Food is not bad. Reasonable priced. It has some good selection. Had the nanchos there and the food is different than the nancho you get elsewhere. You really have to try it. The Nancho are seasoned and then on top you have the cheese and bell peppers and jalapeno. That was pretty special. Also I had the poutine. Not bad. good portion size. Not too much gravy so the fries are not soaked. I do like that. Wings are not bad. The salt and pepper was good and goes well with blue cheese. The flat breads are not bad. Pretty good service. Decor is not bad. Place is clean. But the place isn't big. It does have a few TV hanging. But the angles are so so. if you are sitting at the booths, you don't really get a good angle of the TV. Definitely will go back since I am couple blocks away.

Tried a bunch of appies, as well as a couple of "handheld" dishes - the BBQ Onion Ring Burger, and the Beef Dip. Flatbread pizzas - actually quite good. Probably my favourite of all the dishes I've tried here. Nice thin crusts, and fresh and light toppings. Nachos - fairly decent. BBQ Onion ring burger - onion rings were too heavy on the batter. Almost a meal by themselves. Burger was pretty tasty though. Beef dip - decent, but the jus was way too salty. I couldn't finish it off, even after using it as a dip for my fries. The fries themselves were decent but could be a bit more crispy. Still undecided on this place. Just like my previous review, it's hit and miss.

I came here at the suggestion of a friend on a Canucks game night. They have been opened for about 3.5 weeks. The space was a good mix of high tables, booths, tables and bar seating. A slightly upper scale pub. Lots of TVs around. The menu had a lot of different takes on your usual. We had the "Winning Wings" and they were definitely winners. Maybe a bit pricey at 6 wings for $12 but it's wrapped in maple bacon and stuffed with cream cheese! It was really yummy! Their French Fry Bar menu looked awesome. We had the Beer Battered Lemon Pepper Fries. Definitely another winner. They were perfectly seasoned and crispy. The special that night was $3 draft beer! Can't beat that price! The atmosphere was fun and casual. The waitress was friendly and attentive. It's a hit! We'll be back.

It was fun lounging in Kits' newest, revamped neighbourhood pub, formerly Kitsilano Billiards (from the same family ownership group), and sipping on a robust Maker's sour (aka bourbon/whisky sour). I dined on some comfort bar food with small twists including winning wings (stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in maple bacon), wok fried squid, and braised pork belly sliders. I liked their friendly servers, bar staff, and company serving up many local beers on tap from Whistler, Parallel 49, and Driftwood brewing companies as I enjoyed the Canucks game on screens all around.

We walked past on the weekend and saw the Buy 1 Get 1 Free Brunch last Sunday and thought we'd give it a shot. The front windows completely open up, and it was another gorgeous day (Vancouver's on a roll!) so even though it wasn't a patio, it still felt bright and airy. The space is nice, and I see there are a lot of daily specials, including $2 tacos on Sundays and $3 draft beers on Tuesdays. They also have an adequate selection of local beers. Our food was mediocre, but brunch at a bar? Perhaps it's a little unfair to judge them out of their element. We had the Chicken & Bacon Frittata (a little dry), and the Breakfast Fajitas. Neither of them did much for me, but passable with the Buy 1 Get 1 deal, making them about $6 each. I'd be up for coming back one night to see what their nighttime vibe and food was like.

The hotel is a listed heritage building, and the diner ambience definitely reflects that too. Looks like something from the early 20th century, when people travelled by train and wore suits and dresses everywhere. The restaurant is elevated several steps from street level, which also means that the view from the dining room is definitely something special. Staff are very professional. No complaints. I had the prime rib hash. Basically poached eggs on a bed of aragula, hash browns, prime rib chunks, and hollandaise on top. Delicious. Definitely worth visiting if one wants to experience something from a bygone era. They definitely don't build places like these anymore.

It wasn't too busy when I arrived (beat my friend who lives a few blocks away) so Dave (acted as both bartender and server) was friendly and gave us some great suggestions for edibles and I opted to I try the hotel's signature cocktail. When my friend arrived we ordered the Cauliflower Steak, which was so amazingly delicious I could have eaten another one easily. The Middle Eastern flavors were simply delightful at every mouthful. My friend ordered fish & chips, which he enjoyed immensely, especially the crispiness of the fries & fish. The music was a bit louder than I prefer, but it didn't take away too much from the overall atmosphere. The food was solid--my favourites were definitely the burger and the charcuterie, both of which stood out. The Brussels sprouts were just okay in comparison. Service was decent, nothing over the top but perfectly fine. One of the highlights is their happy hour, which offers great value on both food and drinks. Overall, it's a place I'd happily return to.

The vibe is 70s retro with harvest gold upholstery and smiley faces on the walls; the stellar feature is the view and plenty of windows to go around. There's a distinct "eau de bar" fragrance in the background. To note: because it functions largely as a bar, they don't serve brunch to kids under 19. I usually order the Healthy Hash whilst my partner likes skipping around the menu. The well-seasoned hash sports plenty of crisp veggies (zucchini, tomatoes--both fresh and sun-dried--and yams) topped with a couple of perfectly poached eggs. Today my partner ordered the Chorizo Avocado Benny, and while it wasn't one of his favourites, he'd order it again. The chorizo sausage was surprisingly bland however. Service was well-intentioned although a bit haphazard. Not our server's fault because he was the only one on duty whilst guests continued to stream in. Maybe the secret is already out...

