Stopped in for dinner as we were driving to Ogunquit. No reservation but we sat at the bar…read more Restaurant is very clean, not too loud. They have an upstairs and downstairs seating area. The service was very good, our bartender was attentive throughout our dining experience. The food was amazing and came out pretty quickly. We had a lobster roll (ordered warm) which was buttery, if you like it that way & Haddock tacos. My martini was very strong, maybe a little too much for myself, but not complaining! For dessert, we split the blueberry cheesecake, it was DELICIOUS. Would definitely return here if I was driving back to Maine in the future.

His replies were delayed, his tone was monotone, and he did not seem confident with the menu. When my wife asked if they had the blueberry beer, he took the menu from the table and stood there reading it silently instead of checking with the bartender. Later, when my wife went to modify a dish, he said he was not sure they could do that. She told him, "I know they can. I do this every time I am here," and that is when he mentioned he had only been working there a few months. It explained the uncertainty, but it did not make the interaction smoother. The strangest moment was when I said I did not like the club soda. He came back and said, "Since you do not like the club soda you will not like the flat water, so I brought you a sparkling bottle instead since it is the same price." It was not rude. It was simply a very odd assumption and not something I have ever had a server decide on their own. On the positive side, the star of the meal, and honestly every time we come, is the shrimp cocktail. Huge shrimp served over crushed ice with cocktail sauce and extra horseradish. The shrimp were incredibly fresh, very firm, and had that perfect crunch with each bite. Absolutely delicious. The kitchen continues to deliver, and the rest of the staff seemed great, but the service at our table did not match the usual experience. We will be back for the food, especially that shrimp cocktail, but hopefully with a more confident and consistent front of house experience next time.

Unfortunately, only after we had waited and were seated did our server tell us that the fryer was broken. That meant no fries, no house-made chips, no fish and chips, and essentially a significantly limited menu. We were also told they had run out of oysters. None of this was mentioned by the hostess when we checked in. Had we been told upfront that much of the menu was unavailable, we simply would not have waited. At that point, having already invested the time, we decided to stay and ordered lobster rolls, which came with a bag of packaged chips rather than the sides we had expected. What was most disappointing was not that equipment broke or that the restaurant ran out of oysters--those things happen. The problem was the complete lack of hospitality surrounding it. Guests should be informed of a substantially limited menu before being asked to wait for a table, particularly when the limitations affect some of the restaurant's signature offerings. It was difficult not to feel that this information was intentionally withheld to avoid losing our business. Even after we were seated and learned of the situation, there was NO acknowledgment OR ATTEMPT from management and no effort whatsoever to make up for the diminished experience--not even a small courtesy. We paid full price for lobster rolls and BAG OF CHIPS, despite that being far from the meal we had come for. We still left our server a good tip because none of this was his fault. But with so many other options within walking distance, the lack of basic communication and hospitality means we will not return.

They serve up lobster rolls (mayo or buttered), fried belly clams (& rolls), crab rolls, smoked brisket brats, chicken fingers, lobster stew, lobster dip, lobster ABLT, chips, cookies, H-Jays frozen custard, soft drinks, lemonade and iced tea. At the time of this posting, their website was still under construction and they will be offering DoorDash delivery. There are picnic tables in front of the trailer. After an appointment nearby, I stopped by the Trapped in York Maine food trailer. I decided to order a Small Trapped Meal ($24 plus tax) with a Small Lobster Roll, bag of Cape Cod Sea Salt Chips, watermelon cubes, 2 homemade Maine spice cookies, and a fresh lemonade. My order was prepared to order in about 8 minutes. I enjoyed my food outside. The Lobster Roll (3 oz of knuckle & claw meat in mayo) on a toasted New England hot dog roll. The watermelon and chips were good sides for the Maine style lobster roll. The 2 homemade sweet Maine spice cookies were soft and chewy. The iced lemonade was refreshing, as I enjoyed the rest in the ride after finishing my meal.

I was excited to find out that they are in fact open on Sundays- so Yelp is wrong about that. I got the large which is 6 oz on a hot buttered brioche roll, which can be served cold with just mayo, or warm with butter. I opted for the latter. It was DELICIOUS - more tail than claw- which made me extra happy!! The service was outstanding, I believe the owner was there- but the young lady was also quite sweet. They answered all my questions, both on the phone, and in person. I also ordered the haddock and fries for tomorrow- but of course I tried it. So tender and flaky!! Their fries are hand cut, and have both sweet potatoes and regular potatoes. So good! Lunch is going to be great tomorrow! The place is a yellow food truck, so seating is casual at picnic tables. It is quite lovely! I was hungry- so I had already taken a few bits of my lobster roll- sorry about that haha
