I recently relocated to Dallas from New York City. I didn't know anyone let alone where I could find a trusted pet sitter to watch my adorable cat, Kitty, while I was out of town. I asked a few of my neighbors if they knew of anyone or had a recommendation for a pet sitter and - hands down - everyone's answer was Companion Pet Services. Although 'everyone' was 3 different neighbors, I knew after the third person that I was being brought into an elite inner circle; it felt like i stumbled across the secret to success or something. If you're a new client, Stephen (the owner) will always be the person to come out and meet you and your furry friend, set up your profile, take notes, and make a personalized plan for you and your pet's needs. Its clear that he goes to great lengths to run such an amazing service. He literally answered all of my questions and was more than happy to explain to me how he runs his business (standards, policies, privacy, etc.). Although I'm fortunate enough to be in the area that Stephen covers, I would be more than comfortable allowing anyone he employs to look after Kitty. As for the actual service Companion Pet Services provides: best ever. full stop. I mean, there are no words to describe the magical power Stephen has been blessed with. I, like most people, consider my pet to be special. And even though I know that I'm not the only one on the planet with an animal that requires 'special attention', Stephen never batted an eye or questioned the way I care for Kitty or made me feel silly for how particular I was about certain things Kitty-related. You most likely have had this passing thought before, you know -- the little quirky things that you do with/for your pet that other people might find crazy -- the stuff that when its not done or its missing, makes your pet sad or uneasy because their world has been altered. For Kitty that is her fresh human-sized glass of water on the bedside table every night. Would she survive without a fresh glass of purified water every night? Sure. But I know that without it her routine would be disrupted and since cats loath change, I couldn't live with myself knowing I was consciously making Kitty "Baby Toes" Patient upset. As if things couldn't get any better, they did. I happen to be blessed with an eye for details so I tend to notice when anything (even the smallest items) have been touched or moved. That said, upon arrival home after a long fight, it was clear that someone had swiffered the floor, freshly cleaned Kitty's dishes, emptied the dishwasher (from all of Kitty's bedtime drinks) and wiped down the counters. I don't know about you, but its always a buzz kill to come home [from being away] to a musty, dusty house when all you secretly want to do is settle in and relax. I can't say enough about Stephen and Companion Pet Services. My dogs look forward to getting picked up every day, they are gone for hours and come back tired from a full day of play. The sitters are extremely communicative, sending pictures of the dogs during play time and are available for contact at all times. Anytime I've ever had concern for my dog, the sitters have watched out for it and let me know if any medical symptoms continued. They are so flexible and work with your schedule. I moved recently and Stephen took my dog for 8+ hours while I got settled in my new place--A HUGE HELP! I trust them 100% and know that they truly care for my dogs' well-being. Before Companion Pet Services, my dog was very intolerant of strangers and since using them, she has completely adapted. Her demeanor is more pleasant and overall quality of life is VASTLY improved. I used to take my dogs to daycare and they would just sit for 8+ hours hours will little to no stimulation, not with Companion Pet Services. The are staying active, visiting new parks, and coming home happy pets. My partner and I are new parents to our Boston Terrier puppy, Emma. We looked at several different services in the area to provide daily walks and playtime for her. I narrowed our choice down to 3 and we interviewed them at our home. The choice was CLEAR immediately when we met Stephen from Companion Pet Services. He was professional, kind and listened to our needs. Scheduling is super easy and if you need to cancel, you go to the client portal and you cancel or change the service. Initially, we were assigned one particular dog walker. My partner met them but made no "thumbs up or down" comment. This person was replaced by Michael. Michael is AMAZING! He takes care of Emma as if he was her owner, plus he is a super nice and caring guy. We have such PIECE OF MIND knowing that she is well taken care of. Plus she is crazy about him! Michael sends texts and photos when he visits. He goes out of his way to ensure that Emma is safe and healthy. If he notices something not quite right, he let's me know right away. I cannot say enough good things about Stephen and company. Liz is our main dog walker and my labs love her! Stephen and Liz are always lovely to my dogs and can handle both with ease. They both treat my home with respect and have always been available when I have gotten stuck and could not get home in time for doggie dinner. I honestly do not know what we would do without them! They are always informative about a change in either dogs diet or demeanor. They take the time to communicate with me so we can keep track of our labs health. Both Liz and Stephen have been known to just check in with me on the health of one of our labs when they know one is ill. As for my home, I trust them with my house. If the mail has come when they are there, it is in the house and where I can see it (but the dogs can't get it). If packages were delivered, they are in the house. Liz has stayed at our house when we have been out of town. We come back to a clean house and happy dogs! We are grateful for Companion Pet Services! