on counter and store clerk moved disc. (I didn't lose it and the store clerk misplaced my disc to make room for mitts...) Rafael kept interrupting me (3 Times...) as I tried to tell him what happened. Wouldn't listen to me. Finally claimed he had to deal with another customer (Yeah...right 0_o) and put me on hold without my permission. I am never going to support this store again or recommend it to others. These people do have golf discs but they're not knowledgeable as well as being HOSTILE to disc golfers. Better off to order/buy from venders online like Innova Factory Store. read more

Great service here, with a knowledgeable and helpful staff. A very wide range of sporting goods of all kinds packed into the store, and a pretty good selection overall. Plenty of parking nearby too, so it was much easier for me to park my truck nearby to pick up some weights than at some other locations in town that I couldn't even figure out how to park at(I get flustered in traffic easily!) My main interest is weights, and this store in particular has a great selection of plates, all kinds of dumbbells(fixed and selectable), and even a comprehensive selection of kettle bells. Really, if you want weights, you'd have to be crazy not to stop by Play It Again first. And unless you're just crazy rich and want the hottest-uber-elite stuff available, it should probably be your first stop for other quality exercise and sporting gear. I'm now broke again, but I'll quite likely be back for more later, if I can manage to stay employed :) read more

"Play it again sports"posted an ad for a bike yesterday On CL, I called and I was told I had been one of multiple callers but I was offered the opportunity to have bike put on hold under my name . I told them I would come and see it this morning , I got there this morning and they allowed someone to take it out for a test spin and they sold it to that person, sales guy tried to tell me that they don't have a system on how to track a hold bike other then a piece of paper , so needless to say not very happy with these guys , I get it there in the business to make money but I drove across town to come purchase this,looks like a bunch of teenagers Hanging out and probably sold it to one of their buddies.... read more
