I came here for breakfast on Sunday with my mom and son and it was very delicious. I got the biscuits and gravy which came with eggs, bacon, and a side of pancakes which I chose the bacon pancakes. The biscuits were very fresh and fluffy, and the pancakes were good also. This place was also very busy which should tell you just how good the food is. Definitely a fairly frequent customer.

Service is attentive, responsive, and friendly. Our waitress gave us great suggestions, especially when eating the Dutch baby pancake. Cut like a pie topped with powdered sugar and lemon juice! We also tried the maple syrup way on another slice. Part crepe, part pancake, and part sweet quiche is the best way the Dutch baby pancake! Inside the pancake house is a warm, rustic, and welcoming environment. Perfect switch on your breakfast or brunch routine.

Thirty years ago there was an "Original House of Pancakes in our neighborhood. They moved away and we never did understand WHY? We missed them very much. We finally went to the one on Partner Lane to introduce our Grandson to the Dutch Baby and Apple Pancake! He LOVED them and the special experience. "Bigger and Better" than expected!

Ok, I think this is my second review and I must say I think I've figured this place out. 1. As soon as you think about eating here, get on the wait list. This joint is quite popular on the weekends. 2. Expect to be blessed with their choices. 3. You will have the best servers, so treat (tip) them properly. We dined here on the Sunday before Christmas 2025 and it was busy, yet nice at the same time. They offer something for everyone, even "Gluten Free" options. Our serve was the best. I took this shot while he was running around refilling coffee and busing tables. As much as I hate to bring extra business, you have to try this place. Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.

It's not super often that a restaurant is worth the hype. But lemme tell you, this place is 1000% worth the hype. Staff is super friendly, servers are great, food is great - not like tons of butter fake make you sick kinda great, but like it's good real food and cooked beautifully and the value for what you get is fantastic. $35 for all this and it was enough to feed at least 5. You can't even get that kind of value with fast food!!! Super busy but they keep it clean. I am looking forward to my next trip to Austin to try something else on the menu. Corned beef hash was delicious, pancakes and French toast... chefs kiss! And those eggs fluffy somewhere between regular scrambled and soufflé. And I don't like eggs at all.

Grateful to have always lived near a location of The Original Pancake House - California, Illinois, and now Texas! This location is fantastic. Love that they have the Yelp waitlist option. We added our names to the waitlist before leaving home, and after checking in with the host upon arrival only had to wait for 5 minutes for a table! The wait is otherwise insane. After being seated in a cozy booth, we enjoyed hot coffees and perused the extensive menu. After much consideration, we decided to order the banana pancakes to share, along with a bacon and eggs combo. The bacon and eggs combo came with hashbrowns. The bacon was too chewy for my personal taste, and hash browns lacked salt/flavor. The eggs were cooked per our request just fine. The banana pancakes were the star of our breakfast. Served hot off the griddle, these pancakes were soft and fresh. They came topped with banana slices and were served with fresh butter + syrup. Absolutely delicious and IMO the best pancakes in town. 10/10.

If you are looking for a place with large servings, reasonable prices and delicious food this is your place. The wait can be long so I highly suggest you join the Yelp online waitlist. Once seated, service is unbelievably fast. If you plan on ordering the Dutch pancake it takes about 40 minutes to cook, so order this immediately once seated. You definitely won't be disappointed. The portions are large and shareable if you wanted to try a few things with multiple people. The berry crepe is extremely fresh and was more than enough for two people. If you are in the Austin area definitely check this place out. They have multiple locations as well.

First time I tried one of these was in Vegas and was really happy with it since I love pancakes. Yea this is a typical diner like ihop or dennys but their food tastes good unlike the other places. These are literally best pancakes you can get at a place like this. Really good. I got the original and son got Swedish. They even have lingonberry very impressed. If you are a pancake person this is the place to go.

Stopped by this place. Ordered the Farmers omelette, Pigs in a Blanket kids plate, and silver dollar pancakes. The omelette filled up the plate with a bed of hash brown underneath and ordered French Toast so fluffy. The service was great. Coffee was delicious for me. The kids loved their breakfast. The ambience is casual. This place gets packed. I recommend if you want an American hearty breakfast. Next time i will order the Dutch Baby pancakes. Looks enticing.

one of the best pancakes i've tasted in my life! dishes we got: regular pancakes apple pancake combination plate (bacon, eggs, hash browns) the apple pancake is one of their specialties (takes 30 minutes to make), but i thought their regular plain pancakes were the best. nice little hack: they have a yelp waitlist, so i joined about an hour before i wanted to go and didn't have to wait in line there. they do require everyone in the party to arrive before getting seated.

