Met up with my sister in Gardena and she needed a cup of coffee stat. We happened to come across this place on Yelp and decided to try it out. So glad that we did. It is a little hidden because it is half coffee shop half water location. But the vibe inside is very down to earth. The barista was very friendly and welcoming, asking us what kind of drinks we liked when we couldn't make up our minds. We ended up going with his suggestions and they were spot on. Our drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. Do not sleep on this place. It is a must try.

Really cool spot with a lot of space in the front and back! Service was super friendly and explained the drinks to me. Huge ups to coffee shops that make their syrups in house with real ingredients and it really shows through in the drinks. He even let me try the syrups - I had the blueberry, biscoff, rosemary and fig syrup. All were so good but I think what was really unique was what my partner got which was the blueberry chai. I ended up getting the rosemary fig latte which was earthy and interesting. The space is huge and there's tables in the front and there's a speakeasy spot in the back for people to hang. It's a real functioning water shop too which is cool. Will be back to try more!

I ordered the peach cobbler Matcha, it is fantastic, right sweetness, love that they make their own syrups with natural fruits!!... Happy and friendly staff, fun ambience. This used to be a water store, which continues to also sell water. Will be coming back!!

Having been to the cafe, I precisely got when people said it's such a warm welcoming neighborhood cafe. Sitting there for awhile I could see many of the visitors seemed to be regulars. Prolly one factor was it dis sell several stuffs including water and infused water. The space was nothing fancy but cozy enough to hang. They did seem to build community out of the cafe itself. Besides the regulars, they did have some house specialties, from which I got to try the Maple Brown Sugar Latte. Strong coffee well paired to the house made syrup. Sounded simple yet I did really enjoy it. Prolly the only one downside was dairy alternative milk was tad pricey at $1.5 extra charge.

Everyone who works here is SO NICE, the drinks are creative and delicious, AND they make their own syrups in house. I had to know more. This is what I learned from the owner: In May of 2024 Marcel decided to start a coffee bar in the back of his alkaline and purified water shop because he wanted something exciting, and he was always stopping on the way in to get coffee, so he decided to bring coffee into his space. He designed and built the cart out of his previous work bench as his now permanent pop-up. It became official July 2024, and he's loved making house made syrups. I went with the Espresso Pomelo ($7.25) from their summer menu with a double shot of espresso over Italian grapefruit soda and ice, and it was the perfect balance of sweet, citrusy, and still being able to taste the coffee. For their coffee beans, they use the Montenero Blend by local roaster Caffe Luxxe. There's plenty of free parking right on W Gardena Blvd, as well as a large parking lot in the back that you can enter from Vermont, and they have a large indoor space with two spacious rooms and a variety of seating options, from couches to benches. Their new fall menu is launching next week, so we will be sure to be back!!

Service was great!! 5 out of 5 stars for the service!!! I got the Peach Cobbler Matcha and it was ok. It was too sweet for my liking. I don't mind if it's a little sweet but this drink was just way too sweet. That's literally all I could taste. They have a variety of fun drinks (both matcha and coffee) that all sounded amazing!!! Inside was clean and again, service was great!!!

Small hidden gem coffee shop located in the Good Water Company store! The interior itself is pretty spacious with lots of open space and a couch and table. I appreciated the vibes and aesthetics of the shop. The menu has a variety of different espresso coffee and matcha options. The worker was really friendly and helpful in giving recommendations and explanations for the drinks. There is street parking available in front of the store. I tried their signature Good Latte which is made with their house made orange syrup, oat milk and a double shot of espresso which tasted similar to orange with chocolate. It's on the pricier side though at about $7.50 a drink and an additional $1.50 for alternative milk. It was good to try and would be cool to see how this small shop grows.

Was searching my neighborhood for some good matcha and this place popped up! As a local to this area, lived here my whole life, I was excited to see this type of small coffee shop popped up in my area. I was curious to try the matcha and it definitely did not disappoint. So far I've tried the peach cobbler and strawberry matcha lattes and they were both great, not overly sweet or overpowering the matcha flavor. The normal coffee lattes are also delicious, my favorite being the rosemary fig latte. Definitely a small establishment, only one barista behind the counter, but he's incredibly friendly and works his magic with the drinks. There is a nice sitting area with a wall full of art to wait while you eat for drinks. Tip: There is a parking lot in the back with a door that leads right into the coffee shop!

The outside of Good Coffee is easy to miss, but the inside embodies community! Each piece of art looks intentionally placed and the playlist nicely curated. This space is also tucked away in a water shop, so that was cool to be in! Both staff members were also very nice during our visit. While the drinks didn't suit our tastes, I'm glad we gave them a shot. We ordered the Strawberry Matcha & Rosemary Fig Latte. The matcha was on the watery side, and the strawberry syrup was quite sweet. The rosemary fig syrup dominated the latte, which didn't suit my preference. The drinks looked beautiful, but because they were on the smaller side, the ratio of syrup to drink seemed off. Since the flavors are strong, I'd recommend asking for light syrup. The syrups are made in-house, so that's a plus! I probably wouldn't try their matcha again, but may give their latte another shot with a different syrup pairing.

