My friend and I checked this place out for a unique healthy Korean chicken kind of experience. Now keep in mind, the chicken is oven roasted so it is not the typical Korean fried chicken we are used to. The Goobne chicken is juicy and has good amount of breading. The chicken also had a good amount of sauce. The fries were not the best, they were just dried to the point of dehydration which was quite sad. The cheese balls were alright, nothing special with the taste. Overall Goobne would be a healthy alternative if you're craving Korean fried chicken.

This is a new restaurant, in which a lot of people have said to try. So finally on my day off, I was given a chance to try this place out. They do not disappoint!! This place has a ambience of any chicken restaurant however cleaner and w great service. The food ~~ first the chicken is not oil based chicken. This is a crispy and soft baked chicken. You would think this was fried but no it's been baked crispy. They have other menu items like rose dukkbokki and other dukkbokki's that just melt in your mouth. So does the chicken They even have other seasonal menu items that are coming up but if you have a chance try the noodles. It's been cooked nice and chewy. The sauce and veggies play together so that nothing goes missing. If anyone is in the neighborhood, please try this place out

Great place to get Korean fried chicken and Katy Texas. The service was good, we got the platter which came with three different preselected sauces, and came with fries. The chicken was very juicy, the sauce was good, but not the best sauce I've ever had. Overall, I highly recommend and I would come back.

Unsure how I should rate this because im maybe expecting too much?? Menu items look different than menu photos. Soy garlic was ok but you're not getting kfc from bon chon ok. It does taste healthier but I'm not sure if I am a fan, or if I should come back even. The Korean customers definitely infiltrated this dining space so I'm wondering if it's a hit and maybe i need to be the one adjusting my taste buds???

My friend and I came here to try on the weekend. We had the platter and got to try three flavors and came with fries. Cons -The fries were cold when the platter was served. It was also sweet which I usually don't like, but I thought it was ok. My friend didn't like it though. -I am generally not a fan of sweet sauces, but all the flavors on the platter trended on the sweet side. -The platter took a long time to be served. My friend and I waited for a while. Pros -I did like that we were able to try three different flavors and were able to bring some home togo -The staff was nice and offered to remake the fries, but we declined. They ended up giving us a lot of sauces to try which was nice. The sauces enhanced the flavors of the chicken wings and fries. -Although I am generally not a fan of sweet sauces, but I did like the sweet and spicy flavor the most. My friend like the soy sauce one. We both wanted to try the peppy crispy one but liked others more.

Someone I follow on social media posted from this place so I looked it up. If I see soy garlic chicken on a menu, I'm there! Still in their soft opening so it was not packed but it will be soon enough! The employees were pleasant and helpful. I asked for recommendations and they didn't disappoint. I ordered the medium soy garlic boneless chicken with a side of the seasoned potato wedges to go. The wait wasn't long, about 20 minutes is standard for wings, and they offered me water while I waited. Everything was packed well and even though I made a stop before I got home, everything was still warm. Since I got it to go, the cheese powder for the wedges was given on the side to keep them crispy. The seasoning was great and the chicken also delicious, though a little less crunchy since I didn't eat them right away. The space is decorated in bright orange colors with comfy booths on the sides and tables. I want to go back and try the bone in wings and the pizza too!

From the moment…read moreyou step into the clean, large restaurant, you get greeted by the loveliest Korean ahjummas and are seated at a table next to a TV playing some K-Drama. The menu is big, but every item on it is executed so well. The flavors are comparable to that you'll get in Korea, with the side dishes few but perfect (the kimchi, jjangachi, and radish kimchi). My favorite is the gamjatang---there is so much meat, the potatoes are piping hot, and the soup is perfectly seasoned and rich. The pancakes and blood sausages are also delicious. I love coming here whenever I crave authentic Korean food: everything from the service to the meal itself is top-tier. The prices are also very very reasonable, especially lunch prices! Parking is plentiful and it's right off the freeway. You have to come here for the best Korean food in the area---I drive all the way from the Medical Center to come here, and it never disappoints!

Tasty Ko is located further South of I-10 in an assuming plaza. As soon I stepped into the restaurant, I was hit with delicious aromas of KBBQ and seafood sizzling at the tables. I was in the mood for noodles and so was my friend - we ordered the jjamppong and the jiajiangmein. The broth for the jjamppong was super flavorful and deep with seafood notes. There were plenty of veggies (cabbage) and squid. The shrimp were small and kind of mushy - probably from a frozen bag or just not fresh. I didn't mind though. The serving size of noodles were perfect, and maybe a little bit more than I wanted since I couldn't finish the whole bowl. The jiajiangmein looked equally as delicious - my friend said there was a lot of onion in the sauce. The array of banchan consisted of kimchi, marinated bean sprouts, cold kimchi pancake, and marinated spicy cucumber. Yummy banchan as well. Tasty Ko is a great spot if you're not wanting to drive all the way to the Spring Branch area for Korean food, and not wanting to spend an arm and a leg at Katy Asian Town. Good menu selection for those who either want KBBQ or a la carte classic Korean dishes!

Every single dish was spot-on and the portions were quite generous. If I had to pick, the Japchae, Jajang Myeon, and Spicy Seafood Jjampong Soup were especially memorable. A thick noodle is used for the Japchae which held on to the flavor really well and provided more of a bite. The Jajang Myeon and Soup were absolutely bursting with flavor - bold, rich, and truly satisfying. They perfectly captured the essence of what these dishes should taste like: delivering a home-cooked taste at restaurant quality. As typical of Korean restaurant, every meal comes with an assortment of banchan. The kimchi was perfection and it seems like there are unlimited refills for the banchan. Let's not forget that this is a Pocha! There are lots of drink options and they are open late. This also makes for a great place for large groups and seating ranges from open tables or private booths for those looking for something more private. There is an open stage where I suppose open-mic karaoke used to take place, but as of 01/2025 management has put up signs stating it's currently not in use due to noise complaints from the neighbors. Still, there are plenty of private karaoke rooms to be put to use. This place is a hidden gem - it seems like a well-kept secret tucked away in this little neighborhood. I really hope the place gets more traffic in the future. They really deserve it! Overall really great place to come chill at with friends they've got the food, drinks, and karaoke covered.

The other thing was that our server was way too busy and focused on other table or they were short staffed during afternoon and the place was empty not packed nor busy.
