A perfect addition to a mild food desert in the Hayward hills. Poke tea offers poke bowls, sushi, soups, other snacks, and various boba beverages. Was looking for a quick dinner on my way up to a pet sitting gig, and was pleasantly to find this new casual eatery. I went with a 3 scoop poke bowl and a cumber salad. Cucumber salad has a nice dressing and was just the right level of spice. The poke scoops were a little on the smaller side, but they make up for it with the variety of mixins and tasty toppings available. I'll def revisit since I just moved to the area, and I look forward to tasting around their beverage menu as well. read more

Such a great neighborhood spot! I'm so happy to have a place like PokéTea nearby! I ordered the poke bowl and crispy chicken, and everything was so fresh and delicious. The fish in the poke bowl was super fresh, and all the toppings and ingredients tasted great. The crispy chicken was so flavorful, crispy, and saucy! The drinks were also refreshing and delicious, especially the mango drink! Everything was fresh, tasty, and satisfying, and I love the cute, casual neighborhood vibe. Saw an ad on IG that this business opened in Hayward near Cal State East Bay, so I decided to stop by to check it out since they had a BOGO deal for drinks happening that weekend. Interesting that this place had both poke and bubble tea. I ordered a milk tea and a fruit tea and it did costs $.75 more because the drinks weren't the same. I loved the flavors for both drinks, but the teas were definitely on the stronger side. I think it's because I'm not used to caffeine. So happy this place opened up. We ordered a poke bowl and sushiritto and the fish was pretty fresh. The jasmine milk tea was really good, light and refreshing. This place is delicious. Very clean and the ladies that work there are very nice and friendly. Service was fast. I ordered the Spicy Tuna Inari and a Brown Sugar Boba Milk tea w/o ice or boba. They didn't charge me extra for the no ice. It was refreshing and yummy. The Spicy Tuna Inari had 4 pieces and they were loaded. The spice level had a good flavor and kick but not overpowering. I want to start this review by saying that while my overall rating for this place is a 3/5, the poke is definitely closer 4ish out of 5 and the tea itself is closer to a 2.5star. The poke bowls are a great price! The fish is fresh, the sauces delicious, and they don't skimp on the ingredients. I got the medium sized bowl and couldn't even finish it! Would recommend this to anyone looking for poke closer to CSUEB. Meanwhile their tea... I'm going to be honest and say I've tried their tea 4 different times before writing this review, because I was hoping for the not so good tea to just be a one off or bad day. Evidently the very first time I had it when it was good was the one off. Unfortunately since then every boba drink I've gotten from here has been either super watery or tasted bitter like the tea has been oversteeped. I do think I'll be back to try the ice cream and other food dishes on their menu though. The workers are all very kind and quick to answer any questions you might have which is great. And it seems like a cute hang out spot if you wanted to grab a bite with a friend or maybe study a little as they do have multiple tables and some stools by the windows as well. read more

First off, the service was terrible. The woman who took our order was rude and rushed us through the entire process. We barely had a chance to look over the menu before she was already moving on to the next step, often cutting us off before we could finish speaking. It made for a very unpleasant first impression. Second, this is not your typical poke bowl. It was essentially plain fish and toppings tossed together over a bed of soggy rice. To make matters worse, the cilantro in one of our bowls was almost entirely stems and the mangos were soft and mushy. Overall, the experience was disappointing from both a service and food standpoint. I wouldn't come back or recommend this place. They should stick to the tea and ice cream. read more

Their prices are more than fair for the serving size and the quality is great. I went to Poke Tea that is tucked away in a strip mall with my niece and nephew. The store is very well lit, ventilated, and clean. The staff is very friendly and inviting and courteous. They accept card payment. The choice of ice cream is good, not too many cause the kids can get confused ...just the right number of flavors. We tried the French vanilla, the mint chocolate chip and the almond pistachio. My niece and nephew liked what we ordered. We had it in a waffle cone. There are enough tables to sit at, very clean. They have a hand sanitizer by the napkins, what a blessing if a kid spills something! Must go and give it a try for the bowls too! I recommend the ice creams. More in my next update. read more

Been craving poke for sooooo long I glad this place is open fairly close to my job food is good thank you I'll be coming back again.

The employees were very kind and explained the current promotion happening. The cafe itself was very clean and inviting. They had a few board games there too, which you don't see often in boba tea/poke cafes. You can order with the employee or if they're too busy, the self serve kiosk. I ordered two brown sugar milk tea bobas, a spicy salmon burrito, and a spicy salmon poke bowl. The cups for the boba are very secure and held the liquid as I drove home. Very good! They have small caps to them so you can take that off and put it back on as you please. The drink was delicious. I asked for 50% sweetness and less ice, and it was made exactly to order. The sushi burrito was made and then cut in two and placed into a small container. It was delicious. The only thing I took issue with was how the ingredients didn't seem to be evenly distributed (most of the fish was found at the ends) but that may have been from the drive home. There was a lot of greens vs proteins, which was fine, but to compare it to the likes of Sunfish Poke in Fremont, it felt small for the price. The poke bowl was exactly as ordered.. except it did have a small hair in it unfortunately, which is why I docked a star off my review. The compostable bowl that it comes with means that if it's too wet, your food will stick haphazardly to the bottom. It also has small divets in the bowl where food can hide in. Overall the poke bowl was fantastic. Fresh ingredients and an interesting spicy salmon mix. I think if I happen to make it into Hayward again, I will go out of my way to drive up to order from here again. read more

It is new. I went there a couple of times to get drinks. I got milk tea once and another time got a passion fruit tea which both tasted pretty good, not too sweet and with real tea taste. I just tried their poke plate, the ingredients were fresh and tasty, and ordered beef rice bowl, a little dry though, but the taste is decent. I always think that neighborhood mall needs a good fast food place for the household up on the hill. I recommend Poke Tea. read more
