I did pick up from here for my birthday (I wish I added the date on the order) and I wasn't disappointed. The workers are always extremely nice, even when they are slammed and busy. The place is really cozy too, it almost feels like you are in New York, it's small, but that's the point, it makes you feel at home. The pizzas are not at all small and this is always my go-to place for some good pizza with a good bank for my buck with amazing ingredients. The fughetaboutit is definitely an experience worth trying, I wish it wasn't $42, but it was worth every penny. I would highly recommend this place both on special occasions and if you are just strolling through Covington. They give Costco-size slices (which is about the length of a 1 liter bottle. At first I looked at it and thought "this pizza must be smaller on the right they shorted me" but then after measuring I realized that is was 22" but the one on the left was 24" on one side. We loved this cute little spot! We met Lexington employee Sean earlier in the day, who gave us a gift card that was enough to cover two slices of pizza! So generous! The pizza was hot and fresh, with good crust and delicious ranch on the side. Essential pizza spot for New York style pizza! We stopped in early on a Friday evening, around 5:30. They told us it would be an hour an a half for pizza. We were all okay with waiting and hanging out in Main Strasse. 2 hours later we hadn't heard back so we went to check on the pizza and it was done they just forgot to call us as they said they would. Not a big deal since it really wasn't too long past the 1.5 hours they told us about. Other than that pizza was delicious! Thin crust and crispy, it held up to par with the pizza I have had in New York. There was a generous amount of cheese, and other toppings. Oh ya and the pizza was gigantic! Though the 5 of us were starving by the time we ate we still had leftovers. Outdoor seating in the back is perfect for covid friendly eating. JUST AN AWESOME PLACE! You can just stop by get a slice and keep moving, maybe by the slice and eat it in a small counter they have there, You can order and sit outside or even go upstairs and get a couple of drinks. The obvious reason to visit this place is the pizza of course! Not only it taste really good no matter if you but a slice that has been in the heating rack for a bit or if its just fresh out of the oven, if you like NY style pizza, this is one of the best spots I know and 100% recommend. Now its not just the taste but how BIG they are as well. The thing is that if you think the Pizza is big the garlic stick is triple the size of a regular one in any other place, and it taste great as well. The one negative and I understand the why its the options of the pizzas per slice. In my case im a pepperoni guy or any kind of meats pizza but my wife is not, she is more of the margarita type of pizza for ex. So when we go to get just a slice or two I'm always happy because they always have my type since is the more normal/popular ones, but not in her case. But as I said, it's understandable not making an special pizza just to sit there for hours. You can still order it, it just has to be a full pizza. Besides that... 120% coming back asap! read more

A group of us went to Mainstrausse in Covington for Mardi Gras celebration and we decided to start at Good fellas. Their pizza is so delicious and the slices are huge. A meal in itself with one slice. I ordered the sundried tomatoes with spinach. I forgot a picture. Very bad of me. We headed up to the bar upstairs and got to sit on the comfy couches and drink a spectacular Audrey Hepburn which is vodka pomegranate sour mix with lemon twist. This local chain purports to bring the flavor of New York to Cincinnati, and I admit there was a bit of a New York-y smell to it. This location is a small space (with an upstairs lounge attached) which is open late, and it was pretty well packed on the Friday night when I checked in. The salad I started with was a bit disappointing; it seemed to have been sitting in the fridge for a while and was kind of soggy, and the Italian dressing didn't impress me. It was cheap though. The pizza itself, which I got only after they briefly mixed up my order, was solid, and the vegetables I paid for were plentiful, but again, was not exceptionally fresh and delicious. For what I used this place for-a late night stop-it was fine, but it wasn't quite as delicious as I'd hoped. read more

My husband and I love this place! If we are out late in Main Strasse, I can almost guarantee we'll end up in the pizza line by the end of the night. Their lunch special is something I crave occasionally- the breadstick is a meal in itself and I like to get cheese dipping sauce for a super indulgent but also super well priced lunch. What can we say? We love pizza! On our stay over the Valentine's Day weekend on our last night my wife and I decided we wanted to have some pizza! We looked and looked but none of the reviews or pictures came close to what we saw for Goodfellas. We originally wanted to get delivery and were a little bummed to see they didn't deliver. We understood they want the absolute best quality possible. We grabbed an Uber and were on our way. Let me tell you, this was probably the best decision we could have made. They have a selection of pre baked pizzas in multiple flavors ready to buy by the slice or if you want a specific pizza you need to order your own. These pizzas are HUGE! I decided on two slices of pepperoni and my wife decided on a slice of cheese and a slice of pepperoni. We also ordered breadsticks and ranch as well as buffalo ranch. The pizza was absolutely exceptional, the flavors were great, the cheese and sauce were perfect and the pepperoni was so good! The breadsticks were as legit and flavorful as they come. The ranch which is house made is phenomenal but the buffalo ranch... well that was life changing. Can you just bottle it and send us some pretty please? It is absolutely worth the drive. The staff was super friendly and even jumped in on a picture for us, we truly enjoyed the decor, the atmosphere, and the food. This is the total package and the real deal. Unique by the slice pizzeria with a bourbon list that could make the best on the bourbon trail jealous. They're out of cheese and basic pizzas like Pepperoni now and then but it's because this place is popular. Looking for a place to grab a quick lunch while in Cinci, I found parking in this neighberhood and quickly saw I could choose between Chicago style deep dish pizza across the street, or NY style pizza by the slice here at Goodfellas. Thinking the price and time would be more to my needs at the moment, I opted for Goodellas. There was an assortment of cooked pies to choose from in the deli line here, most basic. Huge slices. I chose a pepperoni and a spinach and sun dried tomato slice...and a giant breadstick with both cheese and marinara dipping sauces. A lot of bread, a lot of carbs--but this was midday on a Saturday where it was my first meal and likely last meal of the day given my event schedule. So it worked out. Add a soft drink and a tip, I'm out on their front sidewalk at a table for less than $20 in less than 5 minutes. I like that they briefly rebake their pizza by the slice and throw it on a serving tray for you so that it's hot and the cheese pulls again. It was all pretty good--no the best pizza I've ever had, but certainly not the worst. I think I actually liked the $3 enormous breadstick a tad more than the pizza itself. read more

