Not worth your time! If I could give zero stars I would. My wife and I stopped in after moving to Manor recently. I had the country fried steak & my wife had the shrimp and a salad. The food was poor quality and served on styrofoam plates! Worst country fried steak I have ever had!! My wife's salad was not fresh and the shrimp lacked flavor. It would not surprise me if all their food comes out of the freezer. The prices are also way to high for this area. This restaurant is in the countryside and yet, they are priced like downtown Chicago! Maybe if you were looking to get drunk and didn't care where you did it, you might come here; but for food I will never be back. We've been stopping here for years (at least ten) and it's always, always been great! Their building expansion is terrific and only added to an already wonderful experience! We have never been disappointed, their tea is always good, fries are hot and crispy, burgers are delicious and they even offer gluten free bread! It will continue to be our stop in place when we're passing through! read more

I have been going to Good Luck Grill for 4 years and will keep going. It is one of those places where the wait staff are regular and helpful, the food is consistently good, good portion sizes, nice covered outdoor area for kids to play and even a game or two for adults. I like their chili cheese fries and chicken fried chicken and my sons like their burgers and fries. This is one of those places you just find and know about!!!! This place is so cute and cozy. Sitting outside is very calming and the staff is so nice. I really liked it. The only problem I had with everything was for the price the food was very bland. It looked so good and we were ready to dive in but at first bite, it was like having my grandmother cook for me after having Alzheimer's. She couldn't remember recipes so she stopped seasoning everything . Also, when we were called to pick up the food at the counter which took us less then a minute, the food was room temperature. Not warm or hot so, that was also disappointing. For $42 I could have had a really tasty hot burger and fries from Whataburger. read more

HUSH PUPPIES are the star of the show. It's convenient southern comfort food in Manor. Good change of pace from the other types of food that are near by. Restaurant selections are scarce out in manor so it's nice to come by one that gives that comfort, southern hospitality. read more

Originally gave this spot 5 stars but they haven't been consistent in the past 6 months. Burgers used to be fire (I'd get the Triple Crown) but now it tastes very bland. Also tried the chili cheese burger and had to hook it up with complete seasoning, salt, and garlic before it tasted half way decent. My husband gets the western burger and oftentimes finds the outer layer of onion skin on it, which is not edible. Now I just forgo the burgers and get the chicken sandwich (which has been good) or the chicken salad sandwich, which has been a hit or miss. First time at Good Luck Grill today, and we got the fried chicken burger, fried zucchini, onion rings, and shrimp platter. The staff was really nice and food came out fast. Everything was hot and good, and the back patio and play area for our 3 year old toddler was amazing. The restaurant and property is just beautiful, and they have lovely rose bushes and trees on their property for customers to enjoy. Came to Lucky Grill a while back so wanted to try it again. I really enjoyed it when I came the last time the Chicken Fried Steak was great ! So came in with the in laws and got the catfish dinner. I love catfish with coleslaw. Nope not here the catfish was good the hush puppies where cold the fries were warm but the coleslaw was awful I never had coleslaw made with lettuce. I complained but was told it wasn't made with lettuce but I took the lettuce out . It was made with lettuce and I don't like being lied to. read more

Today was my second visit. Both have been 'to go' since we live right up the street. Ordered the Family Fried Catfish Dinner the first time on 9/4/16, for my birthday. Today's trip was "just because"... we have been thinking about that catfish ever since our first meal. Today's order was 15 catfish filets a la carte & lg. coleslaw. The catfish is THE shining star here! Hot, crisp yet tender, perfectly cooked with no greasiness or stale oil taste- to which I am extremely sensitive. If the oil is beginning to age, I can taste it...and it's a taste I hate. None of that here!!! Today I made jambalaya at home to go with the 'take out catfish & coleslaw'. I even made tartar sauce, just in case...but the sweet lady behind the counter offered me some. Hers is great, so I went with that. They tossed in lemons and hushpuppies, too, on our a la carte order. This really rounded out our meal. Good Luck Grill is a real gem in Manor. It's very casual, cute as can be inside & has a nice area outside, as well. I think next time we'll eat there. Ordered 5 baskets and one of my baskets was wrong. Called and spoke to the Manager (a lady). The manager asked if I could come back to get the slice of tomatoe and onion that was missing on my burger. I told her I cannot because I have 4 kids with me. I than asked for a credit for next time she decline. I would recommend better customer service next time I will just go to Whataburger or McDonalds at least they have customer service and cheaper prices. There are times when you just want a big fat juicy burger and you don't want anybody to ask you any questions. This is the place. I had the good fortune to eat at Good Luck Grill both inside and take out and both times were great. When we are inside, it has the feel of a mom and pop shop. Still very clean and spacious. When we did take out, our order was ready super quick and it was fresh and well made by the time I got back home. The burgers are great, the catfish is incredible, the sides are delicious. I had lunch here today with about 8 other folks. It is a bit of a drive from Austin. As long as it is not during rush hour that's OK to me. I chose chicken fried steak as I am on an eternal quest to find the best (or one that stacks up to Joe's BBQ in Alvin which I have reviewed). The meat was flavorful and tender! It was bit too thin. The gravy was good. The frying getting there. I will say it is the best I have had in the Austin area but it is not Joe's. I did feel it was pricey. I will go back as I love the atmosphere. The decor is fun. What I am looking forward too is the great outdoors when it is a bit cooler. This place is in the middle of farmland. So there is a breeze. The place is set up for hanging out - outside. Looks like they have washer toss, a place for horseshoes and a grand play area for kids. And there is live music occasionally. I look forward to going out here with my family on some weekend soon! I hear the catfish is really good too! read more

So glad we found this gem in Manor! Decided to visit on the recommendation of a friend and we were very satisfied with the meal. I ordered the catfish toes and coleslaw. The bf had the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes and a side salad. The catfish toes were some of the best catfish I've had in some time, hands down the best Ive had in Manor. The bf had only good things to say about his chicken, and the mashed potatoes were rich and flavorful. (The only downside for me was no mac n' cheese or yams on the menu. But that's not enough to deduct for) There's a reason this place has such high reviews, if you are looking for fried and/or southern cooking this is the place to go in Manor. read more

I absolutely love this place I'll come here every time I stop into Manor to visit my parents. It's kind of a hidden gem off FM973, When you come up to this place you don't know what to expect yummy catfish out here?? You'd be surprised I always either have the catfish basket or half w/ shrimp. I love that fact that this place is very kid friendly I can enjoy my food on they're patio and watch them play. Awesome. Quiet little place in the country...... but not for long. We had the blt and the frito pie and fried pickles. The bet was awesome , great Smokey bacon. Frito pie was killer. The chili was great lots of taste and came with side of minced onions. Very tasty. The fried pickles were out of this world. The best that I have ever had!!! Very crust and light breading, almost like tempura batter. Not greasy all all. Pickles were sour and very fresh. Service was great, the lady behind counter was super friendly.
