A friend kept telling me to come here and I was unsure if I wanted to come or not. Because they didn't have many reviews. But then I wanted to try this place before it gets crazy busy and noticeable. And I'm truly glad and thankful I came and tried it out. This location is a hidden gem within the city of Orange. I encourage everyone to try this place before it gets notice. It's nice and cozy. The restaurant is family owned and they are super friendly with all their customers. During my stay here I noticed the owner/cook took the time to address their customers. And knew them on a first name bases. That is my goal here so that they know me personally. The place is a little dry because they barely opened and beginning to put everything up. But I'm glad they do have two flat screens so guest can be entertained. This locations has 9 tables to sit down and relax. What is best is that they have air conditioning. Now sure if they have restrooms for guests because I didn't see any as I walked in, nevertheless this shouldn't stop anyone from coming and trying it out. Tacos were amazing and the agua de piña was so refreshing. That drink can be hit or miss but they nailed it! My bf got the pastor burrito, a pastor taco, and a crunchy beef taco. He was stuffed after the huge burrito but loved the food so much he finished the tacos too! We both cleared our plates so that tells you their food is bomb. This place serves big portioned family style honest cooking. I had the two meat burrito in carne asada and pastor in green salsa. Do yourself a favor and get the sour cream and cheese on top. It's a flavor explosion to your palate. This bad boy comes wrapped with ice and beans as well. The only downside I felt was that the meats were too little. Rice and beans definitely over powered them. In a 2 meat combo burrito, I would like to taste meat in every bite. But I had to dig around half way thru to find the proteins. Serious appreciation for the exemplary customer service by Ana and the phenomenal camarones a la diabla prepared by Max. I love this spot, it's calm, clean, and reasonably priced. The food itself is a must try in Orange, they clean and peel the shrimp! So many places don't do that and I don't even want to eat them if they aren't peeled and cleaned. My family and I have been coming here ever since they opened, and the quality of food and service is still just as amazing as our first time dinning here. That should tell you that regardless of what is going on behind the kitchen they put the customer needs first in serving the absolute best! The quality of the food is soo good and delicious! My family and I have tried a variety of plates in the menu and they are all delicious! In addition they can accommodate any plate if you want (preference/health concerns). Pricing is fair. It can range from cheap to some plates being more on the pricier side, but it is all worth the $$ because each plate is delicious as well as their drinks! This place always makes my family and I feel like at home and as part of the family. The restaurant never disappoints! On the contrary the food served here is done with such great love, passion, and respect for the Mexican culture. As far as the dish is concerned I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas which were great tasting. Could have used a slightly more chicken but overall great flavor. My son ordered the Asada tacos plain with fries. It's a good portion for a toddler but found the meat to be too "fatty." It's not flap or skirt steak but more of a fatty possibly chuck steak. It is hidden somewhat back in a strip mall and we had to go around the block when we missed it the first time. But it was worth the extra driving! I ordered the Cochinita Pibil, Al Pastor, Carnitas and Asada. My favorites were the Cochinita and Al Pastor because the meat is packed with so much flavor! Super juicy and delicious. I was not a super fan of the other two, simply because they tasted bland. I had to add the green hot sauce to enhance the flavors. I do want to come back to try other items on menu. I appreciated how they verified the order before we hung up too! She said to drive down and the food will be ready and Omgg she was right ! It took about ten mins to drive over and food was ready for pick up. What did we order? 2 carne asada wet burritos and a regular carne asada burrito. They were so good and really hit the spot. Order the wet burrito and make sure you have an appetite on because they were huge!! Like I ate my burrito for 3 meals. We got one with green sauce and the other half wet burrito - which is half red and half green sauce. Best wet burrito I've had - carne asada wet burrito with green sauce, with everything but no beans!! Everyone else loved their orders too.