Ooooooo the drinks, the vibes, EVERYTHING was GIVING at this spot! If I'm not mistaken, it's tucked inside The Good Water and Market and honestly feels like a hidden gem. They literally sell water on the side (so quirky, and decent pricing, love it), but the real star is the cafe. The layout is chef's kiss -- super aesthetic decor, cool little pieces everywhere, and don't even get me started on the BIG ORANGE COUCH. Like... it deserves its own Instagram account. Now, the drinks: Me: Dirty Biscoff Chai Latte w/ oat milk + espresso shot 10000/10. I asked for light ice and the barista actually checked with me mid-pour if the amount was okay . Starbucks could NEVER. The flavor harmony was unreal -- espresso, biscoff, chai all blending perfectly without overpowering each other. Sonny: Strawberry Rose Matcha w/ oat milk 8.5/10, perfectly sweet and floral. Rabsang: 8/10 Blueberry Matcha w/ whole milk solid, but he wished he'd gone oat milk instead. Iber: 9/10 Peach Cobbler Matcha w/ oat milk legit tastes like pie in a cup. This place is a whole vibe. Drinks are creative, staff is thoughtful, and the space is aesthetic AF. Highly recommend for the cozy lounge energy and plzzz have some patience while the gentleman running the cafe COOOOOKKKKssss if you want matcha magic .

Cold brew, petition for a larger size

The cutest little hidden gem of a coffee shop! If you're driving down Gardena Blvd it's easy to miss this place but there's a parking lot on the back. The coffee shop is small and curated with great visual pieces and warm toned everywhere, the vibe is casual and calming. The menu is small and you're sure to find something you like. I like cold brew and that's what I got. It was smooth, rich, and bold in that way you want your cold brew, none of that acidic sharpness that makes it difficult/tedious to drink. My one "complaint", it only comes in one size and I drank it all on my commute I like supporting local, small owned so I'll happily go back!

Omg this place was such a gem! Tucked away inside a water shop which elevated the experience of the coffee. We crafted drinks based on their house made syrup and every drink was made to perfection. Our wonderful barista was very helpful and suggested a few recommendations based on what we were looking for. Great service and even more amazing drinks. Will return rest of our trip to this shop to try the other drinks!!!

Great Demand, But Poor Convenience for Working Customers…read more I've had The Nook's mushroom coffee before. My best friend took me here on a weekend afternoon, and even then there was a line, although it was manageable and mostly stayed inside the shop. Because of that experience, I knew The Nook was popular, but I wasn't prepared for what I encountered on a weekday morning. I wanted to pick up a coffee before work, so I actually planned ahead. Before leaving home, I checked the mobile website expecting that, given the obvious demand, there might be an order-ahead option. Unfortunately, there isn't one. So I gave myself an additional 30 minutes specifically for parking, waiting in line, ordering, and waiting for the drink to be prepared. I figured that should be more than enough for a morning coffee pickup. I arrived around 7:30 AM, and as I walked toward The Nook from the south side of The Enclave, I could already see the line stretching out of the door and into the courtyard. I was honestly shocked. There were easily 15-20 people ahead of me. I decided to give it a fair chance and got in line. After 10 minutes, the line had barely moved. At that point, I walked out. I understand that popular businesses get busy, especially in the morning. But there is a difference between being busy and having a customer wait in a line of 15-20 people with virtually no movement at 7:30 AM, particularly when there is no mobile ordering or order-ahead option. For a coffee shop with this level of demand, I find the lack of an ordering system especially frustrating. If you're going to consistently have lines extending outside the business during the morning rush, there should be some way for customers who are trying to grab a drink on their way to work to order ahead. And that's really my issue: the customer experience doesn't seem designed for people who need coffee efficiently. If you're coming here on a weekend, have nowhere to be, or are willing to dedicate an unpredictable amount of time to waiting, you may have a completely different experience. But if you're trying to get coffee before work, I would strongly recommend accounting for significantly more time than you think you'll need -- or having a backup plan. I no longer work as close to The Nook, and I don't drink coffee after noon, so I don't have much reason to make a special trip. Unless I'm conveniently nearby and see little to no line, I won't be making another attempt anytime soon. The Nook clearly has a loyal following, but popularity shouldn't come at the expense of basic convenience. If the demand is consistently this high, the ordering process needs to catch up with it.

I think I would've preferred it if it had been made with milk tea instead of just milk, since the tea would've helped balance out the richness and sweetness from both the brown sugar and the crème brûlée. Even so, it was still a tasty drink. The inside of the shop is really cute and very clean. Parking was easy, and when we walked in, there was only one occupied table. Three employees were chatting in the back. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.
