I came in for my lunch today from work. So I had a good hour to kill. I love Chinese food and I was in the mood for some teriyaki chicken. I came to the good china express and they have good service and a clean enough establishment. So I corner the ten dollars for a chicken bowl. But as I looked over the food in the trays it made me nervous. All the food on display had no life in it. Every type of chicken looked dry and like it had been sitting out for days. I played it safe and got steamed rice and steamed vegetables. The rice was ok I guess but the steamed vegetables were all soggy and were making my stomach hurt so I just ate the rice. I'm not really sure what all the bad reviews are about . Service was fast and friendly and they definitely did not disappoint with the portions. I got a combo c and it was packed so much that my third side had to go in a different box. There's a good amount of tables to eat inside but I took my food to-go. Food tasted pretty good and at a good price point. We got two item combos. Like other Chinese fast food, you have choice of white rice or fried rice and any other entree items. If you want just one item they can put into a bowl instead for the same price. The tangerine and orange chicken are tasty. I just want to preface that I come here often & have NEVER had an issue with the service/workers. Today for the first time ever I called in an order for pick up, & when I walked in to grab my order it still wasn't ready. Which is fine, I understand bc I was early. With this, I took the opportunity to modify one of the plates & there was some miscommunication. As I was trying to let her know what to change because she seemed confused she shushed me. After, that she still made the plate wrong. I notified her of that & she caught an attitude. I brushed it off & then my last straw was when I was purchasing the food. She started throwing the plates hard on the counter & started showing/explaining to me in a condescending way what I ordered on the phone. Like ? I know what I ordered. THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. Incident occurred on 9/23/2025 around 12:30pm Woman attendant was helping a customer. She wiped the customers' styrofoam container with a dirty moist rag!!! Left the dirty rag on the side and continued to ring the customer up on the register. She DID NOT WASH HER HANDS AFTER HANDLING MONEY. While she began to help me, she answered the phone and gave me a dirty look like she was bothered and walked to the back, then she came out, slammed the phone on the counter and said "how can I help you?" I told her in a stern manner. "You know what I don't want anything!! You're suppose to wash your hands after handling a phone! That's cross contamination! That's disgusting!! I'm not eating those germs you're trying to serve me!" A customer saw our interaction and continued to eat their food just smiling at me. I called the LB Health Department. PLEASE DONT GO HERE!! Unsafe food handling practices and a nasty attitude! Steer clear!! They used to have nicer, and cleaner employees- something changed. First impressions: Your typical, local Chinese fast food spot. Decor is serviceable, not like you're taking anyone here for a first date (no judgement if you do). The food is set out behind glass so you can see what it is you want. I always eat with my eyes so this is good for me. The price is super cheap... I almost feel guilty. This is a family owned business and I've met the son and I think aunt or grandmother also works here (you can tell with Asian people, we're all ageless until we hit our 80s). I love seeing them work together as a family, makes my heart feel good supporting them over Panda Express. It's pandemic times so you know these small businesses are struggling, so I try to come often and tip generously even if I'm doing take out versus dine in. I wouldn't want this spot to close down The Noms: Tangerine chicken is my favorite, hands down. I love the flavor and the crispiness is always on point every time I get it. I usually like to do combo B (two items) and get a mix of the fried rice with the chow main. Their chili oil is super bomb. It's spicy and garlicky and aromatic. I haven't found anything like it anywhere else. I always buy a container to go and bring it back to NYC (in a glass container that's triple wrapped in plastic cling wrap.) I love it on everything, pizza, sandwiches, egg rolls, etc etc. Get some to take home, you'll love it. In Conclusion: 10/10 would recommend as this is my go-to spot (in Cali) for Chinese fast food. I have never had tangerine chicken so sweet before it was actually hardened on the outside from the amount of sugar that crystallized on the outside. It was something like eating a chicken lollipop. Very familiar set up of Chinese takeout where all the food is already prepared. We went with all noodles on our orders and we liked it enough it wasn't overly oily but it is Chinese fast food so it's going to be somewhat oily. We stopped by early dinner on a weekend and it was maybe two parties ahead of us and as we were going a few more people showed up after us so they seem to have a steady flow of people which means they can constantly turnover food and it didn't seem like anything was sitting there for very long. For my taste I felt like some of the entrées were a little sweet I went with the tangerine chicken and the spicy chicken and a tangerine chicken and just had bits that were very sugary - as if a bit of the sugar had solidified on the exterior that's good if you're into it it was a little too much for me. My husband had a teriyaki chicken and barbecue pork and I do the barbecue pork was also a little bit too sweet. Those are the only entrées we've tried maybe some other options would be a little bit more savory rather than sweet also if you're into a little bit of a sweet Andre with your Chinese takeout this is a really good spot for you. read more

I looked up on Yelp! and this was the highest rated place near me, so I had to check it out. This place didn't quite fulfill my fat boy fantasy of having so much food that the container wouldn't close, but it was still a lot of food. I got a two item combo with chow mein, wings, and teriyaki chicken. The food was not bad at all, but I don't know if I would return. The noodles tasted good and were seasoned well, but all the noodles seemed really short - as if they had cut up all the long strands. The chicken wings were moist but lacking on flavor. It is a cheap place so the quality is not necessarily the best. The teriyaki chicken tasted fine, but it was lacking the char or grilled flavor that other places have. This place has been around forever. And they stuck around even after the parking lot remodel and moved them in further off the corner. I guess since the place was always so good they had the clientele to keep them around. To a lot of people it may seem like regular old fast Chinese food and for the most part it is. One thing that they do that I haven't come across in a fast food establishment is a tangerine chicken so good. And one of my most favorite is the fresh to order egg foo young with the spicy tofu sauce. Oh and of coarse the spicy tofu. This is some damn good takeout! I only stopped by this place after running errands and it was on the way home (wife wanted Chinese and there is no good Chinese food close to home). Half of that was was my fault because they did ask how much sauce I wanted - I thought 2 scoops was enough. The young man that helped me was also great. Honestly, this is THE BEST Chinese take out spot local to me. Everything is always hot and ready. It never tastes like it's just been sitting out all day because the orange and tangerine chicken are always nice and crispy. I don't eat Chinese take out often at all, but when I do, I definitely go here. Everything isn't too salty, and everything is flavorful. I also love how they never skimp out either. The food is okay. Nothing great but not bad. My mom and I came here as it was the closest to the hospital where my brother was in care at. We were hungry and needed something close by so we could get back to my brother again. The main meat is chicken. My mom cannot eat chicken and struggled to get something so she ended up with broccoli beef. The food was not hot enough. Because of covid they still do not allow people to sit inside so we had to go back across the street to the hospital cafeteria to reheat our food in the cafeteria microwave to eat it. I did like how their fried rice was cooked. It was good. I don't think I could come here again.