We sat indoors with the option to be seated outdoors with heated lamps but we didn't want to smell the smoke from people smoking outside. We ordered the Dark Spell Latte, Albedo Spritz, and Final Word. The Dark Spell Latte is like an espresso martini with chocolate syrup added, which is pretty solid. The Albedo Spritz is a red wine cocktail with hard liquor, and stood out to me as they had 5oz of alcohol so this was fairly strong, but I would imagine most of the ounces came from the wine itself. I liked the gold dusted blackberry. The Final Word is fruity and smoky, which I enjoyed, but not warrant a hefty price tag compared to the other drinks. Service is decent and in line with other restaurant bars. Overall, solid drinks at okay prices that I can see myself recommending this spot. Food was good. We went during happy hour and I got their happy hour burger + fries ($16) and a creme brulee ($6). The burger and fries was solid - nothing super amazing, but got the job done! The creme brulee was really good and came at a great price. I like that they have a lot of specials like pasta nights (wish I would've stopped by on those nights!), wine special days, and pizza special days. Service was fine. A little slow, but it was nearing the end of the evening so I'm sure it's quicker when it's more lively!

The last drink I had when I dined at Noah's was the Eclipse -- pisco, charcoal, caradamom, yuzu, rosemary syrup, and angostura -- and I'm still thinking about it weeks later. Eclipse was airy and refreshing, but it also had depth. The uni pasta fills the void in my heart (and stomach!) that's been there since The Rise Eatery closed. Speaking of seafood, the oysters topped with ikura felt so precious. It's served with a shoyu vinaigrette that I definitely recommend adding a spoonful of. Adding to the decadence, the yuzu gorgonzola cream gnocchi...didn't really taste yuzu, but this was a very delicious gnocchi dish. Don't skip on dessert! The cardamom mochi donuts are perfection! The standouts for us were the Brussel sprouts, negitoro, and the scallop from the starters and the Gorgonzola gnocchi from the main. The best dessert was the cardamom mochi doughnuts. It is a small space so they only have one waitress. She is a very good job handling all the tables and they were all full when we were there. She was also super sweet and helped us with recommendations. They have a good happy hour here so if I go back it would probably be for happy hour or just ordering à la carte off the menu. I'm not sure I would do the omakase again and it looked like we were the only ones doing it the night we went.

I thought it was a mirage at first, but I walked up and touched it so I knew it was real. And it was exactly what we needed after a not insignificant amount of walking around Vancouver (we were touristing) and it was lunch time. Stanley Park Brewing is larger inside than it appears outside. With its outdoor seating and multiple public and private dining rooms its footprint is roughly the size of Rhode Island. (ok, maybe not THAT big...but it is expansive). Stanley Park Brewing is located not far from the entrance to Stanley Park so the views and the surroundings were all very beautiful. A tall clump of trees over here, a some flowering bushes over there...just lush greenery in every direction...and tennis courts. The entire area was clean and well maintained. When we arrived we were told there would be about a 15 (US) minute wait, but that 15 (US) minutes turned into about 5, as we were seated almost immediately at a table adjacent to the bar. The weather was amazing that day (about 72° F) so all the doors and windows were open so there was plenty of fresh air and a nice breeze. Our server arrived with cold water (muchly needed!) and gave us the beer and food menus. Congo and I opted for a flight of beers and the Smokey Island pizza because the maple candied bacon bits, charred pineapple, and jalapeño caught my attention. (Relax, people, it was personal pan pizza size.) For my flight of four I chose: SunSetter Peach Wheat Ale, Waypoint Hazy Pale Ale, Parklandia Hazy IPA, and Noble Pilsner. Each was very good with its own unique tastes and flavour palettes. Our food orders took about 15 minutes to arrive and the food was hot and accurate. The Smokey Island pizza was *Chef's Kiss*, while the SunSetter Peach Wheat Ale from my flight was so good I had to get a pint as well. Our server (Jordan) who was also the bartender. Jordan was knowledgeable about the beers and was able to answer any questions about menu without having to consult someone else. He also suggested the Smokey Island pizza, and for that alone he and I can be good friends. The entire staff was constantly in motion, whether sitting new guests, handling drink refills, cleaning tables, or anything else. Great teamwork all around. What started as a chance visit turned into one of our favorite lunch stops in Vancouver. Congo and I thank you.

Both were solid across the board without any major highs or lows. The chowder hit that comforting, creamy note you want at lunch, and the burger was satisfying and filling, the kind of plate that does the job after a walk around the park. Service was smooth and friendly throughout. It's a reliable option if you want a sit-down meal without leaving the park. Expect a menu centered on approachable comfort food and house beers.

We were greeted by what I assume was the owner (as I also saw him featured prominently in the YouTube video) and took a seat at a table in this relatively small seating area. I kinda had an idea of what I wanted so I started to order.. that is, until the owner told me that he recommended something else on the menu instead. I'd be lying if I said this didn't catch me off guard a bit and even rubbed me the wrong a little, mostly because I had my mind set on what I wanted but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and accepted his recommendation. Again, I'll admit that I was a little pessimistic during the wait. I told my girlfriend that I hoped the Philly was as good as he thought it was because if not, I was going to be severely disappointed and my review would highlight that. I gotta say, great call from the gentleman. The Philly wasn't the most traditional I've ever had but it was a very yummy variation with nice textural differences that made it an abundantly enjoyable experience. The meat was cooked very well, the cheese was gooey, the fried onions gave it a great crunchy bite and that sauce was a scene stealer. All in all, what started off as a bit of an uncomfortable experience ended in one of our favorite dinner outings of our trip. The only extra detail that I'd like to share to the owner is to update his menu highlighting his personal recommendations so people lean towards those more. I like to take recommendations and ask for them consistently but maybe others wouldn't have appreciated it and could've taken it a bit out of context.
