Love this place! We drove in and saw the quilt square on the outbuilding and felt so welcome. It reminded me of so many wonderful Scandinavian quilt squares on the barns where I grew up. This winery is such a VIBE. My daughter and I weren't sure if we'd already been here but when we pulled into the parking lot, I knew we hadn't visited before . It's cozy and warm. We did a wine tasting and the sommelier was excellent and very well-informed. It was a nice day so we sat outside in the lawn chairs overlooking the creek. They also had bonfires available. Its a beautiful setting between Hamilton and Purcellville. There is ample parking and lots of outdoor seating overlooking the rolling hills of the vineyard. The tasting room inside is a spacious barn setting with seating and a bar area. We were quickly greeted and opted to do a tasting which included eight wines, plus they added a few samplings of other wines not included in the menu which was quite nice. Even when our sommelier got occupied helping another couple, a second and then a third sommelier came over and made sure to keep the tasting moving along at a nice relaxed but not slow pace. The wines were quite good, especially some of the reds. Its a great place to spend an afternoon! read more

Went to Three Creeks to start a wine tour of Leesburg, and it was an excellent start to the trip! Vonda took extremely good care of us, the wine was good (not amazing, but tasty), and the location was beautiful. The refurbished barn had plenty of seating, plus multiple outdoor options with a gorgeous view of the onsite vineyards. The tasting is at the bar only, it's 6 wines with a good mix of whites and reds (plus a very unique Cab Franc Rosé). Highly recommend! read more

I came here for the first time on July 3 with a friend and came back that following weekend with my husband and joined as a wine club member. I attended my first member event 2 weeks ago and it was a fun experience with delicious wine!! It is a more intimate setting than some of the other wineries in the area and it's nice to be able to talk to the owners! Edit: we also did a charcuterie board and crackers and it was very tasty!! This is for Cathy R's review. I am very familiar with this winery and they absolutely enforce the "no guests under 21+ except for infants 0-6 months". I was actually there on Saturday and it was quite busy. I saw the kids, who came on the property with their parents through the parking area. I am sure the staff didnt see them right away but a staff member did go over and mention to them that Three Creeks was a 21+ winery. They did leave shortly after. Heads up...don't bring your kiddos to this vineyard. Not only will you be turned away, you'll likely encounter the rude owners who make it very clear that your kids aren't welcome. All well and good, but man, pretty turned off by the tone and attitude by these folks. Way nicer vineyards, with better wine, and atmosphere than this stuffy place. We've lived in Northern Virginia since 2011 and have tried most of the familiar Leesburgh and Purcellville establishments over the years. But what a fantastic discovery this charming winery was on Father's Day this last weekend. This is a very warm and inviting place and feels less commercial than some of the other larger wineries around. We went there on the suggestions of a few people my wife works with and we were not disappointed. Hands down, 3 Creeks has the best selection of red wines we have tasted in Virginia, or outside Nappa Valley for that matter, and their whites are strong too. The sheer variety of wines they carry was impressive, including a delicious Cab Franc we drank there that tasted even better with the charcuterie and bread sticks we ordered along with a wonderfully rare Tannat that we took home. We went there just for the tasting but wound up joining as members on the spot. One of the owners, PJ, sat with us for a while and shared their story behind winemaking and that was most enjoyable. My sister in law, who joined us that day from California and who once owned a winery in Nortern California, was very impressed with their selection and, especially, price/value. Thanks to Lauren also for a wonderful tasting/pouring experience. We will be back, many times! read more

This has been by far the best winery experience in the area. The wine is superb. The winemaker here is making top wine. Our favorites were the Chardonnay and the Mourvèdre. The Cabernet franc is the best in the area. The hospitality was amazing. The owners are around saying hello to everyone. Matt at the tasting helped us understand each wine and explain the history of the place. We sat by the creek and had our bottle of wine in a pleasing quiet setting. You have to come here and spend an afternoon. We will surely be back. read more

This place is BEAUTIFUL. It wasn't crowded at all when we arrived around noon on a Saturday. The ladies serving the wine were friendly and I enjoyed chatting with them about the winery and the wines. The wines themselves weren't my favorite in the area but the girls I was with were impressed. We shared a bottle of rosé, which was perfect on a warm spring day. My friends and I went to Three Creeks on 11/13/2021. It was our first time there and we didn't know what to expect...outside of the Yelp reviews I had read. Well, the reviews led us correctly! The owner, PJ was circling around greeting and advising tables. She shared with us that we were there on the anniversary of Three Creeks being opened for 12 months. Having a successful opening through a pandemic speaks for itself. She provided everyone with free mini-cupcakes to celebrate the anniversary and truly seemed interested in our wine tastes and provided us with samples to help us determine what to order. The winery itself is on several acres of land, you can sit inside or outside. The venue is picturesque and has two floors although we failed to go downstairs (we sat upstairs and appreciated the views). You can bring outside food to the winery, so my friends and I did a potluck style of bringing snacks. The winery is low key and not too busy, there were open small and large tables when we arrived. The rose was FANTASTIC! We purchased several bottles, the Riesling was also quite good. I highly recommend this fairly new winery! read more