Very inconsistent! Not only is it inconsistent but a couple of other workers are kind of rude so tonight. After I ordered some pizza, I asked for a couple of extra packets of Parmesan cheese, and the gentleman acted as if I didn't wanna give them to me. Um sir I asked for 6 paid parmesan cheese to dress the brunt pizza up. You acting as if I have not been coming in here for the last few weeks once a week. So at this point, I notice it's just inconsistent sometimes the pizza is good. I love this place so much. One slice of their pizza is my food for a whole day and the sauce cup is a quarter of my calories for the next day. The pizza is always delicious, foldable, and greasy and, 85% of the time, it's borderline perfect. They have a good drink selection too and the bartenders are bourbon aficionados who will rec things if you ask. They also have an awesome patio, as if they couldn't get any better. We went to there on Mon afternoon 3pm. It was surprised busy. You order from counter and they bring pizza to you after. The pizzeria serve limited beer and there is a bar upstairs serve mixed drinks and whisky. We ordered half and half pizza with their specialty. Pizza is good, however, not my favor. Pizza is little dry, really need more sauce and cheese. Sauce is little too raw tomato taste and lack some flavor. Dough is a little over cooked. However, Toppings are good and fresh. The restaurant is located at an old building. The dinning room and bathroom is very small. Gangster decor is unique. Overall, it's worth to try. read more

The smell of baking pizza drifts out the door and into the street beckoning all pizza lovers to come in and eat. Street side, back porch, and limited indoor seating available. Indoor seating is tight and there are barstools, only, which I hate with my medium length legs. Rain kept us indoors. Pepperoni and bacon Pizza took 30 minutes to prepare. Pizza by the slice is available. Our pie was piping hot! A guy from NJ asked me why I was holding my slice with 2 paper plates! He thought that I was starting a trend. But, the pizza was too hot to handle! Slices are large and from what the NJ guy mentioned, to fold and eat. The staff was friendly and fun. It was a semi busy evening. Most people ordered to-go. Great pizza! My favorite in Cincinnati particularly for NYC style pizza. Two slices is more than enough to fill most people.

Well first off, I'm a New Yorker, born, raised and spent most of my life (also half Italian) so,you need to factor that in, for better or worse, when considering my review. The premise: any storefront with an Italian flag flying, red checkered tablecloths on the sidewalk tables, and round trash can painted in Italy's colors is gonna grab my notice. The offer of "a SLICE of New York City" was one I could not refuse so I decided to give it a try. The premises: looked really promising through the glass door, but when I walked in, before my eyes (and nose) had a chance to really take in the atmosphere, my EARS were assailed by blasting music which went far beyond country into a realm I can only describe as hillbilly music. It was jarring and SO unsuitable for a pizzeria, I mean, Mamma mia, what are these guys thinking? Don't know if that's always the case or if the employees on duty get free rein and I picked a bad time. The serving counter exudes authenticity, from the prepared pies under glass, soda fountain, to the familiar huge ovens, and the sight of a well trained pizza chef tossing the dough made my eyes moisten as homesick nostalgia washed over me. Seating is limited to just a counter lining the walls with stools, which you may actually can encounter in some of the more spacially-challenged digs in parts of the City. You'll have images of Sinatra, Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, yes even the beloved John Gotti gazing down on you....along with the obligatory Yankees photo (in NY, you'll actually find homage to the Mets just as often if not more). But that music, aggggh! Sorry but a big minus one star for something that really spoiled the atmosphere not to mention the authenticity. The food: yeah, they got it down! Taste, toppings, and texture, including the chewy crust and all important foldability, all qualify for five stars. Required seasonings in the proper containers provided plentifully along the dining counter. One point just to note...the pies, hence the slices, are a little TOO huge. (You'll never see a NY pizzeria bragging about how BIG their slices are.) It's kinda like NY style meets Texas style. Maybe that explains the music? The alter ego: upstairs you will find a bourbon bar/lounge, which one of the workers was kind enough to show me even though they don't open till 4 PM. Looked pretty cool. Called the Wiseguy lounge, and most definitely NOT something you'd see in Queens sharing space with a pizzeria. Seems like it should have its own Yelp entry? What they don't want you to know: this is a small, but growing, regional CHAIN. Check the website. Overall: the food is authentic for sure, and the only option for an actual slice of pizza for 20 miles or more. A-O.K. read more
