Brown Sugar Boba with pearls( Felix's pick and a mini poster of Felix)
    Camilla V.

Ever since Gong Cha took out their Felix promotion, I have been trying to taste all his favorite picks and get some of his merchandise. I ordered his pick for the Brown Sugar Boba with pearls. It was just the right sweetness and definitely lived up to my expectations. The service was very friendly and helpful. The place inside is very cute and definitely provides that boba vibe. I am excited to come back here for more delicious drinks. And I will keep a lookout for more new promotions.

Gong Cha is always a staple of mine whenever I am looking for boba and they happened to have a convenient location near shopping and some good restaurants. Note: Gong Cha locations use a non-dairy creamer but beware, these almost always still contain whey which is a dairy derivative. It's a common misnomer so always ask for non-dairy milk if you are vegan like myself or adverse to dairy products/have an allergy. In order to get a non-dairy drink, I was told to order from the Fresh Milk Menu. I did so with my Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Oat Milk and it was satisfying overall. It is indeed quite sweet even with 50% sugar so I'd advise to go even less if you aren't wanting a completely sweet drink. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Brown Sugar Earl Gray and Pearl Milk Tea

I've been coming here multiple times and they are consistently good. They have so many drink options so I love coming back to try new drinks. The drinks we got this time were the Brown Sugar Earl Grey (which I've never heard of before) and the regular Pearl Milk tea. These were both perfect sweetness and had the right amount of toppings! Parking can be tricky here since there are so many stores around it. I do like how you can order with the workers or through the self serve kiosks. The staff were friendly too!

Finally!! A Gong Cha so close that I could get to it anytime of the day or week that I crave boba! We love gong cha - especially the mango milk tea, which is our absolute favorite. Love how you can taste the bits of mango in every sip. Like all the other gong Cha's, they serve up good quality and authentic tea. The staff is efficient and nice. Sometimes they don't answer the phone but they are really good about texting you and answering any questions you have. They now have an app that we have been enjoying so that we can preorder and it's there when we arrive. Really convenient and they are running promos on it now. Sign up for their emails to keep up to date on their other promos. Love how it's near target, a Filipino grocery store, AND charging station so I can shop, drink and charge all in one trip! Of special note is that they currently have a promo bogo happy hour mon-th 1:30-3pm! Looks like I'll be coming a bit more!

DANGEROUS NUTRITIONAL MISINFORMATION! Two times now I have gone to this location and they always describe their milk powder as "plant based" when in fact, it is not plant based at all. Since I have a dairy allergy I always ask boba places what their vegan options are. The employees at gong cha keep saying, "Our milk powder is plant based which means it's vegan". This is dangerous since their milk powder actually has whey powder in it. Whey is dairy. Dairy comes from cows. So yeah, not plant based. I ask them to double check the ingredients and sure enough, they see that there is whey in there. If someone were to just take their word that their powder is plant based, they could get very sick or have a bad allergic reaction. Please, managers at this location, do something about this. Who knows how many people have been wrongly served a drink with dairy in it.

Wanted to catch the BOGO promotion posted on this Yelp Gung Cha info. Which is written from 1:30-3:00pm M-Thurs. unfortunately, despite me showing them the posted special, the manager just kept saying "Sorry we ended this promotion" several times. Very disappointed that this woman owned business doesn't stay accountable for the things they post.

Small place with a few tables to sit down. Maybe only enough it fit 10-12 ppl in total. I usually order something off the menu but I was feeling some ice cream and pudding due to craving something sweet. 3/5 - black tea with egg pudding and ice cream - Black tea was quite strong so I liked that however there was little to no ice cream in the drink despite I paid extra for. The egg pudding was decent tho.

Came here specifically for the gingerbread bottles, but their drinks are usually really good. I went right when the opened. Friendly staff, greeted us right away and told us the wait would be about 15 minutes for the boba. Strawberry milk tea with milk foam & boba: Everything about this drink was perfect! Tastes good with the foam. Boba was chewy and sweet. Taro milk tea with milk foam: Really good without the foam. It tastes kind of like the sweet corn chips. Can taste the taro and bits. :( Also, why did you put the sticker right in the front of the bottle? Tried to take it off before it dried, but didn't work.

Milk Foam Wintermelon Drink & Wintermelon with Fresh Milk
    Alisa B.

You can't go wrong with a Wintermelon Drink from Gong Cha! Fresh milk, half sweet, and less ice is my perfect order. A medium size for less than $5? Pretty good! This is also a decaffeinated drink, which is great for kids and late-night boba runs (they close at 9 PM). This was my go-to boba chain while in college, so I'm happy to see this location open up. Their prices are fair and the baristas work quickly. My order was prepared in just a minute!

