In fact, we hired another local company for a few check ins prior to Good Day and we spent our week contacting that company to get an update on our cats! I was so frustrated and booked Good Day last minute to finish the visits while we were out of town and they were empathetic to our situation and squeezed us in to their schedule. So grateful! The team provides the best updates! They always send photos and very cute and detailed messages with every visit - we actually look forward to their updates because they make us laugh and feel comforted our cats are in good care. They are never generic updates, it's always very unique to our cats' personalities and that specific visit. We have also used Good Day for dog walking and even took advantage of their afternoon hike - Wendy came by to pick up our dog Manny and sent us an entire album of photos from their hike together! It's a really special way to get some one on one time instead of sending your pup to daycare for the day! Scheduling is SO easy and they are affordable/on par with other pet sitting companies. Have used Wendy and her team multiple times to watch my cats when I have gone out of town and I have been nothing but pleased with their work. They always send daily updates with pictures and it's clear that her girls love their jobs-Brittney even did a load of laundry when one of my boys got sick on a blanket. That's great customer service! When you are a new customer Wendy comes to you house and take diligent notes so that everything is perfect while you are gone. The team at Good Day Pet Sitters has been walking my dog every weekday for over a year and half and I have nothing but wonderful things to say. Wendy is always accommodating to our schedule, including last-minute walks on weekends and taking my dog to and from the dog groomer. She has even given me really helpful training advice. Everyone from her team that has walked Lana has been great--always on time, always sending borderline professional-quality pictures with (often hilarious) texts letting me know how things went, and even cleaning up the trash when my dog "accidentally" knocks it over and makes a mess. As an old employee I would not recommend Good Day Pet Sitters to anyone. Your pets will not get the full time or services you pay for. Wendy was horrible to work for, she was very passive aggressive and unorganized. I did not receive my last paycheck I was supposed to receive on pay day until 2 weeks later. After sending a email asking when I would receive it she claimed I had to tell her I wanted it mailed because they couldn't send it electronically when she would ZELLE me my paychecks. Weird right. We are very unhappy that things have gone the way they have with Good Day Pet Sitters. We had been customers--happy customers who always booked well in advance and PAID in advance--since 2017. On our last trip we had to come home early due to unforeseen circumstances. We came home to find our mailbox by the road STUFFED with mail--it was obvious that no one had checked it for the previous three days we were away. One of the most basic jobs of a pet sitter is to bring in the mail so it doesn't look like residents are out of town. We paid $118.00 per DAY for pet sitting services and this most simple task was not completed as we were told it would be. A neighbor also reported that after our overnight sitter arrived one night, within an hour of her arriving, someone picked her up and she didn't return until the wee hours of the morning. Of course I can't prove this, but my neighbor doesn't have any motivation to make up stories. So did we get overnight service? I'm uncertain. In my opinion, I would never recommend Good Day Pet Sitters to anyone. read more

When I began my search for a new dog walking service, I was in the midst of a job transition that had me away from home for longer hours and I had just found out that my current walker wasn't showing up as promised every day (terrible, right?). I used Good Day when I was sent to work in Dallas for a week. They came to my hotel and exercised my dog for an hour each day. After I got comfortable using them, I let them take my dog to the nearby dog park so my dog could be let off her leash. Everything was great. My husband and I just used Good Day Pet Sitters for the first time after a friend recommended them and we had a great experience! We used them for overnights and had complete peace of mind when we went on our trip (we added an extra day trip so our dogs wouldn't be alone too long during the day. I was happy that we could customize it to what we needed). Wendy (the owner) came over to meet our three wild dogs and was great with them. We didn't meet Rachel who was the one who came over to do the overnights but Wendy asked a lot of great questions and you could tell that she would only send someone she trusts. Rachel sent us updates with every visit which really helped us relax about leaving our girls. It was obvious that our girls took a liking to her, cuddling up on her and eager faces for treats :0) We loved that we could leave our dogs in their home environment - they are all rescues and have their little quirks which is why boarding them wouldn't be an ideal situation. Wendy and her amazing team at Good Day Pet Sitters have been taking care of our dogs since 2014. Initially, we used their services when we had 2 small dogs and would go on short overnight trips. In 2016, we added a new puppy to our crew and began using Good Day Pet Sitters for daily walks. We continue to have daily (weekday) dog walks and frequent overnight stays from Wendy's team and could not be happier! I cannot say enough good things about this company -- they are incredibly dependable, friendly, professional, and they send the best pics of the dogs! The daily updates include everything from our garage door being left open (and sending pics so we could see if anything was out of place), dogs throwing up on the carpet (and then cleaning it up), the dogs playing around, to videos of the dogs howling while out on a walk. Every time I have mentioned something about the dogs - for example, my girl dog will sometimes skip meals - they have spent extra time to make sure that the pups were safe and doing ok. Wendy and her team have saved the day several times for us and our pups. Most recently Wendy was able to arrange for a last minute overnight sitter when we had a family emergency. I sent Wendy a frantic text from overseas and within minutes I received a simple "We will take care of it" -- the dog walker stayed in contact with us, showed up to meet our family to take over the dogs, and provided all the snuggles they could ever want! Since they were already familiar with our dogs routines, I just let them know when we would be back and literally everything, including scheduling of additional services as appropriate, was handled from there. After much thought and deliberation, I am writing this as others should be aware of what we encountered. While under the care of Good Day Pet Sitting our dog, Zeus became ill and we came home to find him passed away. Please note our boy was older and that we notified Good Day prior to our leaving that he seemed to be not eating and that in the event he was to worsen we would need them to take him to the vet and we would rush home. On day two of our departure I recommended that Zeus be taken to the vet. When I did so the sitter stated that I would need to arrange that with the owner and expressed no urgency to seek emergency care. I was very concerned, but the sitter continued to state up until day 4 of our departure that he was acting normal although not eating much. The night of day 4 I received an instant message that Zeus was not getting up and seemed sluggish and unable to eat. At that point, out of frustration and a lack of confidence in Good Day I stated that we would rush home in the morning to tend to him and get him to the vet. On the morning of day 5 per instant message we received an update that Zeus was extremely worse, vomited and would hardly get up. At this point we were on our way home and I thought we could make it in time to take him to the vet. Once we arrive our Zeus had already passed away. I'm very disappointed because at no point did, we ever receive a phone call, nor did they have a sense of urgency to seek emergency care. When I called to report his departure, the owner stated that she was shocked and due to their heavy holiday load was not aware Zeus's situation was so serious. Furthermore, they never ever express any sincerity that they could have done more to ensure a different outcome. This is unacceptable to us as we put the lives of our babies in their hands. Due to the situation we informed Good Day that we would like to terminate our relationship, explained our reasoning and that we would like our key back. After 18 days that included two instant messages, a voicemail and finally a third instant message that conveyed that we would like our key back or we would seek other means; we instantaneously received confirmation that our key would be returned along with a message that stated that they each thought that the other had returned it. We agree that there are things that we as owners could have done differently but we feel that had Good Day shown more urgency and acted once the emergency presented itself, we would have had a different outcome. This is not how a customer, or our pets should be treated. My hope is to inform customers to take caution as it seems they are overwhelmed and if your pet's life is concerned it may not be taken into consideration. read more

I researched multiple dog services before I moved to the area, and I could not be more happy with my decision of GDPS. I receive a picture from my walker every time they visit. The prices are similar, if not more reasonable, to other dog services. The owner, Wendy, is wonderful.
