The floors were in really rough shape. Some had been covered with glue. Some had sticky backing from parquet tiles. There were very poor repairs made in the past with wood that didn't match the size of the original. There were thousands of nail and staple holes. We were really skeptical they could be brought back. Scott was an amazing guide through the process and possessed great confidence about what could be done. He was able to schedule the work pretty quickly. The team he sent, Al and Luis, did a fantastic job bringing these floors back to life. And the cost was reasonable for what we got.

Although I'm not a fan of faux wood, the real wood options are just too expensive now. Removing the carpet presented some challenging problems (walls built on top of the carpet edges and carpet glued to stairs). And there were unexpected bad subfloor issues that Mark had to deal with. Mark also recommended replacing all the mismatched baseboards for a uniform look and I am so glad he did. The end result....floors and baseboards... was much better than I anticipated. And the additional charges for unanticipated additional time were very fair. The positive reviews for Golden Oak Flooring are well deserved.

He knew his stuff, addressed our concerns/wishes, and was able to install new LVP over where existing carpet was without quarter rounds. Additionally, I had another room right outside of our living area where I did not want a transition piece and wanted the LVP's to run seamlessly - he could do that also. Others could not. I also needed the stairs done in matching LVP to tie in the existing LVP and then install on the entire bottom floor. No problem. This was a new house we had not moved into, pending new flooring, and although they were more than a month out, Kerry found time move up the schedule by more than a week - which helped tremendously. Fast forward to the work. Tony, the lead installer showed up. For starters, super friendly, walked the job - and there were some intricacies with the job. These guys are good. Extremely clean, very efficient, and did flawless work. I will post photos later of the stairs. After the job was complete, my wife noticed some small issues that had everything to do with our slab floors vs their workmanship. She mentioned to Karen, and maybe a few hours later, Kerry called me (he did not have her phone #), and told me he would address it. Cheryl called maybe the next say and scheduled the fix. I was thinking maybe an hour or so on a Saturday morning, but didn't realize they were going to pull a significant portion of the floor, as well as baseboards, and apply self leveling concrete and level out the floor. It took almost a complete day. I need to mention that Tony and crew came out again and Tony is so meticulous and noticed things that you may not. A perfectionist for sure. Tell me what other flooring companies would do that? I appreciate the above and beyond so much. So professional, so efficient, perfect job and just great people.
