This is the worst pet service I have ever received. I signed up for dog walking 5 days per week between 11 am and 1 pm, the sitter came the first day and stayed in the house for 10 minutes, then walk the dog for 10 mins. all this was on my home camera. when i arrived home from work I called the company to asked why was the walk only 10 mins. I am gone away from work 11 hours or more every day, my dogs are very active and need daily exercise. but instead of responding to me, they bill me for another week, I again called and asked why am I being billed then this week which was paid in advance had just started, but the next day no sitter came, I again called, each time I called I left a message for a return call, no one from this company ever returned my call. We had a very troubling experience with Prestigious Pets. Like others have reported, we were overcharged, and the sitter entered our home without a scheduled visit--which felt like a serious violation of our privacy. They also frequently missed scheduled visits or showed up at random, unannounced times. After canceling our service, they only returned two of the four house keys we had provided. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, they have not responded, and we've had to file a police report out of concern for our family's safety. Based on our experience, I genuinely question the legitimacy of this business and strongly advise others to stay away. I wish a zero star was available. I've used this company for a few years. They were great. This year a whole different story. The sitter came later than scheduled. I know this because the fish aquarium lights we on when the picture was taken. Five hours late. This November I scheduled three visits once daily, I have 3 indoor cats. The first scheduled visit I received zero updates. The next late afternoon, no pictures and no communication from sitter. In the past I'd try getting in touch with company with no response from them. I just knew my cats hadn't been taken care of. We left our vacation early and drove home. The food bowls were empty, large water bowl had maybe an inch of water left, and the three large litter boxes was full. Within twenty minutes after we were home and five hours late, the sitter walks in our house. I'm furious at the time, needless to say. Do not expect an honest reply from this company. They sent an email stating it would be treated with utmost urgency as this situation is absolutely unacceptable. All kinds of promises. To date I have heard NOTHING! The Worst: This is absolutely the worst service company I've every come across. I've been a customer for far too long - at least 2 years when my neighbor who used to walk for me moved. There are CONSTANT issues, at least weekly, with people not showing up, not following instructions, showing up at 5:30PM when the scheduled window was 1:00PM to 4:00PM. WEEKLY. DON'T DARE leave your pets under their care for "Out of Town" trips... You'll come home to a filthy home but MOST importantly, last year when I went to Greece they missed multiple visits!!! I had scheduled 3 times a day for my dog, and one of the missed visits was at night - So he went from 3:00PM one day ALL THE WAY TO 09:00AM THE FOLLOWING DAY!!! He pee'd all over the couch. They're a mess. I should have fired them then, but today was the last straw, I'm out. Oh, also, if there IS an issue, good luck getting a hold of anyone... communication is non-exsistent. UPDATE: It's been OVER 2 weeks now and they have still not processed a refund for service I scheduled later in the summer. They're also seemingly holding my keys hostage - I don't know why it takes 2 weeks to mail a set of 2 keys. MIND YOU, At first I insisted on going to the office to pick them up, but they refused and now are just going to send them loosey goosey in a USPS envelope with my address on it: so now I'll have to get my locks changed. I contacted my lawyer and they've broken many contract terms and what they're doing with my keys is illegal - you can't forcibly hold keys to my home after I fire you. There's been no communication AT ALL besides "thank you for your patience while we sort this out" - WHAT IS TO SORT OUT? A refund takes a day to process and never mind tracking on the keys - at this point it's safe to say they lost them and don't want to admit it. You could tell they were hot off the press from Minute Key - 2 identical gold keys. I know this isn't what I have them very distinctly because of the Meet and Greet lady saying "aw this is cute" when I gave her a key that had a dog imprinted on it (because I took that back from my old dog walker, and some other spare I had laying around which was silver (2 years ago!): Defintely not 2 exactly identical keys. So now on top of everything else (This is going back to May, and I still haven't received money back for services I booked in August and cancelled. It's well within their policy to refund this money and I've gotten random credits totaling $170 something. Not even close to being even) NOW ON TOP OF everything else I have to get my locks changed because god knows where my original keys are. I feel like suing. Their processes and procedures are not as intense and thorough as they let you believe when you sign up. JUST AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Even 2 + Months after firing them I'm having 0 communication one way or the other and added stress that I don't need right now. HOW HARD IS IT TO PROCESS A REFUND FOR SERVICES THAT WERE NEVER RENDERED? HOW HARD IS IT TO COMMUNICATE WITH ME? 1. Still don't have my original keys and need locks changed. I'd love them to reimburse for that, but.1 thing at a time since 2. I haven't even gotten my money back for services I booked 4 months in advance and cancelled. We're talking almost $700 vs. the $170something I actually received... 