Bought 3 of their Motion Detector lights and they work great and do exactly what they are suppose to do. Had a motion detector sensor problem with one of them after about 9 months and reached out to customer service. Couldn't have asked for better service and the issue was resolved immediately. read more

I purchased a Good Earth exterior motion activated unit from Lowes--and thank goodness I kept the receipt. Had to return this overly complicated hunk of junk that is wireless capable--or so it claims to be. I could not get the unit to simply turn on--even on my test bed with a power source 100% verified. Would not respond to the downloaded app. Would not turn on for initial setup with the hard to find on the internet Android control app. I brought the unit back to Lowes for a full refund on my credit card. I will let Lowes back-credit Good Earth Lighting and not waste time contacting their alleged customer service with closes at 5pm Central Time. My advice is to stay away from companies run by high-tech egg, millennial and Gen-X eggheads. read more

I contacted the company and was immediately able to speak to a representative, Tammy Meer, who walked me through the process f requesting a replacement unit, which was promptly shipped to my address. Recently, one of the lighting panels failed. I pulled out my files, read the warranty info and contacted Good Earth Lighting this past weekend - left a VM. Today, Tuesday, a replacement panel is on its way to my home! A couple of phone calls, a couple of emails and, without hesitancy, stood behind their product! Great customer service! I purchased an LED ceiling light 1 1/2 years ago and it died. It had a 10 year warrenty so I reached out to them. Holly got back to me, and after I provided the information needed, she had a new light shipped out to me. When I received it, it was damaged, so I contacted Holly again. I purchased a GoodEarth outdoor light SE1293-WH3-02LF0-G. It is supposed to be a motion sensor light, but will only turn on at dusk and stay on. I emailed support, they walked me through a test and determined it was defective. They did send me a replacement which does the same thing. I asked for my money back and now they will not respond back to me. Do not trust this company. Shabby product and shabby management. read more

Purchased an LED panel light for our kitchen. Light turned on to ultra brite and the only way to dim it was to download the app. In order to use the app you have to switch your phone to 2G. Must reset the app everytime you turn on the light, it doesn't maintain the setting. So you must dumb down your $1000 iphone to adjust the light. Wouldn't recommend this product read more

Purchased a LED flush mount kitchen light made by this company from Lowes. Had an electrician install it along with one of the dimmers they recommended. The next day I turn it on and it starts flashing like a strobe. I had to look around for a mirrored ball and some Disco Music! Later in the day I had it at mid brightness and it would shoot, all by itself. to high( brighteset ). This happened every time I turned the light on. No matter what level of brightness I had the slide on.Drove me CRAZY! Called customer service. The asked me about the dimmer and the connection. Told her installed professionally and dimmer was one of the ones they recommended. She said dimmer might be bad, try another. Went and got another model they recommended. Electrician installed that one.Same thing. Next I get a diagram on how to connect a dimmer ( like my electrician didn't know) Showed it to him anyway. Got a little insulted. New dimmer did the same thing. Another email saying problem was be passed to the people in the know. Next email had tons of questions about installation and other switch next to dimmer. Really?! My electrician switched dimmer to dinning room. Was fine. Both dimmer were fine.Enough already! Packed up Mr. Kitchen light and took his tired, defective ass back to Lowes. Bye bye light and bye bye Not -So -Good -Earth Company !! Went next door to Home Depot. Purchased one of theirs. Called my electrician, he installed it. Works perfectly. Do yourself a favor, find another brand. You'd be better off with a flashlight or a couple of voltage candles then dealing with this kind of frustration. So, I purchased a Portal LED light fixture for my kitchen. Came with a 10 year warranty. The light lasted maybe a year and a half. I tried to contact good earth so maybe I could fix it myself but they never got back to me. So I purchased another of the same from Lowe's in West Sacramento brought it home and opened it up only to find a used one in the box that I assume was returned to exchange a bad one. This tells me 2 things - these light fixtures do not last and Lowe's doesn't check their returns very well. read more

