Her symptoms became severe enough that I had to take her to the veterinarian, where she was diagnosed with an infection around her anus and required treatment. I paid $215 for the grooming appointment, only to end up with an additional $200 veterinary bill days later. Beyond the financial burden, it was heartbreaking to see my dog uncomfortable, in pain, and requiring medical attention. When I contacted America's Paw Spa to discuss the situation and provide information about Luna's condition, I was told they would not reimburse any portion of the veterinary expenses. While I understand businesses have policies regarding liability, I was disappointed by the lack of empathy and willingness to work toward a resolution. What was even more disappointing was the owner's public response. At no point did I claim that the groomers expressed Luna's anal glands or directly caused Luna's infection. I simply shared the timeline of events, the veterinary diagnosis, and my experience as a customer. Rather than acknowledging the distress of having a dog require medical treatment shortly after a grooming appointment, the owner chose to suggest my concerns were a "very easy deflection" regarding my dog's care while focusing on anal gland expression--something I never alleged occurred. The issue is no longer just the $200 vet bill. It is the dismissive and accusatory way this situation was handled. Pet owners trust groomers with the wellbeing of their animals, and I expected far more compassion and professionalism than what was shown here. Fortunately, Luna is receiving treatment and recovering. However, based on both my experience and the response I received, I will not be returning and cannot recommend America's Paw Spa to other pet owners.

Definitely higher end of price point for a 10lb Maltipoo - $170 with tip. If you choose to book them, don't expect Shannon to express any joy when coming to pick up your pup. I've taken them to kristi twice now and I'm very happy with the results. She's so patient with these fur babies. One of them is high strung and a very nervous fur baby. Kristi makes him feel safe. He doesn't come out shaking like he did with other groomers because he's giving her kisses. My other pom loves everyone but she has thick course hair. Kristi gives her a wonderful deep condition that makes it soft. I like that when I tell her what I want I get exactly that. They always look great. We are already scheduled for our next appointment in 8 weeks. Everyone I've met her is so nice. I love taking my babies here. Theyre very reasonable too.
