Grooming has always been a challenging experience for him, so I'm very selective about where I take him. Sydney was absolutely amazing. She was calm, patient, and incredibly understanding of his anxiety. Despite his anxiety, she was able to trim his nails and give him a full bath, which is not an easy task. What really stood out was her communication. She kept me updated throughout the appointment and even sent me a picture, which gave me so much reassurance knowing he was safe and in good hands. Because of this great experience, we already booked our next appointment. If you have an anxious or nervous dog, I highly recommend That Dirty Dog and Sydney. Finding someone you can trust with your dog is priceless, and I'm so grateful we found her.

There's no excuse for this. There's no excuse for no manager or supervisor at the store. There's no was to call. It goes straight to voicemail. I'm devastate. This is a purebred 100% Maltese. You can't fix this. You can't fix his depressio. Dogs understand change like this. He can't go out and freezes in the house. He lies in the sun. Only to be told a couple weeks later that they are canceling our agreement because they think I was rude pushy and demanding. My crime? Asking whether they had any more photos of our Waldo! They ONLY send one pic and didn't I remember it was NOT the weekend? I DIDN'T LISTEN!!! Which I clearly did to all of their rants. All they had to do was answer a couple of questions but in response I got the entire text of the agreement. Many times. They will tell you I was a pest but that is a lie. They were completely unreasonable. I was told I would not get even ONE photo last weekend because one of their other dogs had a medical problem. I am sympathetic but how long does it take to text or email ONE photo? Oh and they originally offered me an 8 week old pup they had yanked back from someone else for calling or texting with too many questions during the first couple of days. Apparently that was the "first time" that ever happened. And apparently what happened with me was "a first". I'm not sure what to believe from them. The owner makes a 7:30 am drop off specially for cats so they are not stressed about dogs. Which is thoughtful. She has a gate on her porch to prevent dogs from running out the door into the parking lot or street. Very good idea. I brought my cat there just recently, and had him shaved. I neglected grooming- sorry. They did an awesome job. Did EXACTLY what I wanted. Lickety-split in under 30 minutes. Without a single nick. Bailey, the feisty cat, is so happy to be rid of his mats. Anyway, I'll definitely bring him in on a regular basis to prevent mats from coming. Highly recommend Bark of the Town.

One of the biggest red flags was finding multiple ticks on dogs and bringing it to management's attention, only to feel that the issue was not taken seriously and that owners were not being properly informed. As a dog owner, I would want to know immediately if my dog had been exposed to ticks. There was also an obvious level of favoritism among both dogs and staff. Certain dogs seemed to receive all the attention while others were overlooked. If your dog isn't one of the favorites, don't expect the same level of care and supervision. The trial process feels completely pointless. Despite having evaluations in place, dogs with poor behavior were still accepted, creating unnecessary risks for both staff and other dogs. It often felt like filling spots was more important than maintaining a safe environment. Overall, I left with serious concerns about the standards being upheld here. When you're paying someone to care for your dog, transparency, safety, and consistency should be the bare minimum. Based on my experience, I did not see those standards being met, and I would strongly advise dog owners to look elsewhere.

I eventually succumbed to her request and moved my vehicle but the way she approaches potential customers or difficult situations is a telltale warning sign that you are not welcome here.