3. I haven't actually received communication from anyone at the company in weeks... I call and they hang up saying we'd prefer everything be documented. I email but no one replies. I'll be going to the listed office address soon but it's probably someone's living room. 4. I asked politely for a refund of the week I fired them since I had just had a horrendous experience with them over the course of 2 years. If I don't get that - whatever (although I feel that $170 is for that week?), but it's the least they can do considering I have to change my locks AND am waiting 2 months for a simple charge to be credited back. I paid it at once, not like in incremental amounts. they were great and did their job correctly for our trip last year with updates each visit twice daily. this year for 2 separate trips we had to ask for updates and make sure our pets were fine --which they weren't. One day they said personal emergency so they can't take care of our pets so we had to get a neighbor who's number we just so happened to have, the other time they said a worker was in a car wreck--yeah right, that's believable. So when we get home we discover 2 pieces of furniture have property damage to them leaving out one of our pets and not properly locking up and caging them. Unreliable dog walking service, set times are 3 hour window, if they are running late or not there in the 3 hour window, they do not call you, reach out or notify in any way. Trying to get in touch with them, that's pointless, they don't answer the contact number that is listed on invoices. You have to send them an email and hope for the best. Each and every time it's hours later. This is a huge hassle and really not a helpful service, it's a stressful service. And even sometimes not showing up at all. They apologize and say they are shorthanded, or someone called in sick, etc.. They've got excuses for everything. Hope you liked to get your credit card processed for walks not completed, they process with future walks included. Total hassle to try and clear this up. I do not recommend this service at all. Beware before doing any business with those guys. Their technology is a nightmare, the website is DATED and you can't really do anything without it turning into a hassle. What I hate the most is that you can't get an actual price estimate, when you get a total price then your appointment is already booked. It honestly started on a good note, they took care of my cats during a trip and it seemed ok. I used them again and I started to see weird things: - They don't give you updates I honestly don't give a crap about the whole "oh we treat pet first" (which also is a lie, more on this later). It's 2019 and there is technology out there. Give updates after each visit through an app, it takes 2 seconds and gives peace of mind. It's mind-blowing that you guys can't get that - The quality has dropped drastically (at least for cats) The previous lady was great. Now there's a new guy and he's just not good. On my last trip, the water wasn't changed daily, it was disgusting when we came home and the food wasn't removed from the plate after each feed so a crusty mess developed. - You can't get anyone on the phone When you call the front office they don't know anything and tell you to send an e-mail. What's the point of having a phone line. - They don't respect their appointment times I installed a sensor on my door because I was expecting that visits weren't happening as they say and guess what: I was right. The guy was supposed to come between 6 and 9, he didn't. He showed up at like 1 pm and nobody told me anything. I had a friend come in faster than him (after I had called the office) to take care of my cats. When the Prestigious Pet person came in he said: "I really love those cats bro". Right. They said they would refund me for this: they didn't. - Their advertised price vs what they charge on credit cards is different at three separate occasions, I have noticed this. They send me an email with a total price and the price charged on my credit card is different. I sent 2 emails about this: no answer. (see picture for proof) I understand a loss in quality or bad service but being ripped off is something I do not tolerate. So in a nutshell: You can do better in Dallas. I love Prestigious Pets, but more importantly, my precious puppies love them! Originally, I had one white furball puppy princess, which I sent to doggie day camp while I worked so that she could get her socialization and exercise. Eventually, we got a second bundle of doggy joy, which meant that day camp would be double the price. I started looking into dog walkers, because they tend to charge similar rates between walking one and two dogs. Economies of scale and all that. Eventually, I found Prestigious Pets, and they have been amazing. I appreciated that they did a free initial consultation with my dogs to make sure that they would get along with the walker. And they did. Two walkers came to my apartment and played with my dogs. We talked about my dogs' nuances, personalities, and what I wanted out of the walks. I'm a little bit obsessed with my puppies, and really protective, so I wanted to make sure they got the best walker possible. I have also never had a walker before. I asked a ton of questions, and they were extremely patient and put all my concerns to rest. Here are additional reasons why I would recommend Prestigious Pets: 1. Dogs love them! The walkers from Prestigious Pets are great. They're very communicative, responsive, and trustworthy. One morning when I was walking my dogs, I ran into my walker, who was walking someone else's dog, and I could see she was doing it very patiently and attentively. Also, my dogs were