Another fantastic stop at Taylor's best coffee shop! Took our friend that manages a coffee shop in WI and he loved the flavors and options. He got a cortado and I got a cappuccino and we got a chocolate chip cookie and a rosemary lemon bar (my favs here)!

As soon as you enter, you get greeted, and she was super sweet. Really chill spot, not too many people in there. Ordered a delicious dirty chai latte and an almond pastry that was to die for! Mmm!

Local coffee shop with lots of character. I had some time to kill in Taylor and was so happy I tried this place. The Tahini Latte was subtly flavored and lightly sweet. I came in late in the day so there was not a ton to pick from in the pastry case but fate left me this little lemon square of goodness. The staff here were friendly but also had a great balance of leaving you alone to enjoy you food and the space. I would love to see some more specialty and seasonal drinks as they grow and add to their business. Rooting for you all!

I'd highly recommend the coffee and delicious treats at good strangers. Tucked away in an old building downtown is this hidden gem. I had the tahini latte, half sweet. It was smooth, savory, and the coffee still had a chance to shine. I also ordered the thyme apple muffin, I wish I could eat this everyday. 10/10 can I give it a 100/10? If so, I would. It made me want to try and make some at home. The barista was super friendly and helpful with his recommendations. I will definitely be back.

Good Strangers Coffee Iced Vanilla Latte

Brooke the Baker is super friendly! Red was also baking that morning. Brooke made a great cup coffee & suggested the Lavender Vanilla Blueberry muffin... Superb! Def my new #coffee & #muffin 'go to' cafe in #TaylorTX.

Being that we dont travel to Taylor that often, we thought we would hit a coffee spot after breakfast. The place is very hip for the Taylor area...Located in the Old section of DT they have a great layout and an awesome selection of coffee and treats. We both had cold coffee...Wife Latte and me Mocha...she ended up with a Vanilla Latte which was a bit on the sweet side...the Mocha was better but had chunks of chocolate....both lacked the coffee flavor or punch we are used to. Comes down to personal choice of your palette. Didnt get photos of the coffee, we hit the road after picking them up. We would come back to try there snack...they look amazing.

We stumbled upon this place on a side trip to Taylor and were so pleasantly surprised by all of the delicious gems they had to offer. This quaint cafe is just adorable with the sweetest staff and yummy, healthy food!

That style (but obviously not the name) continued with their move to Taylor. The place features quality, flavorful food simply presented. The printed menu regularly changes, and there are frequent appetizing (and sometimes mouthwatering) posts to their Facebook page. I wish I lived closer by, as I'm thinking my husband and I would become regulars. The eating area at Main Street includes 7 tables, with a total capacity of around 20 people. The parking area in the strip center is somewhat limited. My husband ordered an egg salad BLT and chips, and I had a corned beef sandwich. Each came with a pickle spear and a side. I loved my corned beef, and the potato salad was excellent. The portion size was adequate for the price. My husband was lukewarm on his sandwich choice. We had ice water to drink, at an additional, but IMO unwarranted, charge of 25 cents apiece given we each ordered a meal. Yes, we'd return... as it seems like there will always be something new and good to try. I'd suggest watching their Facebook page to get ideas of what they're serving.

The fried green tomatoes are great here but for me, almost everything else was a disappointment. Not as kid-friendly as you'd expect. It pains me to leave such a low rating (and I rarely do) but this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had in a while. And it didn't have to be that way so hopefully my review can grab someone's attention. This place has so much potential because it's in such a cool location -- the band hall of an old high school (fun decor and cool nostalgic vibes). I had really high hopes for this restaurant but it let me down. Here's what went wrong. THE FOOD: First and foremost, the food was disappointing... except for their vegetable appetizers. The fried green tomatoes were fantastic. Nailed it in terms of texture and flavor. My husband and I were both surprised by how good they were. Their Brussels sprouts appetizer was really good as well. After that, it was all downhill. I had the Mom's Meatloaf with two sides: Cowboy Caviar and green beans. The meatloaf wasn't bad but it wasn't exactly a loaf -- it was like meatballs connected together? I didn't taste the bacon in the tomato sauce and the portion felt tiny -- same size as the sides. The sides were a real letdown. The green beans tasted like they came straight from a Jolly Green Giant can. The Cowboy Caviar (which I usually love) was so bland. It was like they just poured beans and corn and pepper and onion in and that's it. I didn't taste any seasoning. Cowboy Caviar needs to have that zing (many simple recipes use Italian salad dressing). Moving onto my husband's dish which was probably the worst part. His tomato soup tasted like marinara sauce but we were hoping the filet mignon would deliver. It was simply not good. It wasn't as tender as filet mignon needs to be -- it was chewy. It did seem to be cooked as requested (medium rare) but it didn't taste good and seemed flavorless -- almost as if the meat was poor quality. Now, I know that filet mignon is a much more mild tasting cut and less flavorful than a ribeye for instance, but still, something felt very off with this steak. Neither of us enjoyed it and that's a bummer (especially at that price point). KIDS: Usually restaurants like this one are more kid-friendly so I was a bit surprised. Our kids are 3.5YO and 2YO. They brought a booster for my youngest. It had no straps at all (which I'm not even complaining about because those straps are broken at literally every restaurant). We were in a booth so it worked okay mostly. What I'm unhappy about is the lack of coloring options and kids menus. We were not brought any crayons and coloring paper upon seating so we inquired. The waitress said she'd look and ended up coming back with crayons and some paper placemats to doodle on? I respect the ingenuity but I was confused. They have crayons on hand but they don't offer them to the kids? What's the deal with that? They didn't have a kids menu printed anywhere and the waitress just told us the offerings out loud. So is there an official kids menu or not? I'd like to be able to see the prices as well. Also a bit perplexing. We went ahead and ordered one grilled cheese for the kids to share and I'm glad because it was big but also not very good. The bread was too dense so it was more of a bread sandwich. My kids weren't that into it. Almost forgot -- the fries that came with the grilled cheese were actually very good (got to give credit where it's due). TIME: Our food took forever. It wasn't a fun wait -- the kids were getting super restless. The waitress stopped by a couple times to tell us that "our food is just around the corner." Even though it ended up being untrue -- I appreciate her checking in.

I honestly really appreciate him being patient with all of us full of energy after our morning workout. I ordered a hot latte with their Miso Maple syrup and oat milk.