In 2012 I purchased a Good Earth Lighting "Pisa LED Flush Mount Ceiling Fixture" (Model: G04117) from a Lowe's store in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The item performed well for two years. However, after two years one of the LED arrays started flickering. Yesterday (after locating the original receipt) I called the phone number listed on the installation guide and spoke with a customer service representative. After some research she explained that the item had been discontinued two years before Lowe's sold it to me. I replied that the consumer warranty clearly covered a three year period. My recollection of her explanation of why Good Earth wouldn't honor the warranty is: (1) Lowe's should have told me that the product was sold "As Is," (2) Lowe's charged me very little for the fixture because it had been "dropped from inventory," and (3) Lowe's "had been given credit" for the inventory years ago. I agree that Lowe's sold me the product for a reasonable price but don't see how that voids the warranty. The other reasons justifying refusal to honor the warranty also make little sense. The company's products are very attractive and the representative made recommendations as to where a replacement driver part could be obtained. However, I am very disappointed in the lack of warranty service. read more

I purchased a fixture from Lowe's one year ago for a master bath remodel. The $7.51 bulb that was included in fixture went out over the weekend. I contacted The Good Earth Lighting company to see about this bulb that was to save me $2.77 per year and was advertised to be good for 9.1 years - three hours per day - ALL of which is stated on the packaging of the replacement bulb. " Rebecca"corrected me and said bulb NOT good for 8 years but 10,000 hours. So I tried to explain that two adults, taking one shower per day and one or two potty breaks, could not add up to 10,000 hours of usage in one year! I was getting no where with her so I asked about contacting bulb manufacturer. She said made out of the country - so impossible to contact. I am trying to locate a the receipt for lighting fixture so I can call her back - not sure what good that will do as she was not understating AT ALL. As a country, we will be forced to use "energy saving/environmentally friendly bulbs" that cost us a fortune. DO NOT live up to the hype AND have to be returned to Lowes or some other recycling site due to the DANGEROUS contents of the bulb! Really? Is this a joke? Had very negative experience with a fluorescent light I brought from this company for my kitchen. Bought it at Lowe's because it looked attractive and was well-priced. First, when I opened the box, the acrylic cover was cracked, which Good Earth immediately replaced when I contacted them. Then the fluorescent bulbs started going out -- had to be replaced way to frequently -- every few months over a two period. When I finally reached the company to inquire, they refused to help -- though they did tell me I could try replacing the ballast at my own cost. Since I'm not an electrician I don't know if that's the problem, but I do know that the light fixture just became expensive and the company is unreliable. Would never buy another light from this company!!! I expect lights I buy to last more than two years! read more

I was a little surprised to see the negative comments and reviews...I bought a Jordan LED flushmount from Lowe's and I absolutely love it! Not only is energy efficient (Energy Star certified) but gives off a nice cool lighting with a stylish nickel mounting. It can also be mounted in damp areas (bathrooms, porches, etc). It is also competitively priced along with a 10 year warranty! I highly recommend this product and brand. read more

I installed 3 sets of 3 under counter light sets I bought from a big box store a few years back. They are Good Earth Lighting inc. brand. One by one they all quit working. The bulbs are fine, so I guess the ballasts are bad. Its stated on the ballasts there is 5 amp. fuse but its not anywhere on the line so must be in the sealed ballast, no help. I purchased Utilitech Pro model #UC1015-WH1-24LFO-U LW004003-032013--Item number #0039981- 24 inch Direct Wire Under the Counter Kitchen unit At Lowes to replace an out dated fluorescent tube type unit. The only problem that I had installing the unit in almost the same place as the old one was -- the cable clamp. The old unit opening was in the center knockout. I did the same with the new LED. The problem I encountered was that the transformer was placed centered over the knockout hole for the connecter and with the 14 gauge wire coming through the connecter there was no room for everything. I had to knockout a hole towards one of the ends and extend the wiring to meet the incoming power cable. I suggest a slight engineering modification to move and center the transformer between knockouts and provided enough wire to meet the incoming cable OR offset the center knockout to accommodate the clamp connector to the side of the transformer (Least expensive mod) But still provide enough hook-up wire. Once re-installed IT WORKS GREAT with plenty of light on the work surface--Momma is happy which makes everyone happy!! read more
