Great service and support from Good Lock today - can I give 6 stars? Had a problem with our four-unit mailbox as the front door panel had jammed. Could not receive any mail until problem was fixed. Came out within an hour of talking on the phone and Good Lock determined that the top screw from the unit's door hinge had come out of alignment and was jamming the door. Was able to repair and now door panel works while the warranty issue can be addressed. Would not take any fees as it was a relatively quick adjustment. I called Thursday night at 8:30, hoping for an appointment the next day and was told they could meet me at my house between 3 and 4:00 but would call first. They did exactly that- wow! He called at 2:30 and came at 3:15 and fixed three locks within 20 minutes. The fee was $45 for the house call and $35 per lock, a total of $150. Now, at a per hour rate, that's very high, but as it was itemized, it was a very fair price. He just happened to be knowledgeable and fast! Awesome, and worth every cent. He tried very hard to get our lock opened but because we live in an apt it wasn't able to open in traditional ways, unfortunately, we needed to have the lock replaced. Our key had been sticking in the lock for several weeks, and we had put off calling a locksmith until after our wedding-- then the key finally snapped in half in the deadbolt the night we got home. We thought we would have to get the whole mechanism replaced to match our existing key, and blocked out Saturday morning to get it fixed. Called on Wednesday night to get a quote and make an appointment ahead of time. He said $95 and, if I was home, he could come right now. Two minutes later he's at my door and gets to work. After looking at the lock and a spare key, he says he can actually just repair it, not replace it, which he does in maybe ten minutes. He also adjusted the strike plate so that the deadbolt would slide in more smoothly-- all this for ten dollars less than he originally quoted me. The lock works like a charm now!