both very excited to see her, so I know they love her. 2. They go above and beyond. In addition, Prestigious Pets goes above and beyond its expected obligations. Do you want the walker to get your mail? They'll do it! Do you want them to water your plants? Turn off your lights? Give your dogs water? They'll do it! My dogs use litter boxes because they're cat-sized and we live in an apartment. When my little one gets upset, he will kick up litter sometimes, and the walker cleans it when she can. I don't expect her to at all, but she does it anyway. It is really nice. 3. They are very accommodating. If you sign up for weekly walks (which I highly recommend), they have a system where you can cancel or add a walk the DAY OF the walk before 9am. That is so convenient! I cannot tell you how many times I have forgotten a scheduling conflict or vacation and emailed them midnight the night before to reschedule a walk. They have done it cheerfully each time despite how scatter-brained I've been. 4. They care about the pups. My younger puppy fractured his little paw a while ago, so he had a cast for a while, and the vet put him on exercise restriction. Prestigious Pets has been immensely sympathetic about the whole ordeal, and very accommodating about scheduling changes and changes with the walks. I've changed things on them so many times, according to the vet's instructions. (Walk him with the cast gently! Don't walk him with the cast! Walk him with the cast but avoid water! Walk him with the cast indoors! Don't walk him!) They've been very cheerful and understanding with each change. Also, the walker-- she is really caring. Even when she is only walking the other dog and not the little one, she will play with him so he is not as sad about being left behind. 5. They document their walks. There was another reviewer that was concerned about confirmation that the dogs were actually walked. I haven't found this to be a problem. Prestigious Pets offers a sign-in sheet/log at my apartment that my walker fills out each day she takes the dogs out. When the log is full, she provides another one. She not only checks in, but she'll leave detailed notes about how the walk went, and whether the dogs relieved themselves outside or not. I think there might have been one time when the walker forgot to sign the sheet, but I emailed to confirm that the dogs had their walk (I know--I'm a helicopter parent to the pups) and they responded in a warm and timely fashion. 6. Other perks. Prestigious Pets also offers the option of running with the dogs. I find this funny and awesome, even though my small fluffballs don't need it. All in all, I'm really glad I found Prestigious Pets! Sometimes when I'm at work, trapped in my office surrounded by papers, I realize that its 1pm and that my dogs are probably frolicking about in the sunshine with their walker. How easy! I have a spare set of keys to the consultant that came to meet me and my puppy and then set up an automatic credit card charge. And that's it! On days I don't need a walker I simply email and voila! I couldn't be happier with this service. I have even accidentally surprised the walker that has come to walk my pup (days that I legit forgot to cancel) and he still takes her on their regular long walk. She gets quite scared easily and isn't that social, so I explained to them that she may hide and not come out from under the bed. My usual pet sitter/walking company, Great Paws (now Sparta) was closed so I decided to try Prestigious Pets based on all of the good reviews. We have 2 dogs and a fish that were being cared for while we were gone a Friday through Tuesday evening. I knew in the initial meeting that I did not think the company was a good fit. The walker would not share her phone number and said any communications had to be emailed through the company. Since their hours are M-F 9 am - 4pm or Sat. 11 am - 3pm and closed Sunday, this leaves a lot of time where you cannot contact your walker if needed. We would have liked to contact her when we saw the alarm was not set and also when we saw the fish bowl had gone from clear to cloudy. I also did not like their fee and the services you receive. In the initial meeting, our walker told us it was $20 to come to the house, but that did not include a walk. She told us that was $5 extra. Granted they invoiced and charged us $10 and it took multiple emails to get that credited back on my card. The request was made on 10/6 and I did not receive the credit until 10/14. Their initial quote said the visit included 10-15 minutes of a walk or backyard time so I was confused that our walker was telling us something different. They also don't automatically give you updates on the visit. In the initial meeting, our walker told us that has to be requested each day via email. I like to know the walk and visit happened and that the dogs are doing well. Finally, I left a note asking for our keys to be left when the walker left the last day. They charge $15 to get them back at a later date. The walker did not leave the keys and they are going to charge me to get them back. The one star is for potentially harming my fish, otherwise it would have been 2 stars. We have a camera on the bowl and we watched the water go from clear to cloudy. There was a layer of food on the bottom from way too much being put in it. Even if you don't have fish, you should be able to see the change in the bowl and stop putting in food. Better yet, ask us how much to feed if you are unsure. The care of our dogs was fine. It is just the company is not one I would recommend due to their policies. I did share this feedback with them and they wanted to discuss it. However, I have no plans to use them again and did not want to take the time to discuss the issues. read more