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Companion Pet Services!!!!! Stephen and his team are simply the BEST!!! I would not trust anyone else doing doggie transports to play dates and grooming or dog walking than CPS!!! Stephen is so kind and passionate towards animals which makes me feel like when I cannot be with them they are with the next best person and team!!! I highly recommend CPS for pet transport, dog walking and pet sitting!!! My 5 dogs alert me to Stephen's arrival as before his truck stops at our house my dogs are already barking ad lined up at our electric gate waiting to be leashed up which makes me SMILE!!!!! The CPS vehicle parks at many homes with the residents always home such as myself and several other people that I personally know. This "pet sitting service" is so much more than just a pet sitter. The people here genuinely care about the pets they are watching, as well as the pets' owners. Stephen, my cat's sitter, has exceeded my expectations each time he's watched my high-maintenance, elderly cat who thinks he's a prince. Not only does Stephen cater to my cat only drinking from a water glass and not a water bowl, but the litter box is always clean upon my arrival home, my cat's medicine has been given correctly, our dishwasher has always been run, our plants have been watered, and our house is taken care of. The good stuff continues: Recently, my fiance and I came home to a box of brownies on our doorstep from Stephen, thanking us for a referral and congratulating us on our recent engagement. Stephen might actually be MORE passionate about animal/pet rescue than myself...what you might not know is that Stephen uses $$ from Companion Pet Services to fund his own pet/animal rescue efforts. What you might not also know is that Stephen has actually spear-headed 'search parties' for missing pets. In addition, Stephen has actively participated & assisted in our Shorecrest Crime Watch efforts & neighborhood gatherings. We hired Stephen and Companion Pet services to watch our house, two cats, & two dogs while we were out of town for a week and I can safely say that we felt entirely safe leaving our beloved pets and home in his care. He is very friendly, professional, and was a big hit with our loved ones! We really enjoyed receiving text updates from Stephen telling us about our pets and we felt very comfortable having him come to our house while we were away. You can trust Companion Pet Services 100% with your pets. Not only are they reliable, but they are smart about how they care for your pets. They make an effort to get to know your pet's personality so that they recognize it if your pet isn't behaving normally. The first time Stephen (the owner) took care of my cats, one of them was a little lonely and didn't want to come out of the closet. Rather than trying to coax her to come out, Stephen took her food into the closet and sat in there with her while she ate. This is the kind of person that I want caring for my cats. We have used Companion Pet Services for over 2 years now and are extremely satisfied with the service our dogs receive. Stephen is trustworthy, very reliable and great with our dogs. Just a couple of weeks ago he went above and beyond his duties as a pet sitter. Our fire alarm went off - I was out of town and couldn't reach any of my neighbors to see what was going on. I was out of phone #'s to call and ideas, so I called Stephen hoping he could help. As soon he got my message he started heading over to my house even though he was out of the local area. I admire and respect him as a person foremost, but his passion for animals is off the chart. Always dependable and will take go the extra mile for you and your pet. Many were previously shown but seem to have disappeared. Curiously, this coincided when CPSI stopped advertising on yelp.. Companion Pet Services is wonderful! I have been using them for several years to take care of my cat when I am out of town. Stephen is always able to come over when I need him, even with last-minute requests, and has never had any issues giving her any medication she needs. I love being able to text him if I want to check up on things, and he always sends me pictures to know all is well. I also appreciate the fact that all pet sitters check in and out with GPS so I know I get the full time I paid for. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing a petsitter. I have 2 cats and 1 dog and they get the most amazing care when I am out of town--maybe even better than if I am home! :) I have never felt more at-ease while away on vacation. Stephen is kind & thoughtful with our pet. He also is a man of sterling character. Our dog loves it when Stephen appears at the door for the daily walk. We have found Stephen to be very considerate & acommodating with our dog & our schedule & the weather (our dog hates walking in the rain) .Stephen's love of animals & his compassion comes through very clearly. We have used Stephen for years with our three cats whenever we travel. Cannot imagine life without him. The cats(including two formerly feral) like and get along with Stephen. He does an excellent job of feeding, cleaning litter, playing with and generally tending to cats' needs. Plus we get real time pics and updates everyday. I have used Companion Pet Services for about 3 years and wouldn't think about having anyone else to look out for my pups. Stephen is dependable and completely trustworthy and my dogs ADORE him. I never have to worry when Stephen is with them. Stephen is also very easy to work with as sometimes I have things to come up at the last minute and he always does his best to accommodate my needs. When my dog was born I started researching pet services immediately. After two unsuccessful attempts with other dog walking services I was referred to Stephen at Companion Pet Services.
