    Calzone
    Robbie G.

Ordered a calzone it's pretty consistent to other chain gondolier restaurants, I do love the sauce and the dough of gondoliers but the calzone had all the ingredients shoved in the middle and way too much ricotta.. still good and was cooked well and quick. The service there is ok I will be back

It smelled like someone tossed 2 fart bombs last time I ate there. Rotten and disgusting smell.

We went on a Monday night and it was pretty crowded but we were seated quickly. They give each table a big plate of bread with butter, which was delicious and a nice treat. I ordered the arancini to start with. I love arancini, and so many restaurants in Atlanta put meat in them. These were SO good, maybe my favorite arancini that I've had recently. Good ratio of risotto to cheese and nice and crispy. The sauce that came with them was really good too. I wish you got more for the cost, but it was comparable to every restaurant. I ordered the Pomodoro al Vegetariana but subbed penne for the spaghetti (just not a fan lol). The pasta was really good and perfectly cooked. The sauce was maybe a little too garlicky? There was a good ratio of pasta to veggies. I don't like mushrooms but they blended in enough that I could eat them. My gf got the Penne Toscana because she's allergic to garlic, so this was one of the few things she could eat. (Side note, one of the other local Italian restaurants we called basically said there was nothing she'd be able to eat there.) Some of the artichoke pieces were really chewy and the dish was very oily, otherwise she enjoyed it. The inside is very nice, cozy and not stuffy. Our waitress was super sweet.

The wine was good, the food was tasty, the staff were friendly and attentive, the setting was comfortable and enjoyable. Really enjoyed co-owner Jake stopping by for a discourse on wine and music and the correlation between the two. The guy is knowledgeable and welcoming. He must be swamped but takes a few minutes to talk vino with guests. The wife and I appreciated that. I definitely recommend this place for a classy Italian meal.

When we entered we were greeted right away and welcomed in. My husband placed our order at the counter while I found us a table. The food took quite a while to arrive as there looked to be one lady cooking and running the food. She was doing a great job. The restaurant started filling up but she kept a smile on her face. The food: I ordered the pasta with meatballs. The meatballs were moist, the pasta sauce was very bland. I wouldn't order it again. My husband ordered the grilled cheese sandwich and loved the multiple cheeses along with Italian seasons. He also enjoyed the meatball sliders. His only complaint was that the sliders didn't come with sauce on them. He loves sliders with cheese and extra sauce. He ended up building the slider and enjoyed it. The pasta salad was amazing- one of the best either of us have had! Kudos here. This shop also has ice cream by the scoop which is a fun addition. We didn't get any this time but will remember next time we have our kids with us. Overall the food was average. If you're in the mood for Italian you might give it a try. The table beside us ordered calzones and Stromboli that looked amazing.

2 Star -- My Lawyer Friend and I Are Considering This a Chargeable Offense…read moreIn the legal world, there's a concept called "misrepresentation." My attorney dining companion will tell you it applies here. I've eaten lasagna on three continents. I've never once feared it. Until now. What arrived at our table was, generously speaking, a flat pancake wearing a cheese disguise -- topped with shredded beef that seemed just as confused about its life choices as the chef who plated it. Green? Green. I didn't order a lawn clipping casserole. I ordered lasagna -- the cornerstone dish, the anchor of any Italian menu worth its salt (of which this dish also needed more). Lasagna is not a canvas for creativity. It is a covenant. A sacred agreement between a restaurant and its guests that says: we know what we're doing here. This dish broke that covenant, shredded it, and apparently used it as a garnish. My recommendation? Locate the nearest Italian grandmother. Apologize to her. Take notes. Start over.

Our party of six couldn't have asked for a better evening. I have a very restricted diet due to allergens and almost never eat out because of it but our servers, Tony and Josiah, completely changed that for me. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was safe, thoughtful, and still absolutely delicious. That level of care and attention meant more than I can put into words. The steak was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. And the olive oil... I genuinely wanted to buy a bottle and take it home it was THAT good. Tony and Josiah didn't just provide great service they made the entire night feel easy, special, and memorable for everyone at the table. We felt genuinely taken care of from start to finish. Thank you for making a celebration like this possible for someone who usually has to sit those experiences out. We'll absolutely be back!! This place was one for the books !! :,)

Service was very good and our waiter kept us well attended. The starter of Italian bread and olive oil was fresh and very welcomed as we'd had a light lunch. Perusing the menu, the tagliatelle with wild boar sounded tempting, but when I heard the night's special of cavatelli bolognese I had to try it (the waiter added his approval). It was excellent, with the pasta cooked al dente and a nice, flavorful bolognese sauce; the portion was just right. My wife wasn't terribly hungry so she had a salad as an entree and really enjoyed it. She also tried the espresso martini and it was good though not memorable. Many of the menu prices were closer to what you'd find in a larger city but so was the quality of the food and experience. We will definitely have Ferraro's on our short list of restaurants for our next visit to Blue Ridge...definitely recommended.
