I'd 110% use Good Life Moving again and especially request Manny, Vic, and Maurice. Our stuff arrived BEAUTIFULLY. Nothing and I mean NOTHING was caved in, broken, or had any problems. Manny and his team took such great care of our items. It is NOT easy loading things the correct way into a POD that has to be shipped over 2,000 miles. These guys did an incredible job. I'll provide a recap of how things went. We hired Good Life Moving through PODs. PODs connected us with Moving Staffers who connected us with Good Life Moving. We hired the guys for 3 hours and we made the most out of the three hours. We had everything pre-wrapped and ready to be moved into the POD. We tried to make the job easier for the guys. We left the heavy furniture to be moved from the 2nd floor down to the 1st floor. I jumped in to help move furniture as needed. With the pre-wrapping, and helping the 3rd man out move furniture down, we were able to give the guys enough time to fill the entire POD. We were able to maximize those 3 hours we paid for. It is a bit expensive, but the work they did was incredible and honestly, worth it. If I could do anything over again, I think I would want to go through Good Life Moving directly instead of going through Moving Staffers. I recommend them. ESPECIALLY Manny, Vic, and Maurice. I was giving the name of Good Life Moving Service through Home Advisor's at the end of June. I spoke to Ireni and was give a quote for the move. I spoke to LaJoy at the office after that to set up for a person to come out to give me an estimate after seeing my items. The person came out on July 5th to see everything that I had to move and I waited until 9th of July for the contract. On July 9th I call the office and was greeted by the VERY UNPROFESSAL Ms. LaJoy. One of the estimators over heard the conservations, and said he would handler the call. After that I was sent a contract on July 9th. I call the office back this morning July 10th and was told that the Estimator would give me a call back. After not hearing from anyone by 2:00 I call back. I am so incredibly thankful for Good Life movers. They arrived right on time and are very professional. The men are still unloading my truck, but they've done such an amazing job already that I couldn't wait. All three men have been so nice and willing to work their butts off. They've been dealt a rough hand with my move (bad truck parking, lots of heavy stuff, moving to the 4th floor, etc), but they're still working hard. I can't say enough good words about how polite and hard-working they are. I'm truly grateful that I hired Good Life and that their movers and other employees are so wonderful. For those of you who do hire Good Life, just make sure you triple check your inventory list and all the details of your move. There was some confusion about the apartment being on the 4th floor and some of the larger items, but we sorted it out. I had to pay a little bit more, but it was totally worth it! Do not use under any circumstances! These were not professional movers. They didn't even use the ramp that came with the trailer. They did not tarp the floor of the trailer, they did not use most of the strapping we provided. Many items were simply thrown in, loose. So many of our things were broken that we had to sweep out the trailer when it was all empty. Broken glass, toys, Christmas ornaments, broken pieces of furniture, all over the trailer. The professional movers who unloaded for us here in Florida, told us that "it look like it had been packed by children". The first 9 feet of boxes had fallen forward because they were not strapped, crushing boxes and ruining prescious, irreplaceable memories. Highly Highly Recommend!!! We just hired GoodLife Moving to load a 16' Pod to be shipped across the country. They were unbelievably GREAT! They called me twice the night before to discuss the project and then in the morning to tell me they were on their way and the eta. These guys were really careful with moving and packing our belongings. They over-wrapped the loose pieces with the appropriate supplies (which they brought). Move on and do not consider them! They move me on July 10th, 2014. Broke an arm chair which supposedly they took to fix . Almost 3 months later no chair! This was a white Queen Anne Chair. They broke a plate ( quite nice and not the cheapest) , they refused to even consider paying, replacing it since : OUR POLICY IS THAT IF WE DO NOT PACK WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THINGS. I don't usually write reviews but felt it necessary based solely on my actual movers Chris and Jordan. My move itself from Chicago to NYC had many hiccups and that was not at the fault of Good Life Moving Service. Although there was some miscommunication between the truck with my actual stuff and the moving company, all of those issues were forgotten on actual move in day when Chris and Jordan showed up. They had to deal with a broken freight elevator and a walk down the block from the actual truck to the elevator they could use. Despite all of that they kept it upbeat and got all of my stuff in safely and in 2.5 hours! They were truly the A1 team. If I have to move again I want to ask for them directly. read more

8/31/17 I entered into a contract with Good Life Movers, NJ on 7/27/17. A deposit of $100 cash was given to them. We agreed on Aug 31 to be the moving date. I was told that someone would call me the day before to give me a time frame when to expect them. I took off work and my son gave up OT to receive the furniture. On Aug 30 I called the company because I had not heard from them. I spoke to Jennifer, the receptionist. She confirmed that the movers would arrive between 9 and 11 on Aug 31. On Aug 31 at 10:20am I called the moving company and I was told by Jennifer 2 separate things. First, she told me that there was an issue with the truck and that they were trying to get another truck to come for my furniture. But, that it might not be until 2 or 3pm because there were 2 jobs ahead of mine. My question to her was "how could there be 2 jobs ahead of mine before 9am? What time does the company start moving people?" It was then that she told me