Went to Gong cha to get my sister in law her Snoopy cup and got myself a classic milk tea with creama.the drink was smooth and sweet. I might get less sugar next time because it's more on the sweeter side. Milk Foam Black Tea

Gong Cha opened where Subway once was. Small location easily missed. it's next to Starbucks. seating along both walls inside. known initially for their "foam tea", Gong Cha has broaden their offerings... offerings: smoothie, sparkling, snacks, milk foam, creative mix, fresh milk, brewed tea, milk tea... drink: star Jelly grapefruit green tea (L. 6.25) 25% sugar 30% ice -gong cha doesn't make any "fruit tea" per se. instead, their "creative mix" is a blend of fruit juices, teas, ice cream, and jellies. -the grapefruit juice overwhelmed the green tea, drink essentially a tart & sweet juice concoction. -star jelly is a star shaped jelly that's slightly sweet. *fruit tea is way tastier and healthier than any "creative mix".

Are there milk alternatives such as Oatmilk or Soymilk?

We do offer oat milk as an alternative. The creamer we use in our milk tea is also dairy free!

Was so glad that she was able to open up her own bakery/cafe to feature these and additional Asian-inspired desserts for the Bay Area to try! MACARONS. I've been a fan of these Macarons for years, and what first drew me in was their adorable themed designs for holidays and special occasions like Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. While their character macarons and classic rounds are super cute, what keeps me coming back is that they actually taste amazing. There's nothing worse than biting into a beautiful macaron only to find it's dry, but that's definitely not the case here. Their macarons are consistently moist, flavorful, and fresh, with the perfect texture every time. It's the best of both worlds--beautiful designs that are almost too cute to eat and quality that lives up to the hype! JAPANESE SOUFFLE CHEESECAKE. My first Japanese soufflé cheesecake experience was from a commercial chain, and while it was light and fluffy, it doesn't compare to Always Yours Bakery Cafe. Their cheesecakes are THIQ in the best way possible--rich, dense, creamy, and still have that perfect jiggle. My absolute favorite flavor is the Ube! Ever since discovering them, I'd much rather order a whole cheesecake from here than pick up a standard birthday cake from the grocery store. It's always a crowd-pleaser! DRINKS. I'm def a matcha gworrrrl so I had to try as many flavors as I could! They have pistachio, banana cream, strawberry, and creme brûlée. What really stole my heart was the Earl Grey Creme Brûlée Milk Tea! "Creamy earl grey tea with your choice of milk, topped with our housemade salted cheese cream, torched sugar, and creme brûlée pudding." It's def a unique combo I haven't came across any other milk tea shop yet til here, and given that it's a bakery, I figured their creme brûlée would be amazing--and it FASHO IS! I recommend it with oatmilk and less sweetness to help balance all the flavors. _______________________________________________________ --- S E R V I C E --- The staff is always so friendly and accommodating, and you can tell they truly care about their customers and the quality of what they serve. When you first walk in, you're greeted by a display case filled with beautiful desserts, and I definitely recommend taking a look at the other treats on the menu besides the cheesecakes. There's even a claw machine filled with adorable boba plushies that adds a fun touch to the space. The dining area is small but thoughtfully designed, with marble-inspired walls, pops of greenery from the plants, and a purple neon sign that ties everything together. It has cozy, trendy café vibes and is the perfect spot to relax, catch up with friends, or enjoy a sweet treat. _______________________________________________________ Be sure to check out their page for events! Not only are you able to purchase from their bakery case, you can also request to have desserts made for special events! (In advance of course.) I very much enjoy their macarons and fresh fruit tarts. They also added Banana Matcha to their menu when it became a craze, and I 10/10 would recommend it. They use high quality matcha powder (Marukyu Koyamaen) for their drinks. This is one of the few things that drew me into their cafe. The baristas are extremely friendly and have a wonderful sense of humor, AND they support small businesses! While you wait for your order, you can browse their shelf full of crystal candies, matcha sets, candles, and they may also have Natsume matcha tins available! (This is not the matcha they use in their drinks, but it's nice to have other options available to buy.) ^^ So if you're in the East Bay and are looking for a business to support, go to Always Yours Bakery Cafe (they're also available on the Too Good To Go app)! They made my day better after interacting with her. I ordered a drink for my wife and she decided i didn't order it correctly so I asked if they can change the order. I was expecting them to do it if I asked but she was so kind. She offered me to keep the first drink and remade a new one for me with a huge smile. Excellent customer experience save. The drinks are also excellent and I really liked the taro drink with fresh taro. It'll be nice with even a little more taro or taro paste. Wish we could choose sugar level but nothing seems overly sweet here. Only complaint is that the drink lids ripe every time you insert a straw. They need nicer plastic lids. Everything is sweetened at 50% so you can gauge what you may like in your own drink. I've been coming to this teaspoon since they took over the Quickly that occupied this space. Let me say this was one of the best things to happen to this area. This particular teaspoon sets the standard high on efficiency and quality of their products. I can't remember ever saying my drink tasted wrong or took too long to make. The workers are always on top of their game. You can also save some time and order online through doordash. They're usually very quick with online orders. We usually get either the lychee on lychee, peach oolong or the guava sunset. As mentioned, their drinks lean on the sweeter side even at 50% so if you want something more light definitely opt for 25% sweetness and less ice. For fruitier drinks I usually opt for crystal boba but honey boba works too if you want a chewier texture. Overall can't wait to be back and highly recommend.
