My friend and I dined in on a Friday night. The atmosphere was lively and inviting. Despite how busy it was, the service was incredible. The staff checked in on us frequently, and the food came out quickly. We ordered the cheese balls, wedge potato pizza, and pepper crispy boneless chicken. We were huge fans of the cheese balls. They were slightly sweet, super chewy, and packed with plenty of cheese. The wedge potato pizza was delicious, with a generous amount of cheese, ham, and potato wedges on top. I highly recommend ordering the garlic butter cream sauce on the side. It is a sweet and savory garlic sauce that really elevates the flavor of the pizza. If you enjoy crispy, juicy chicken, you will like the pepper crispy boneless chicken. I have ordered it every time I have visited, and it remains one of my favorites. Stopped by for lunch with some family and we were thoroughly impressed! The service is very nice and accommodating, always ready to help, and answer questions. We were notified that some items aren't available yet from the menu since it was still their soft opening and I was a bit disappointed; I wanted to try their pizzas! We got the crispy chicken platter, rose tteokbokki, and garlic bread roll. Everything was brought out super hot and fresh. Because the chicken and fries were baked, they had a great crunch without any of the greasy residue. Flavors were amazing. We were also given complimentary radishes and korean coleslaw. Everything was delicious and we loved the tteokbokki sauce! I will just say that nothing was as spicy as I expected; they should make things spicier! This place has a ambience of any chicken restaurant however cleaner and w great service. The food ~~ first the chicken is not oil based chicken. This is a crispy and soft baked chicken. You would think this was fried but no it's been baked crispy. They have other menu items like rose dukkbokki and other dukkbokki's that just melt in your mouth. So does the chicken They even have other seasonal menu items that are coming up but if you have a chance try the noodles. It's been cooked nice and chewy. My friend and I checked this place out for a unique healthy Korean chicken kind of experience. Now keep in mind, the chicken is oven roasted so it is not the typical Korean fried chicken we are used to. The Goobne chicken is juicy and has good amount of breading. The chicken also had a good amount of sauce. The fries were not the best, they were just dried to the point of dehydration which was quite sad. My friend and I came here to try on the weekend. We had the platter and got to try three flavors and came with fries. Cons -The fries were cold when the platter was served. It was also sweet which I usually don't like, but I thought it was ok. My friend didn't like it though. -I am generally not a fan of sweet sauces, but all the flavors on the platter trended on the sweet side. -The platter took a long time to be served. Someone I follow on social media posted from this place so I looked it up. If I see soy garlic chicken on a menu, I'm there! Still in their soft opening so it was not packed but it will be soon enough! The employees were pleasant and helpful. I asked for recommendations and they didn't disappoint. I ordered the medium soy garlic boneless chicken with a side of the seasoned potato wedges to go. The wait wasn't long, about 20 minutes is standard for wings, and they offered me water while I waited. Everything was packed well and even though I made a stop before I got home, everything was still warm. Since I got it to go, the cheese powder for the wedges was given on the side to keep them crispy. The seasoning was great and the chicken also delicious, though a little less crunchy since I didn't eat them right away. We happened to stumble across Goobne on their second day of soft opening. I've seen the sign before but never cared to try it because I didn't think oven roasted chicken could be that good. Well, today we decided to try it.. I really wanted to order the crispy platter but they were sold out of wings by 8 PM, so we opted just to try the honey butter boneless wings. I'm usually not a fan of boneless, but these were HUGE pieces of chicken thigh. Each piece was the equivalent of half a chicken thigh and they were so juicy and crunchy! I don't know how they managed to get oven roasted chicken so crunchy! The honey butter sauce was a perfect mix of sweet and savory. It looked to be a mix of honey and some kind of butter flavored powder. Before we even finished eating I was already sending texts to my friends to tell them to try Goobne. By the end of the night my wife reminded me how dumb I was to overlook this place originally. lol. We'll definitely be back to try the crispy platter when they have wings available! If you want healthier alternative to fried chicken, this is the place. The chicken was still very juicy. We had sweet and spicy, which was surprisingly crispy. If you want lighter flavor, salt and pepper was also good. Ddeokbokki was god too- wish fish cakes were a little thicker for texture. Service was on point- very friendly and checked on us frequently. The main reason we went to try this place today was because my sister saw the pizza on a TikTok reel. We were looking forward to trying the pizza. As soon as we sat down to look at the menu, we were informed that the pizza was not available today and would be available tomorrow. That was a huge disappointment to start off our lunch. We tried the cheese balls and rose tteokbokki which we enjoyed. Both had great flavor. I think the cheese balls were my favorite item. The soy garlic wings tasted better than the galbi flavor, but I was not wowed. Another disappointment was the "microwave bowls" of rice that were served in the plastic bowls. $2.50 for a microwave bowl of rice is a rip off. Also, it doesn't match the vibe of eating at a restaurant. The cheap paper trays also didn't impress me as it soaked up the sauce from the rose ttekbokki. Those trays made me feel like I should be eating a hot dog or nachos from a food stand. The main reason we would return is to try the pizza and hope they are available. 10/10 this place is absolute FIRE! It's like eating fried chicken without the guilt, pretty cool that the chicken wings are breadless, so it seems a bit healthier! Wing sizes are big too!