that my appointment was pushed back to 11 to 1pm. No one had the decency to call me and let me know that information. So, at this point I realized that I was being lied to. First it was a truck issue and now it's my appointment was pushed back. Which one is it? Jennifer told me that the manager would call me to explain, in a few minutes. Well, 20 minutes later I called back and told Jennifer that I had not heard anything from the manager, Dexter. A few minutes afterward a gentleman named Mr. K called me to apologize for the confusion. He explained to me that they were at another job and the would be finished as quickly as possible and hopefully be here for my furniture by 1pm. This interaction with Mr. K confirmed that I was being jerked around the whole time. Movers finally showed up at 3pm. There were only 2 of them. The contract called for 3. They were very nice and careful with my furniture. I felt bad because they really needed that 3rd person when it was time to move the piano, especially at the receiving end when they had to get it up several steps. At one point I thought it was going to fall down on the poor kid at the bottom of the steps. Even though you're not supposed to help my son jumped in to keep the piano from going down the steps. I do not recommend this company because customer service was awful. Management never called to follow up or apologize for trying to deceive me. read more

Don't let their initial pleasant demeanor fool you. I booked these guys for a move out of a 1200square foot condo into an apartment 45 min away of similar size....so nothing TOO CRAZY. They initially moved very fast and had the car packed within 3hrs---when we got to the second location it all feel apart. Took them almost another 7 hours to unload, they had to call in back up and we ended up having to tip all 6 movers a total of 500 dollars. Once they left is when it really got bad. We found the leg of one of our couches in the backyard....our sectional no longer locked together....our china cabinet doesn't close properly anymore..... and there was a total of 3 holes put in the wall. Also, the end of the move their nice attitudes turned into a mentality that they were doing us a favor and we hadn't given them enough tip. Weeks later when I asked for not only a refund due to all of the broken furniture I asked them to reimburse me for all of the boxes I was inadvertently charged for....guess who I haven't heard back from 3 months later????? Did I forget to mention they didn't bring a large enough truck the first time so needed to come back and didn't do so until a week later?? We didn't even live there anymore. Only giving stars for the actual movers because it wasn't their fault for being FOUR hours late. I was told they would be at my apartment in between 8 and 9 am. Wasn't able to get in contact with anyone until 10 am because their phone number was disconnected??? I had to call the company that shares the building with Good Life in order to get in contact with anyone. They finally showed up at 1:10pm. The moving took longer than expected especially because the movers had to take a lunch break (not their fault, they had been working since 7 am). DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS! My wife and I just moved from Brooklyn, NY to Gainesville, FL using a ABF U-Pack truck. Because I would already be in Florida when it was time to move our things, we decided to hire professional movers to load the trailer as my wife is unable to do it herself. Goodlife Moving was hired through Moving Staffers (also recommend avoiding that company) and cost $525 for 2 movers for 3 hours, with each additional hour after the first 3 costing an additional $90/hr. Because of the way U-pack works in Brooklyn, the trailer can only be on the street for 4 hours, after which ABF will charge an additional fee per extra hour, due to this tight timing, we scheduled the movers and the trailer to arrive in the same time range, between 9 and 10 am. The ABF trailer arrived right on time, but the movers were no where to be seen so I called the GoodLife Movers dispatch number, who told me that they were running late and should be there shortly, and the driver would call me when they were nearby. When the driver finally called it was already after the arrival time period, he told me they were stuck in traffic and couldn't give me an ETA of when they would arrive. They ended up arriving a full 2 hours after their scheduled arrival time, and had a terrible attitude as soon as they arrived. Even with being 2 hours late, they didn't begin loading our belongings onto the trailer for a full hour after they arrived! (luckily our ABF driver noted all of this on our bill so ABF did not charge for any additional time). When they did start loading the trailer they did a terrible job and had no regard for our belongings, they COMPLETELY IGNORED ALL INSTRUCTIONS and also completely ignored our "fragile" and "this side up" box markings. They just crushed and shoved boxes until they sort of fit, stacking heavier boxes on top of boxes marked as fragile and generally doing a terrible job. After loading the furniture pieces on the truck, they stacked all the boxes in the hallway, barricading my wife in the bedroom so she could not get out, they then left for a FULL HOUR (which they noted as a 30 min lunch break). It should be noted that we were moving from a 1 bedroom apartment on the ground level and we did not have a lot of stuff: all together we had 1 bed, 1 dresser, 1 ikea TV stand cabinet, 1 drafting table, 1 small couch and probably about 40 boxes varying in size from small to large (Uhaul boxes). There was NO REASON to crush boxes to fit. We also provided 12 moving blankets and 6 ratchet straps to help secure things properly on the truck. They used only 2 blankets and 2 straps. They took the drawers out of our antique dresser and TOSSED them on top of the couch, so I have to now repair several broken drawers and the finish on the dresser itself was also badly damaged due to not using any moving blankets on it. They destroyed an antique painting that has been passed down in our family by shoving it between two pieces of