We came here for a quick breakfast. It was located down the street from our hotel. There seemed to be a good amount of college students and locals here. It was rush hour before work so mostly everyone was grabbing food to go. They had a decent breakfast menu. I ordered the Classic which came with scrambled egg, bacon, and cheddar cheese on an everything bagel. To drink I ordered an iced coffee. It came out quickly and we brought it to our table. The meal was underwhelming. The bagel was dry and not crispy at all. The egg was rubbery and felt as if it was reheated in the microwave. The coffee was not good and had a bitter after taste. For around $15 total I expected something a lot better. I would probably end up going to a Wawa next time I am in need of breakfast.

I really like this spot. Lots of options for seating and big windows that look out to Broad street. They have a board of seasonal specialty coffee drinks that are pretty good! They have some options for eating and sweet treats too. I like that it's connected to the Wilma Theater because it gives it a nice vibe. When I was here last, it was a cold and rainy day and was excited to order the Irish coffee but learned that the alcohol options are only sold when there is a show! Totally fine though, because I enjoyed my warm latte. If you are looking to hang for a bit this is a good spot with decent coffee and bites!

This is a good coffee shop to stop at if you're in the area- however it's very bare bones. I got a black cup of coffee and a cinnamon raisin bagel. The bagel was served with cream cheese, but they don't offer to toast the bagel, which is a bit odd. There is ample seating in this cafe and they have free WiFi

Pretty good coffee, ample seating, not much beyond though. Came by here for my daily caffeine fix. Servers were attentive, put in my order and was asked how strong I wanted it. Got a double shot of espresso and no flavors. There was plenty of seating and the seats themselves were comfy. The breakfast sandwich menu seemed extensive but the baked goods looked lacking. Got my coffee, was a little too bitter. Some sugar free sweetener helped a bunch though. It's good coffee, and a great spot for a respite. Overall nothing fantastic, but good enough

It is a large, wide open space with plenty of seating. Of only the food was good!

We walked to the end of the block our hotel was on to check out Good Karma Cafe. It is priced too high for what they are selling. Having said that, I know prices are high everywhere and staying in the food service industry is hard, hard, hard. I wore my six lb Chihuahua in her wrap into the cafe. No one said anything. They have ample seating inside and out. The cafe is located in the lobby of a theater. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on sour dough toast. But it was as dry as the desert. Nothing on the toast. I ordered an extra side of bacon. It was a good serving size, hot, and on its own plate. The bathrooms are very clean. The coffee is fine. If the sandwich had been buttered or margarined I would have given at least another Star.

Great mid-day stop-off in our travels on our only day in Philly. I had the veggie delight vegan sandwich on sourdough - very fresh and as expected. My companions got the bagel and lox with an extra bagel and shared it. There was nice citrus water available. Service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is bright and open and clean.

I ordered a 10 oz cappuccino with double shot. They said they can make it. When it came out it was their standard size. I asked for what I ordered. The barista tried to convince me it was all good. Then pretended to remake it. Barista removed some milk and put it back on the counter. A runner came in trying to use the bathroom during Broad street run. Barista would not give the bathroom code, said you need to purchase first. Bad karma. Stay away.

Came here on the way home from a workout class. I was craving some post workout grub and it did not disappoint. There were lots of people studying as well so I definitely could study here in the future. They have decaf drip coffee which is always a plus for me.

Like their clean environment & the mini Buddha statue! They're making the drinks & food on real time by two people so it took a bit longer to order. I ordered the iced Americano (the only decaf coffee they have in this cafe they said). It was a bit bitter but not having high acidity in their espresso shots!

This swanky, hip place…read moreoffers up elevated tasty food and superb service in an exquisitely decorated, albeit small, cafe. We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

The place is small, but it feels cozy and not crowded. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee and the pork banh mi, which were both so good. The Vietnamese coffee is not like the traditional Viet coffees you'd get at a pho place (shoutout Pho75 for the best iced Vietnamese coffee in Philly); Brown Street's is very strong and thick and doesn't really have that sweet condensed milk taste. Still, it was unique, chocolately and smooth, and also really caffeinated! Their pork banh mi is one of the BEST banh mis I've had in general-- the pork is tender and juicy, and it is topped with an ample amount of pickled vegetables. Every part of the sandwich from the crispy bread, fresh toppings, and flavorful, juicy meat was done perfectly. Oh, and the banh mi is pretty decently sized for what you pay. Definitely highly recommend!

Some of us wanted a bite to eat, while others just wanted a beverage, so this was the perfect middle ground. I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich on a long roll, as well as an iced mocha. We ordered our drinks on the walk there and we hoped they would be ready when we arrived. When we walked in the time changed to add about 15 min on which was a bit annoying however we were not in a rush so we calmly waited. I got the hot matcha latte and it was really good. I like only a drop of sweetener bc I like to taste the matcha. I like it served temperature hot (not warm)- and this drink arrived exactly the way I like it. Would def come back for another one. My bf got some kind of coffee w cardamom in it (sorry I forget which kind - I'm not a coffee drinker and they all sound the same to me ha). He really enjoyed his drink. He had a BOGO coupon so we each actually got 2 drinks. I planned to take my second one home but the drink was so good I drank both of them ha. Will def be back again.

It's the fanciest looking coffee house I ever visited, there's outside seating which is nice and the inside is lit up with warm yellow lighting throughout, very spacious with tables and wicker like chairs. It seems like a great spot to meet up with a friend or to visit, find a corner read or work. It looks like a family establishment, as I noticed there were children behind the register, a young man, maybe 10 years old took my order and did a great job doing so! Bravo! I purchased a vanilla hot matcha latte and a pistachio milk cake, the total was about $21!!! This price was expensive, visiting establishment like this often is not feasible to my budget but there's so much more I need to try so I'll be back. The matcha was amazing, actually the most authentic I've tried!!! And the pistachio milk cake was delicious, being a person who literally puts milk on cake lol, this was amazing!!! It wasn't too sweet and the pistachio gave balance! The slice is enough to share or split for 2 servings, which is what I did. Bottom line, I'll be back! I'd love to try their coffee and another pastry and possibly sit outside on a nice day. Please visit and enjoy!!!