Had a great time T three Creeks today. Jen took care of us at our tastings and was full of great info. Some how we ended up meeting the wine makers mom (aka the makers maker) and she was a delight. Noticed the beautiful Trees and one of the owners took my husband to see the beautiful tables downstairs that was actually made of a fallen tree from the property. My husband and I came here for a Friday afternoon date while the kids were with grandma. This is probably my favorite winery in the area. The winery itself has rustic charm and is on a beautiful plot of land. We split the white and red flights, which were self guided tastings thanks to color coding. Standouts included the 2020 Sauvignon Blanc, Cab Franc, GSM, Melange Rouge, and Petit Manseng (which was really remarkable - we bought 2 bottles and weren't planning to purchase anything). My husband planned a cute date for us and this was such a beautiful place! We were greeted by Kathy (on her day off!) - and since dogs are not allowed in the tasting room she offered to watch our dog while we checked out the inside. We opted not to, but I went inside with Kathy while my husband found us a spot outside. Kathy listened to what I liked and helped curate a white tasting for myself and a red for my husband. I ended up really liking the Sauvignon Blanc! My husbands favorite was the Cabernet Frac. Tastings were $15-19 and bottles were from $28-45. PJ (the owner?) stopped by to say hello and chat with us for a little bit. She was very kind. The food truck...the menu wasn't extensive. My husband enjoyed the meatball appetizer and I had the cheese pizza (you'd never know it was cauliflower crust!) The spot we settled at was on the water. It was nicely shaded by the trees. And we felt like we had enough space to not worry about people sneaking up on our dog and that we could play a little bit of music. We let the dog walk thru the water a little bit. This is yet another winner in Loudoun County. It's so great to have so many options for wineries in Loudoun - no matter what section of the county you're driving around in, you will likely be very close to a great winery. This location is not far from Casanel and Willowcroft Wineries, two other favorites of mine. The wine is superb - currently during COVID they are offering a white flight or a red flight, and you can also mix and match in the flight. I had the white - the weather was perfect for it. Vidal Blanc and Petit Manseng were not as sweet as others I have tried in these varietals and the white flight included their rosé, done exactly how I like it (DRY). There are three creeks that wind through this property. You cross over one to enter their location, and the other two are in the picnic area. A fabulous selection of picnic tables and spots on the back patio to choose from. Some of the picnic tables are next to the creeks, which were babbling when I visited thanks to all the rain. And this is a "21 and over only" spot - sometimes you want to be, and need to be, away from kids. There are plenty of family friendly options in the county (and state). So it's great to have a few adults only locations now. Definitely worth a stop on your next winery "daycation." read more

Avoid this place. First, the good: it's a nice setting. Ample outside seating, shady spots to sit. Creek is pleasant. But there are other pretty places that treat their patrons better. And there are other wineries in the region that have much better wine. Bought two glasses: the Pinot noir and the GSM blend. They were not good. The pinot was thin, one-dimensional strawberry-like character. The GSM was bigger and less fruity, but a muddled and unbalanced mess. This winery is young and maybe they'll figure it out eventually, but for now they're not up to par with the other regional wineries. Finally: I bought the wine, closed out the tab, and went outside to a quiet, isolated spot near the creek where my wife and child (6 yo) were waiting. We barely had time to drink any of our glasses before the owner sprinted out to us and insisted we leave immediately because "they don't allow children." My kid was literally, as he tends to do, just silently sitting in a chair and reading a book. Apparently they have hand-scrawled a couple of small signs on their driveway that indicates this policy, but they are easy to miss, despite her protestations to the contrary. She also volunteered a rationale for excluding parents centered on safety--that the creeks are unsafe for children to be around. All the while, my kid is just sitting there on solid ground, ten whole feet from the water's edge, reading a book. I imagine that the winery rejects bachelor and bachelorette parties too, right? If they're making exclusionary policy decisions that are about their patrons' safety, they ought to be sure to keep anyone out that might become rowdy. Perhaps the aged should also be prevented from patronizing them--on average, they have problems with balance. What if they drown? You just can't trust some people around water! This policy is bad, and the owner should feel bad. This is not a welcoming environment. It is clear that the owner is not a reasonable person. TL;DR: The wine is mediocre and the owner is very unpleasant, despite what some other reviewers wrote here. Go spend your money and time at any one of the other dozen-plus wineries in the area. read more

What a delightful winery! My husband and some of our friends stopped here on the perfect fall day and tried a lot of Three Creeks' red wine options. The cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and melange rouge were our favorites, all had great flavor and were delicious in their own way. We thought the flight, glass and bottle prices were all really reasonable as well. The staff was also incredibly knowledgeable and kind, explaining the different wines, different tasting options etc. The setting is lovely! Lots of colorful trees and great views of the vines. There is ample outdoor seating on the patio and on the lawn, plus a few fire pits with Adirondack chairs; indoor seating is available on two levels. Several bathrooms, all clean. You can bring your own food/snacks or purchase some of the options they offer. This is an adults-only winery (21 and up), which was great, it made for a nice peaceful afternoon. Absolutely incredible wine and service! Their seating set up is really top notch; they go above and beyond with comfortable chairs right by the creek. The white wines in particular were delicious but the red wines were also delicious. I loved sitting by the creek drinking some delicious wines. We will definitely be coming back here! read more