My friend's last meal before he moved out of Texas. Im very content with the food and the service. I don't eat a lot so im thankful they let me order from the Kid's/Junior Menu. On top of that, they substituted my pork sausage links for turkey sausage. Yay! Zero wait on a Wednesday morning. I'd recommend this place for anyone craving a hearty breakfast

I just realized I have not been here for a long time. I left my review back in 2019, and I was very surprised how everything has been changed. The service from the host area to wait staff was pleasant and very friendly. Food was good, pretty traditional and expected for a pancake place. We ordered Migas and couple of kids plates. Portions were good, solid I would say, bottomless regular coffee was a nice addition. The only thing is, staff should mention if something on menu would cost extra. That would help to avoid any confusion at the end. We got ham with kids menu, I wanted them to try, they did not want it. Ended up paying up charge of $3-4 at the end. Again, no big deal, but since no one ate eat I still had to pay, and knowing cost upfront I may not ordering it. In overall it was a very pleasant experience, I would definitely come back. Ambiance reminded me another broken egg, the only difference this place is much closer to me.

As soon as I walked in, I felt welcomed. The ambience was great! The host was attentive and cordial, and our server, Eliseo, was incredible from start to finish. There were so many great choices on the menu that I asked for his recommendations, and he took the time to explain different options, what they came with, and what customers usually enjoyed most. He was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care that I had a great first experience there. I decided to go with the Chorimigas based on his suggestion. I also noticed that Carne Guisada was on the menu and asked how it compared to a competitor's. Without me expecting it, Eliseo brought out a small portion for me to try so I could decide for myself, which really shows how much he goes above and beyond for his guests. I'm so glad he did! The carne guisada was delicious, if not better than the competitor's. The flavor was unique but still classic and comforting. Chef Mina heard my comments about the carne guisada and came out to introduce herself. I turned beet red, it was unexpected but very flattering! (I got a bit emotional as it was a rough morning.) She was incredibly hospitable and asked for my opinion and thoughts on the competitor. It was a brief but meaningful conversation about the dishes, and I truly appreciated her taking the time to connect. Eliseo remained attentive throughout the entire visit, checking in at the right times, making sure everything tasted great, and keeping a friendly, welcoming attitude the whole time. His service truly elevated the entire experience, and I can't thank him enough for going the extra mile. I highly recommend him!!! I even purchased a souvenir coffee mug because I couldn't leave without one! This truly made my morning!!! I'll definitely be coming back for the carne guisada. Highly recommend this amazing restaurant! (Used Google Translate)

Our waiter was amazing. He was very attentive knew what to recommend and was very nice and a fun person also. This time we started off with a golden beats and let me tell you they were delicious and the cheese that they use at the bottom is just phenomenal. This is definitely something you need to get. We also started off with the muscles and they were delicious. The broth that they were in was so good. You could literally drink it and you just wanted to submerge your bread in it. I also got an espresso martini to wake up because I've been so jetlagged and it was perfect. it was a good balance of the espresso and not sweet. I love that they don't use milk here unlike other places. My mother got the opera spritz and it was delicious. Very well balanced. It was not Avril heavy like some places tend to do. My mother got the Braised pork pasta, and it was divine. This was full of flavor a good amount of sauce not salty. We also got the chefs butcher pizza and it was amazing. I loved that you can tell they make all the ingredients there and the bread is just so good. Also had some kind of sauce on there with some piece of cheese that just balanced it so good. Definitely thanks to this experience. I will say I will keep going back. I'm thinking maybe when I first swim they were just having an off day but now trying the rest of these dishes. The red salsa didn't taste like it was made in house but the green salsa did Agua Fresca was good size and not overly sweet Portion of nachos was good Only one server/bartender working so she took a while to take drink and food order Service was lacking but I would go back to try some of their other menu options. Maybe service will be better next time.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough to speak on. We sat at…read morethe bar, and Nicole was our server. From the start, her attitude was poor. Every time I tried to order, she would cut me off mid-sentence, making the whole interaction feel rushed and dismissive. The place wasn't busy, but she carried herself like it was, and I could hear her speaking to other guests the same way, so it clearly wasn't just us. I'm someone who genuinely likes to take care of people who take care of me, so I didn't want to give her a hard time but the service made it hard to enjoy being there. Unfortunately, the food didn't help either. The fries were cold and hard, the burger was underwhelming, and the wings weren't good at all. I still paid and didn't send anything back because that's just how I handle things, but overall, a lot needs to change here. I didn't realize this location had such a low rating until after I came in, and now I understand why..

Also some of the items are either not available or are for example the burger only, not the lunch burger with fires and a drink. This causes you to purchase the fries and drinks separately and the burger alone is now more points. OK enough complaining, still really good food, just now more expensive to have lunch here.