furniture instead of on top like we instructed. They then closed the bulkhead of the trailer so we could not see how terribly they had packed it. They ended up charging us an additional 115 dollars for extra time which they only needed because they were late and completely incompetent. The movers we used in Gainesville to unload the trailer said it was the worst loading job they had ever seen. They were able to unload the entire truck and place all our furniture in 1 hour and 40 minutes. (took Goodlife Movers 5 hours to load it? Somethings not right there). Moving staffers has refused to take any responsibility or offer any refund or compensation for the damages caused to our belongings. This is a very belated review but here goes.. I had a very positive experience with GoodLife Moving. I had three guys help me move from a third floor walk up to a first level condo. They arrived within their time window, were very nice, and very fast. They even called me Miss Lewis! When we got to my new place, they put everything where I instructed, and the one guy even gave me a suggestion with how to set up my living room! I kept it that way, too!! (ZERO stars) Good Life Moving Service gave me BED BUGS. Save yourself a year and a half (and counting) of grief, and use ANY other company. Aside from being an hour late and taking 4 hours to move me out of my tiny studio apartment (should have been 2 hours), and letting my father do a lot of the work himself because he knew we were on the clock, and then taking 3 hours to drive what I drove in 1.5 hours to meet on the other end (in the middle of a day on Wednesday)... Aside from tearing the back of my couch in multiple spots because they did not wrap my items (mattress, couch) in plastic until they brought it down to the truck, and then only wrapping the couch VERY poorly... Aside from noticeably scratching my book shelves...The drivers, unbeknownst to me at the time, did a little side deal with my downstairs neighbor, and decided that, yes, they would take his/her(?) mattress, box spring, and office chair to the DUMP (how did that not tip them off??). So after they loaded all of my items, they loaded my neighbor's BED BUG-ridden mattress and box spring and laid them across the top of ALL OF MY POSSESSIONS. Can you imagine?? EVERYTHING you own is now sprinkled with bed bugs. My bed, couch, all of my clothes, winter coats, holiday decorations, therapy materials I use to work with children, books, blankets, pillows, hats, shoes, kitchen items, pictures, photo albums, luggage, toiletries, EVERYTHING is now contaminated with bed bugs. ESPECIALLY since they took and extra hour and a half to drive the short distance. At the time, the company DID forgive my few hundred dollars in moving expenses. But since that day, I have incurred MANY other charges to rid myself of bed bugs. I had to hire a bed bug sniffing dog to see where there might be bed bugs in my items. I purchased expensive poison strips. Did loads and loads and loads of laundry. I had to unpack EVERYTHING I OWN (that I had taken great pains to organize into carefully labeled boxes) into huge, smelly garbage bags and place poison strips in them for weeks. (You cannot just bug bomb bed bugs. They do not die; they just run away and become someone else's problem. I chose to do this responsibly.) To be safe, I have kept everything in the bags for over a year now (the hearty adult bed bugs can live for up to a year without a blood meal). I have had to replace MANY things in order to have clothing and items available to me, as any human needs. Many of my items are just completely damaged. Would you like to me to serve you food from my plastic/rubber cutting boards, bowls, and kitchen utensils having had them sit in poisoned bags for weeks? How about let your children play with the blocks and toys I use in therapy... and put them in their mouths? Wrap a poison scarf around your neck? Care to cozy up with one of my poisoned books? I'll serve you tea in one of my mugs... I contacted a lawyer after it happened, made a list of everything damaged, and all of the money I put out to eradicate the bed bugs. Good Life has yet to reimburse me. As far as I am aware, they haven't even made an offer to settle. I have been patient. I will be placing this review everywhere I can. The appointment was set for 9:00a.m, I received a call shortly after 9:00a.m. saying that their truck was blocked in and they would come as soon as they could. After not hearing from them for over an hour I called them back and asked for a status update. They told me they are still working on getting their truck out. They finally called close to 11:00a.m. and said the were lost but would be there shortly, the pickup location was one town over from their office. They arrived in a van that was not sufficient for the move, they ended up having to make two trips. I told the gentleman on the phone that it was a large sectional sofa and the movers were told it was a regular sofa. Upon the move they damaged one of my recliners, which now, no longer works. I chose this company because they had the lowest fee but I got what I paid for. I will not call them again for my next move. read more

The movers were really nice guys but they showed up 1.5 hours late when I had a specific reservation for the buildings elevator. The move that was scheduled for 4 hours took 7 hours. They also somehow managed to lose a leather couch cushion and instead of the company reimbursing me for the couch or at least for the move, the management accused me of scheming to lose a couch cushion on purpose to not pay for the move. This company is disgusting and utterly disrespectful. I am in the midst of coming forward with legal action due to my experience. Better business bureau and the NJ division of consumer affairs are being contacted as well. They had previously been fined by consumer affairs for their work but unfortunately I didn't know that until too late. Stay away from this company. Great pricing but horrible experience. A 1 bedroom move that cost approximately $500 is now going to cost me ~$1500 after having to buy a new leather couch. Wish I could give zero stars. read more
