I'd previously visited the Round Rock restaurant (Delizioso) of the same ownership, and been impressed by their innovative style. That style (but obviously not the name) continued with their move to Taylor. The place features quality, flavorful food simply presented. The printed menu regularly changes, and there are frequent appetizing (and sometimes mouthwatering) posts to their Facebook page. I wish I lived closer by, as I'm thinking my husband and I would become regulars. The eating area at Main Street includes 7 tables, with a total capacity of around 20 people. The parking area in the strip center is somewhat limited. My husband ordered an egg salad BLT and chips, and I had a corned beef sandwich. Each came with a pickle spear and a side. I loved my corned beef, and the potato salad was excellent. The portion size was adequate for the price. My husband was lukewarm on his sandwich choice. We had ice water to drink, at an additional, but IMO unwarranted, charge of 25 cents apiece given we each ordered a meal. Doesn't look like much from the outside but, boy, do they make an impressive #Reuben ! $15 for a sandwich seemed a bit pricey at first but the one they made was so full of #pastrami, single slice of #Swiss & #1000Islands type sauce, it took me three sittings to finish... & it came with a fresh, crunchy dill & lightly-salted, homemade Potato chips. All in all, a yummy brunch! I have to give a top review & #congrats for one of the best tasting, light European #LemonMazipan #cakes I have tasted, this side of the Rio Grande. Last time I tasted anything that close to #perfection was in #SantaBarbara #Montecito &, once, at a #birthday soiree in #TheColony for a well-known Industry #music #composer. With regard to service, the cashier needs to listen a bit better to #customers, rather than rush to get a total for ordered food, #imho. She might benefit from a bit more customer service training to understand that a #smile goes much further than a frown, when asked for something outside of her 'modis operandi'. Granted, she's young; time & experience will help smooth out the rough edges. The bar is set where few places reach at this establishment. Freshness, value, and taste are there. Breads good. Toppings and meat are piled room high. The place is kept super clean. 9.4 would recommend. read more

This establishment could be offering a much needed service in this community, but they are really missing the mark. The menu was scribbled in sharpie on a paper bag and taped to the counter and the drink menu is a list of pictures of twenty or more sugary concoctions. On the door was an advertisement for smoothies, but there was no smoothie menu inside. When I asked about the smoothies the employee told me the many options. I asked if they are made with real fruit and she said that the smoothies are fruit-based. I ordered a smoothie and a wrap and the total was $26! The tip options were 18%, 20%, or 30%. For what? To select my lunch from a paper bag menu and have the rest of the menu rattled off to me? It's unrealistic and unprofessional. The $8 smoothie ended up giving me a headache because it's loaded with added sugar and the wrap was definitely nothing to write home about; it should cost about $7, not $14! So I spent around $30 for a lunch that left me feeling sick. We need to do better for our communities. read more

Deli relocated from Round Rock (under a different name) to Taylor Texas. Their new name is "Main Street Deli and Diner". Only open a short time and their hours have varied. Converted a donut shop into a nice little cafe with limited seating. Reuben is normally grilled but not here. Give them a try but expect a bump or two while they sort things out. read more

Fabulous sandwiches. Lovely people. You should go, and go on a regular basis. Now that I have found them, I will. I got the Italiano, my husband got the Reuben. We are spoiled on a certain deli in Chicago and this was easily...comparable. So, I pledge to go at least once a week! You should too. read more

New deli in Taylor. They are still working out the kinks, but the day we went for breakfast it was pretty great. Everything was hot and fresh and came out quickly. I believe they will be starting up serve lunch soon, so excited to try those options. Definitely worth checking out. read more

Nice to have a deli with a lot of options. What i and my friends had was tasty. We had been putting off going because they never responded to a few messages we sent asking if they have gluten free options, so we took a chance. They in fact do not have any gluten free substitutes but the owner was nice to let us know about certain ingredients and helped us make a safe choice. The downfall is that it was pretty loud since the place is so small, and the tables are pushed together fairly close to each other. For Taylor, this is a nice addition that (thank goodness!) is not a chain. read more

I just went this week Friday got a Reuben. It was big enough for the two of us. Packed full of meat on toasted rye bread delicious. You get the sandwich with their chips pickle and tea. Everyone was very friendly!!!! Peggy read more

The Reuben sandwich we shared was delicious, very meaty and served on grilled rye bread just as it should be. The iced tea was fresh and refills provided with a smile. The table service was friendly and our order accurate. The diner is small and can seat about 20 people but it was spotless and pleasant. They also offer drive through service. read more

Good food but not always good service. Often orders are wrong. Just went there and they are closed and per the hours stated on Yelp they are supposed to be open for another 30 minutes. No sign or explanation, no hours posted. read more
